i think bitcoin will be down for this year.
and what do you think?

these two are irrelevant! you can even say they are the two most irrelevant coins.
what i think is that you are wrong about bitcoin price, and XRP is the same as always it goes up and down, maybe 790 satoshi was a bit of a high price to buy at specially today that price went down to 750 satoshi but in long term it tends to come back up but you may have to hold it for a long time.

Xrp is really good coin and with good potential, last year in October it is at nearly 1390 sats from there the price is keep reducing, better it is not the right to sell XRP better you hold them for some more time in order to make profits from it. Price will increase but may be in a month better keep watching the market for analysis.

things with altcoin market is weird these days if you ask me and it is mostly because of bitcoin price rise that many of the altcoins took a hit and went down in price.

but XRP had some good news these days like being added to a new exchange that may lead to some rise but apart from that i wouldn't expect much profit out of it since you bought at 790

altcoins value is falling rapidly to btc as the price increase, the market isn't stable at all, i think xrp is going to have a good year though,

btw how many xrp have you bought @that price?

He'd definitely has to have about millions to somehow profit more BTC from XRP rise. This coin has a high good volume but its value isn't very desirable for me. And i don't really know what the purpose of this coin, what i do know is that its roadmap includes fiat gateway.  If its indeed XRP work, its value could have been better by now if it weren't for its max supply.

all altcoin is still under bitcoin
but if you say about altcoin trading
altcoin trading is still above bitcoin, you can see price waves altcoin always is above bitcoin
but must becerefull price waves is big , can big profit and can big lost too

i suggest you take a look at the prices before you give opinion like this one here!

XRP had a very nice run last year.
there was a big 100% rise at the start of the year and followed by a drop and another good rise for about 10% and so many other small rises and mid year there was a 50% pump and the year ended with another 100% rise (pump)

i don't know about you but i wouldn't call this poor investment.
