I have questions regarding the the thread posted by ThiagoCMC (greate guide, btw) but feel they belong posted here under the Newbie section as they are more about understanding, functionality, and integration. The thread I followed for setting up a p2pool on a Ububtu server can be found here [https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=62842.msg (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=62842.msg)] First, I guess we should address my understanding of what p2pool is. My thought process is, I could setup a p2pool server and share it with friends. My questions on this are (feel free to send me to a resource that may cover this information) 1. is this correct? 2. If this is correct, how do I add users and passwords to provide individual logins per miner? For remote connections to my server. 3. How do I add my wallet key for payout? 4. How do I add users wallet keys for payout? In step 2 of the guide, there is a username and password added to the ~/.bitcoin/bitcoin.conf file. what is the purpose of this username and password? is it just for secured functionality between the p2pool application and the bitcoin application?
