The transaction went from "awaiting exchange" to "failed" and now I have no clam or bitcoin.

Anyone experienced with this?

it happened to me, if you put a refund address they will simply return it automatically if not then contact them with TX IDs etc and they will return it for you, they did with me

Yes that's why you don't need to worried if you put the refund address it will be back soon your clam.i use this exchange many times and I donot have any bad experience failed transaction as of  now but if it will happen to me I know it will be back.

Awaiting exchange -> failed is casing due to delayed sending. (It is a common problem when you are sending from exchange / Xapo where payout are not instant)

Shapeshift is providing a super fast customer care services. I remember I was able to contact them through their 'chat facility', not sure that they are offering that now also. I just letting them know your calm deposit addy will solve your problem easily. They will be ready for exchange with current rates or you can get refund of your coins.

it happens when your transaction takes too long(for example,very low tx fee)
sometimes it is shown as failed,but in reality it went through
try waiting for the first confirm on your bitcoin address,then contact their support with your tx if it didn't go through
if you have put refund address for clams,they could be returned automatically to your clam wallet

I got the same problem yesterday.
In block chain explorer, There are 6+ confirmation already. But the transaction in shapeshift still at "Awaiting Deposit" status!
Already submit the request (#98283) But 12 hours passed but still got no response.
I loss quite a lot from this delay.
Will update status when I have responses from them.

If the transaction has taken 6+ confirmations on blockchain why shouldn't it be confirmed on shapeshift?
It intimates to shapeshift's poorest quality. If you have not set backup address, then i think you will not get bacj your money.
Try to contact support team, may be they put your backup address manually and return your delayed money.

Yes, There are 54 confirmations by now. And still waiting for they response for my request. Maybe they dont work in weekend. Hope I'll get their response tomorrow.

I had a similar problem because of slow transaction. Also on weekend. But they paid back the funds after one or two days, as I remember right.

They cant grant such thing which If you haven't putted your backup or refund address then they will really not bother to give it again to you that's why its really important to put up that refund address so that you would able to avoid the hassle when somethings goes wrong with your exchange into another coin. I have experience on not crediting the ETH which I do exchange for BTC but luckily I have putted my refund address and contact their support and resolved the problem fast.

Update: I already received my refund money this morning after around 3 days.
