Translation short:
Question"Haben Sie Vertrauen in das neue Internetgeld?" "Do you believe in bitcoin"

Answer short " Ja, warum nicht? Schließlich muss man in jede Währung Vertrauen haben, auch in den Euro und den Dollar. Und wer kann schon garantieren, dass es diese Währungen ewig gibt?" "Yes I do believe in Bitcoin. I do believe in every currency, but who can guarantee me that the other currencys lasts forever"

BTW: "Abstimmen" means "Vote!"

Your translation is a bit off...

Question: "Haben Sie Vertrauen in das neue Internetgeld?"
Translation: "Do you trust the new internet money?" ("Do you have trust in the new internet money?")

Answer 3: "Ja, warum nicht? Schließlich muss man in jede Währung Vertrauen haben, auch in den Euro und den Dollar. Und wer kann schon garantieren, dass es diese Währungen ewig gibt?"
Translation: "Yes, why not? After all you need to trust every currency, even (also) the Euro and the US-Dollar. Also who can guarantee that these currencies will exist forever?"

The other answers are:
Answer 1: "Nein, auf keinen Fall. Schließlich gibt es auch keine Zentralbank, die dafür ihre Hand ins Feuer halten würde."
Translation: "No way. After all there is no central bank that would hold their hand in the fire for that [= that would take risks/give serious promises]"

Translation: "Maybe, but looking at the development of the exchange rates you can see that you need to be very careful as investor. Otherwise it will be "easy earned, easy lost!"".

;)

Literal translations from German always sound weird, on the other hand the translation of "do you trust...?" could be "vertrauen Sie...?" instead of "haben Sie Vertrauen in...?" which is why I mentioned both the strange and the "correct" version.

Also I believe that people should vote for what they feel most comfortable with, not what might be percieved as the most beneficial for the community currently. What happens if a lot of people suddenly hear about BTC and start throwing money at it can be seen on the exchange rates of the last 3 months and the last 3 days.

In Germany they force the working people to pay taxes (so called "Rundfunkgebühren" --> broadcast fees) for state-run television and radio. Something around 17€ per month.

It is simply incredible to have to pay for such an extent of propaganda and desinformation, that is contained in this articles. and in nearly all other articles, too.

Alone this (being forced to pay for propaganda, desinformation, bullshit and the high salaries of the functionaries) is a reason for a man of honor and values not to participate in the official economy.

And by the way - a vote on a web page changes nothing.

And by the way - a vote on a web page changes nothing.

Doing nothing changes nothing. Positive action moves the earth. It all starts with one person taking action.

In Italy we have to pay like 200€ each year, it is the "tax to have a television", money used for the national channels... yeah well, wasted money.  ::)

This! 4 years ago Satoshi put a software on a website, available to everyone. Today it is a billion dollar economy, growing.

bump.

Of course the answers are stupid. Something like "yes of course I trust the laws of mathemathics more than any central banker." is completely missing.

But it's mass media and they want easy answers so let's give them that!

Big thanks to the OP for finding this and bringing it up here!

Joe

I hate when they put one reason per yes/maybe/no. Especially when the reason for my pick is flawed.
You trust bitcoin?
Yes, because earth is flat
Maybe, because squirrels are cute
No, because Kim Jong-Un is dangerous

Vote however you want. I don't really like manipulating things like this though.  This voting was meant for regular users watching that tv show in germany... not for all the die hard bitcoin fans on the bitcoin forums to go spam vote yes.

With that said... I voted yes  ;D

No. This is an illusion. Or delusion. Or both. As far as I observed history and actual occurences positive activism is/was always assimilated.

Take Jesus (first man known by me who critized the something like the fiat system) and christian belief. Assimilated.

Take the 68 movement in his radical strive for freedom. Assimilated.

The ideals and the actions of the US-american revolution from 1776. Assimilated.

The human act that really moves things on earth is a better understanding of (rules of) reality.

Take firearms. The knowledge about how to manufacture working firearms is spread. It is not imaginable that warfare reverts to stones, swords or bows.

Take cryptography. The knowledge ist spread. It is not imaginable that someone starts to encrypt in the way from 500 years ago, where letters where moved around.

German.... What a beautiful language. Like Klingon.

As a natural born German I can guarantee you, that German is the language you want to use, if you really want to penetrate the core of being in existence by thinking.
