I'd like to see the top winners prove it, no fakers claiming 1,000,000 BTC please lol

It would be fun to see who the heavy hitters are and what a heavy hitter is defined as.  I want to get an idea of what is considered a lot, or a little.
I'm not sure if I have a lot or a little, so I will ask the community first.  ;)

I'm sitting on a good amount.  Wonder if I have more than anyone else, or not.   If nobody has close to my amount I might keep my mouth shut.  lol

You wont get accurate answers here since no one would tend to tell of their bitcoin holdings in public and they would rather choose to keep silent than saying on how many coins do they have and also exposing private information is not really ideal to be on public as we all know hackers and scammers are everywhere no matter how good you are on keeping your bitcoin the risk of lossing it is still there.

I don't think any big holder will feel comfortable disclosing how much they hold because it will increases security risks for him. People use bitcoin to remain anonymous so there will be no point for most of us to reveal number of bitcoins we hold or anything that is linked to us.  ;)

Why would anyone even reply here. May I know your intentions which does not seem noble if you are asking the users who's the richest, this will be used by newbies claiming to be rich with 1000 satoshi's. I don't think anyone should post any information here, it's unnecessary risk and before it becomes a trill ground, I vote lock it.

Nobody would ever show something to you bitcoin users here are anonymous and so as their bitcoin but it is really up to them if they would really want to show it on public like what you do, you are daring some users to showoff their wallets and not daring yourself in showing yours, nobody would give anything to you information even the slightest screenshot!

You would get a better response, if you changed the question a little bit, or even if you add a Poll. People might be a bit hesitant to reveal their

true total, but if you break it up, you might get a better result. Example : People owning 1 to 20 / 20 to 50 / 50 to 100 / 100+ ... We have a

lot of scammers and hackers trolling the forum for possible targets, so people will hide their real totals. I store 80% of my coins in cold storage

to avoid them, so most of my coins is offline... and it will stay there. I have access to MANY virgin computers that has never been on the

internet, so if I want to sweep some, I can just use one of them.  ;D

I don't think the person with most BTC is active again on the forum, anyone with 1000BTC and above will not be active again on the forum. I stand to be corrected.

Nobody would be that stupid to say they own hundreds or thousands of Bitcoins. It's like going in an aglomerated center and screaming "I'VE GOT MILLIONS WITH ME!" - you'd become instantly vulnerable and exposed to thieves and criminals that could possibly be around you. Here it's about hackers: if any hacker knew you had millions, your PC would be infected ASAP with some Keylogger or any other virus. Plus that most of us need anonymity, so nobody will share private data on the forum.

They a lot of people who have a lot of bitcoins, but the vast majority will not tell you how they own. I think in that case is better to stay low profile and don't say how much you have in your possession in order to avoid to be the target of the malicious people.

I guess, most of us who are here have more than 1 or 2 BTC. but, I believe, have the some of the bitcoin will not make you the richest here. Well, there are still many people who have a lot of bitcoin, but they might prefer to keep quiet and stay calm.

Well I will rank top from bottom. If you believe I would say honestly that I had never seen 1btc in my wallet and is my dream to make 1 bitcoin. And that day would be the most awesome day in my bitcoin world.

Much better to check blockchain you can find some logs there pop up and check every transaction maybe you can found a one address which has 1million bitcoins..
For me i am dreaming even 10 btc but still now i can't reach even 1 btc.. i just spending it for scaling up trying to earn much more in any different ways..

These addresses are owned by exchanges and mining pools and don't give any info as to who (as a person) owns the most bitcoins. Silk road owner used to have a lot, but we all know how that ended.

Technically it was not a premine, the software was public from block 1, the reason Satoshi scooped up so many was because only a few nerds cared about bitcoin in 2009.
Also, Satoshi gave away massive amounts of bitcoin when they were worthless.

Well, this must have been the shittiest premine I have ever seen, because Satoshi has not touched those coins since they have been mined. Is a premine beneficial in any way, if the person doing that are not gaining any financial benefit from that? We might never know, but if he or she touch the coins the resulting panic will trigger a massive dump and those coins will be worthless in a matter of hours. The early adopters will never reveal their holdings as a matter of pride and also security concerns.

Largest number of bitcoin holder can never be found exactly. Though its pseudo anonymous it gives the complete feature of the anonymity. So in my biggest transactions list can be seen in Blockchain.info but if we can track the particular wallet address then can find the largest holding person exactly.

What is the point of not telling how much bitcoin they own, I mean not anyone will steal it from them.
I think the majority of people who are on this forum are just lying about their real amount they have, they might have, it does not matter but how much you have and how well you will use it .

i don't think that the person who have the most bitcoin will show who they are. they will keep it secretly and maybe a few people around them that will know that they have the most bitcoin. beside that, i think its not good to show that for example we said "I have the most bitcoin with the total amount of 1 million bitcoin and i have the proof".

Digital signatures are ok, but I must warn anyone attempting them to move BTC into a new account A then again back where it was or to yet another new account B.  Then only provide a digital signature on Account A that passed the BTC but is not holding it.   Because Digital Signatures feel like a vulnerable way for a private key to be calculated in reverse using the same math as verifying the digital signature.  But lets not argue that, just don't keep anything in an account you gave a digital signature out for.

Funny that you guys talk about signature spam and junk.  What is a paid signature worth?  2 pennies?  A fraction of 1 cent?   That isn't worth the electricity powering the computer and screen used to type this!   Pathetic!

I don't think you can find the accurate result by all the users . Because here someone can tell seriously but not everyone .
And Secondly some person can paste here the another user bitcoin address , like from the site or blogs , So you can't calculate accurately . Since you can get some ideas about this from using the manually bitcoin address at blockchain .

Yes people can lie, but we have smart users that know how to verify an account with a digital signature or by showing "Look this XXXXX is an empty address, watch me fill it tomorrow, then empty it.  So you know it was me."

I think Satoshi is the person having most of the bitcoins and the top 500 bitcoin wallets have 50% of bitcoin than rest of the wallets but there is no way to identify the real faces behind those wallets. I think those who have most of the bitcoins are usually miners and then traders. We can trace the rich wallets but not rich bitcoin holders.

I don't think the question itself will yield any significant answer because it's going to be my word against his and how will he determine if I'm telling the truth? Consequently it's very relative because how can I say I have the most without comparing to others on this platform? It's just a rhetorical question and I think everyone should treat it as such and get this thread locked.

I also wonder who exactly has the largest bitcoin here. maybe it could motivate the newcomers, or a beginner, so that they could collect his bitcoin. but, I do not think they will be showing off all bitcoin they have, because most people will probably think that it is just the nature of the exhibition. but, I'm sure he has more than 50 BTC.

I'm not being serious when I say this but one way that you can prove how much you have is either something like a screenshot of your wallet (depending on what medium you are using) or you could send a signed message from your address that says "x owns this address" and prove it that way.

120 is pretty solid but no were near the top. There are guys here that have 1,000s to 10,000s. Guy/Gals that were mining in the earliest days. This is THE Bitcoin Forum, anyone who has been involved in bitcoin since 2009 has (or had) a presence on this forum.

This is true we cant really point out whos the one have lots of bitcoin on this forum since members do have different timescale on engaging to bitcoin.Some may the earliest adopters and some arent thats why we cant be sure if anyone is telling the truth and if theres on who shows his wallet ballance bravely then there should be have a proof.

I already told you they would have spent it on the power bill during the GPU mining era.
When they had it, 1000 in one day, they correctly viewed it and treated it for what it was worth:  NOT MUCH.

I remembered some news that a boy I think hes in legal age now that has many bitcoin and when the time he knows that it has a big value at the time he sells it and opened a restaurant that accept bitcoin I dont know any updates of him now but thinking who has the most bitcoin are the ones who's in there when bitcoin was created.

Yes no one wants to know the real identities behind bitcoin wallets but having geographical, age, gender related data would help bitcoin startups to reach more people and to learn more about behavior of the bitcoin users. I think we should have some universal data of the user base in order to help bitcoin awareness.

if somebody has the most bitcoin then we will be the richest person among us and i don't think that s/he will show in front of public. he can use the bitcoin for many things or still keeping bitcoin for the rest and wait for good timing to sell.

Anyone sane and still active will never tell publicly how much bitcoin he has if he has a lot. This is a question of security. If you say you have 10 000BTC do not worry that bad willed people will see it and will not let you in peace ! You will then be the target of daily attacks.

Probably those who said that they have that big amount of bitcoin are just making a joke, no one in its clear mind would ever do that. It requires certain intelligence and hard work to raise that amount of bitcoin and you could be very rich already. I think that who has more btc in this forum are the scammers creators of shitcoins.

Few weeks ago a certain Dev scammer stole more than 50 btc and it was not the first time he stole so many bitcoins, so I understand he has stolen bitcoins since 2014

Nobody on their right mind here in this forum will speak about that thing as they are afraid to be targeted by hackers. Also big time investors with that huge volume of bitcoin at hand doesnt spend their time hanging out in this forum but they are busy on their business. In my opinion there are no individual in the world that has 1 million bitcoins in their disposal but the possible highest amount an individual can possess is that of a hundred thousand bitcoins and not a million.

You or we can't exactly know who have the most bitcoin because of course they will keep it as a secret because having a lot of bitcoin can be attract so much attention so it is better to keep their identity private but based on my observation, the one who have a lot of bitcoin is surely a chinese because there is a lot of mining farm there and a lot of early bird investors.

Silk road founder could have the most bitcoin in the past. Soon after the problem during the auction I could have got split into the hands of several users. A single man got auction of 60k bicoins, which is one third of the entire amount he has. So I don't think we can make a perfect decision of the highest holding person.

That is right, if I have a lot of bitcoins i will never tell everyone about it, it will be an attraction to someone that is desperate to earn bitcoin. And really chinese has the highest profit when it comes to bitcoin, they have the highest profit when it comes to mining, i have read an article and if i can remember its like 2.5 million dollars.

Bitcoin is anonymous and I think it will stay that way and many people like it that way like myself, and I think in some country because bitcoin don't progress more is because some people don't really share info and knowledge about it they just don't like other people knowing that they have some extra thing in their wallet and does only want to keep it to themselves.

Saying your amount of bitcoin to everyone in public might just get you to be hack by someone who wants your bitcoin, since we are talking about who has the most bitcoin here in this forum. The predators(hackers) are always out there just waiting for its prey(the one who has big amount of bitcoin) to get out of its shelter, and besides, I don't think that it is important to knows who has the biggest amount of bitcoin here, it is not that easy to believe when someone says that I do have the biggest amount bitcoin here in this forum, unless that certain person will show some evidence that he do really have.

The real big holders of bitcoin cannot be too vocal, for the sake of safety they would just shut their mouth and continue earning bitcoins. I doubt if he is really telling the truth but 100% I would not believe without any proof. I do not know who has the most bitcoins here and I am not interested to know it, it's enough for me that I'm earning bitcoin and I will be more focus on myself than minding other people's business.

You're right. Being vocal makes them a target for hackers. Although they can protect themself against that. However something like an extra password feature would be likely to implemented some day. For the average user, hackers are just an easy target.

may be I am the number 1 from bottom. I have bitcoin worth of about 0.1 btc and this amount makes me feel rich sometimes then think when i will have 1 btc what will happen. my cheast will sweel up in happines while I will be owner of 1 btc. hoping t gather soon 1 btc.

A 1,000,000 BTC is a billion dollars. I wont let anyone know I have that kind of amount or I am sure there will be hackers flying near me.
No one will claim that even if he does have it. It is too dangerous.
This could also shaken up the bitcoin society thinking what if's? What if suddenly he dumped it? There will be a lot of panic selling that might happen and could lead to bringing bitcoin back to low numbers of dollars.

Yup, everyone will surely do so. Because sometimes what we think far different than they think, better to stay focused on the goal and after that give some help to those who do have great intentions for success. Then it will be much better than having to make a thread with seeing the results we get. It all just makes them less-ripe will ask for or give the slander that he did not actually

You don't need to worry about answering what is OP was trying to tell you, and yes a lot of people would really never gonna tell and show how much they got from Bitcoin, but actually there are some that will but I think some users that tells about how much their bitcoin are just lies or sometimes half truth we can really never tell but at least they have told something about the BTC that was on their wallet.

Well i had somehow managed to make 0.4 bitcoin in a time span of a year, actually working time of about 6 to 8 months and i hope that within 12 to 15 moths i will be owner of  1 bitcoin which is my primary dream.

Hackers wont just snap your bitcoin in your wallet by just seeing you scribble something in this forum ,the only possible way is that you make a foolish decision to install something from an unauthorized space. First is for security purposes, someone might get the interest to hack their account because he/she has many bitcoin. Second, his/her life as well as his/her family members' life might be at risk. I don't if there are persons here on forum who have very large amounts of Bitcoins. We can't see the hackers coming, because there is a lot of ways on how to hack our bitcoin wallets, and you could get hack by saying out loud that you have 5 bitcoin, here in this forum, but how? Use Blockchain.info to SEE the current holdings of any bitcoin account.

Use a digital signature to verify ownership.
OR
Ask the person to verify ownership and control of a wallet address by providing a few random numbers, and ask them to move those random amounts of BTC among their own accounts.
OR
Ask them to provide a new EMPTY BTC wallet account, transfer in, and transfer out, to prove ownership.
You can add random numbers to verify control of the new random wallet.

Nobody can guess a new random wallet that is empty AND tell you before hand exactly how much they will deposit BEFORE the deposit happens.
That will easily prove they are not lying.

I have enough bitcoins to feel confident and expect big profits in the future. But I still try to regularly replenish my wallet, as the more bitcoins, the better.

Do you think peoples who have most bitcoin will tell that they really have it here ? I am sure the whales want to hold their btc silently so no body can track their movement in the cryptocurrency world. Peoples who claimed that they have much btc are usually fake and only want some attention.

I've recently diversified my portfolio. It is now about 40% BTC, 40% EOS and 20% sitting with fiat on an exchange. I'm waiting for the price to drop to buy into either btc or a different project.  :P

I don't have a lot of bitcoin. Maybe only rich people have a lot of bitcoin. I just collected a little then sold it. And never collect up to a lot of bitcoin. I think it's rare for people to hold a lot of bitcoin. Maybe just a few bitcoins.

I think many people on the forum told you they are holding the bitcoin the most. But you will not get the most accurate results. There will be people who hold  bitcoin in huge numbers but they will not reveal their names. For me, I currently hold 250 bitscoin and I do not identify myself as the most bitcoin holder.

No one here will admit that they are holding huge amount of bitcoin. And its hard to gather information who are the people who has allot of bitcoin in their possessions.

iam holding and Lending my coins since 4 years now and it was possible to double my start amount.
What i guess is a good starting XD So far i didnt found a better why then lending to increase my bitcoins.

That'll be so private question, i guess, because nobody would really want to share how much bitcoin they have in their digital wallet. Even me, i only have small chunk of it but i don't feel sharing how much i have. :)

I have bitcoin but in small number just for trade in exchanger. Most coin that i hold is altcoin. I am believe altcoin is good investment for big profits because many altcoin right now have cheap price

About who is very rich in the forum i can speculate that these are the admins, moderators and legendaries (top oldest probably)
Satoshi itself is known for having lots of bitcoins and if all of those who speculated bitcoin are his/them them he is the first new billionaire or even the trillionaire when the bitcoin price will explode and I think that will explode in the near future (maybe not on this decade but I hope for sure in the next decade 2020+)

I'm just a little bit because yes now I have experienced a disaster in the financial sector and market prices in my opinion, I think I haven't been lucky this year and my hopes for next year will rise as high as last year

if hodlers wants it to be private then why would you think that satoshi nakamoto has a lot of bitcoins ? just because he is the founder ?  well even if you arent the founder of bitcoin i think it is still fine to expose your balance on public because you cannot still loose it or you cant just be hacked by anyone as long as they know that you are holding a lot of coins in your wallet , not unless you will also post your pass words and private keys publically  .

whales or crypto whales are also the potential big hodlers of bitcoin because they are powerful and they did control the entire crypto market .

It is something that need to keep private not only for the safety of it but also for the safety of the holder. I do not think there is someone who claim it to be him and announce all over here and be famous. Not all the time you have to tell everybody what you have for them to believe about it.

I don't think anybody would disclose his/her money in bitcoin to you on this forum, frankly speaking. It is not an easy or simple thing to do, for security and safety reasons it is not even advisable to do so.  For you to get people to answer this for you, you need to disclose yours first.

The person who owns the most bitcoin in the world is not the one who created the Electronic Currency, because no one knows exactly how much Bitcoin he owns. However, people who have the most Bitcoins in the world, they are still Bitcoin buyers since it is only a few cents.

Mere making your address available on the forum can be risky let alone showing off your wealth of BTC accumulation. Most whales dont get on bitcointalk. maybe dont even have account here. Due to the spam and security reason most of the big guns I met on the forum had left. Who could believe Vitalik was that active here before he made it with ethereum? I am not sure his account had been active in a year by now. His own was not about security and spam I guess, He just got busier.

Who would say they are the ones with the highest bitcoin number. You can provide some specifics for that with such bitcoin, you can confidently say that you own the most bitcoin. I think on this forum there are many investors who have a large amount of bitcoin. But they will not consider themselves the ones with the most bitcoin.

Coming out here to declare the amount of bitcoin in anyone possession is not ideal for security reason. I actually come in love with bitcoin since I know that I can own huge amount of money without people knowing about it.

I think to find out who has the most bitcoin I think no one can find out because there is no list or system that can be used to find out how much bitcoin is held by investors.

I think government’s have most of our Bitcoins, they just can’t show it.

Ofcourse no one will tell here if they earned the most, it's not advisable to announce it or even tell your friends about it. It's better safe than sorry.

There is no such estimation that who is owning the most number of bitcoin as each one of us having some sort of but the SATOSHI NAKAMOTO, the sole owner and the inventor of bitcoin might have the highest number of bitcoin, though nobody has seen him yet but still he exists and he use to talk to his investors through social networking sites and then there could be some bitcoin whales also who could also have highest number of bitcoin but still there are no such exact estimation.

actually lots of coins which increase its development to become the main coins and working to improve the development and took control of the Bitcoin as well as being more of the Bitcoin. their development is constantly upgraded to valuable coins and is currently still in the development stage as Ethereum, EOS, and IOTA.
