Title: Tips on how to get into the Bitcoin business?
Post by: aVeryPissedGnome on January 21, 2017, 09:44:57 PM
I know maybe a little bit about bitcoin right now, I haven't bought any yet. All I've done is play some stupid gambling games like pocketdice ( fuck that ).
Now after researching, I decided that I wanted to get serious about bitcoin... I know I should just Google it, but I wanna know more from the people here who are pros at this business... As a newbie, how should I start it? Should I buy BTC and just hold it? Is there any trustful and safe ways to profit it? Is investing in cloudmining like Genesis a good thing? ( probably not ).
Any tips on how to start will be great. Thanks  ::)

Well you get the idea, never gamble unless you know what you're doing and stay away from shady "cloud mining" sites that will get your money within a single poof. Buy bitcoins if you have the spare money to do so, keep it on a safe wallet, do that every time you have money and just literally forget about it. I assure you, you'll do fine. But if you really want to get "serious" on this, understand the basic of trading, apply it to bitcoin by putting in some small amounts and then start from there.

I can tell buying bitcoin is the easiest but most expensive part of earning bitcoin.  If you do buy you can either do day trade or make it as an investment and hold it for a long time.  The holder here are very positive that it will go up in value as time goes by.

Thanks! If I wanted to first invest a small amount at Cloudmining, could you suggest me one?
And about buying bitcoin, I just buy it and hold it? Simple as that?
"Trading" still a very hard term for me, perhaps that is something for when I become more clever about it... Anyway, thanks!

Lol he just told you to stay away from cloudmining and yet you wanted him to suggest a cloudmining company for you?  I agree that buying and trading is a good way to increase your bitcoin holding but as you said that you are new in trading, I think you can spend sometime studying the Bitcoin market, researching about trading and look for some mentor that can help you understand trading faster.

In my opinion gambling and gambling sites are not a way for earn bitcoins and you have to keep away from them if you don't want to lose money. I think you have understood that :). I can suggest you posters for campaigns. This way is the safest way for earning bitcoin if you don't have any special talent which you can sell on the internet. The prices are not bad also.

Well then first off forget about gambling, that is not a business  ;D

After you have left your immature habits, you can start thinking more intelligently about money making options.

There are lots of investment opportunities, but dont give into the easy money scams, they are scams, and ponzi schemes.

I am not going to tell you what to do, it's up to you to make money, but I think investing in projects is the easiest way without having to learn entrepreneur skills.

But then, they are risky, there are lots of scammers, but if you manage to find a good opportunity, the profits will be good too.

So the risk is big, but the reward is big too. It's up to you to make money.

Altcoins, bitcoin projects that accept investors, things like that.

But always be vigilant against scams, there are lots of scams out there.

There are legit things too, but its hard to find, that is why I said ,that if you find one that will make a lot of profits, but most of them will lose money.

So it's big risk / big reward.

You are lucky that you found this forum i am sure you will learn a lot.. Regarding to your question to day we have many ways to earn if you rally want to earn in bitcoin you can find some  of them from faucet but such a small amount and if you are skill person you can apply in xbtfreelancer they are looking for someone to do different task there. or if you are an publisher you can use to monetize like a-ads..
But if you can buy bitcoins for a large amount much better to invest it right now before the price will increased more or wait again for the price to hit 800 level.

No specific tips are required to make a better earning through bitcoin acceptance into business. One of the important factor is just to accept bitcoin into your own ongoing business. Later on making a unique business perspective with bitcoin helps earn good if business were started with small investment and continue to increase the profit.

If you want to get into business fast, you have to have a big capital.
If not, do you have a job? Save a few from your salary and convert it to bitcoin. Do not use your bitcoin to gambling and cloud mining!
You do not have a job? Make your way up to Full Member here in bitcointalk and get a signature campaign.
Once you have a decent capital, study trading. From there on, you'll know what to do.
Good luck!

Its a good decision that you decide to get serious on bitcoin. Gambling is not that bad all you need to do is a good strategy and with a huge capital with a very small bet you can overcome your losses. But if you are really serious do not get into online mining but instead learn more about trading since if your skills is great in that area even with a small capital you can earn 100 times greater than your capital as ROI. But you must start by purchasing bitcoins and allocate some portion for trading and some for holding.

Investing in gambling sites can be a good way of earning Bitcoins. If you were to invest in the gambling site, you can in theory, earn up to 1% of the house edge in the long term. Otherwise, provide your service in the service section if you have any skills.

I think you already made many search about the bitcoin in the google ( you are saying mining is not a profitable thing , which us true ) .
Here I will suggest you to get profit in bitcoin start trading but before to start trading and get great and trick ideas about trading in the google . Because in trading it is easy to get in but profit is only made by those traders who are wisely .
Second thing you need to follow the rules of this forum and join signature campaign according to your rank .
In this way you can make money not only for pocket money but for sufficient for living  like me . Here I am earning about 0.1 bitcoin per month  with trading and campaign advertisement .

Trading is very simple... sign up at a exchange and verify your account. You then buy a small quantity of bitcoins {remember, you do not have

to buy a whole bitcoin } Then wait for the price to rise and sell some. I bought 1 bitcoin last year, when the price was $400+ and I sold it a

year later for $1008. Just remember to make provision for the trading fees... {every exchange has their own fees} Done.  ;D ... Day traders

do this on a daily basis with more coins.  ;)

You are already clear about idea that gambling and cloud mining investment sucks, thats good!
But one thing, holding bitcoin, trading it or investing it don't consider as business.
Business with bitcoin is of two type- operational or financial.
1. Operational= buy/sell goods/service with Bitcoin
2. Financial= deal in Bitcoin such as start exchange, trading platform!

so why not start now? buy some with money that you are willing to invest. it doesn't have to be a couple of thousands of dollars, it can be 10 bucks!

gambling is a game, so you do it to have fun and as entertainment not to make money. if you think of it that way, it is no longer stupid. and the same thing i said above is true here. play with money you are ok with playing.

who are pros at this business... As a newbie, how should I start it? Should I buy BTC and just hold it? Is there any trustful and safe ways to profit it?
i don't know what you mean by "business" bitcoin is a currency that you can use just like any other currency with many additional perks such as decentralization and security and also low fees and fast transactions.

and since this currency is still growing, the price of it is growing too, and makes it also an investment.

safe ways of buying it, is to go to a trusted exchange service and buy there. places like coinbase, bitstamp, kraken, bitfinex

Is investing in cloudmining like Genesis a good thing?
obviously no

it is not too late to buy bitcoin, you can buy from now on. my question is how do you know bitcoin?

first thing first, if you want to get into bitcoin business, then you should bitcoin, of course. there is many ways to get bitcoin, you can buy if you have money or you can earn by playing faucet for free but playing faucet needs patience and takes too long to get much of bitcoin. to get profit in bitcoin, you can try to trading, investment, mining, etc.

my suggestion is maybe you need to learn trading to earn more bitcoin and don't invest into cloud mining because nowadays, many cloud mining is ready to scam you although there is a good and recommended cloud mining but to get ROI, you need times like 8 months until 1 years. so the choice is up to you.

1: learn about bitcoin, do a lot of research and learn properly and completely and understand bitcoin.
2: Learn a good skills, than use that skill and offer your work for business,
3: writing, marketing, Designing and development works are most valuable works nowadays, I saw some marketers getting 15 to 20 $ per week base salary,
so try to learn a valuable skill first..
4: you can do small tasks and earn some small amounts as well, like signing ups, creating accounts, joining forums, writing posts and a Lot, I recommend you to look at Service Board:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

Starting with Bitcoin can be easy, or hard. If you don't have enough money to run off a business, you can start off by earning some through this forum (Signature Campaigns) as you're active, and redirect all your earnings to a wallet created specially for investments. Now the first thing you have to know is: Stay away from cloud mining and pyramidal schemes! They're both scams and sooner or later you'll get ripped off by them. I have been part of one without even knowing it (when you find out it's too good to be true, it actually is), it was a software that "boosted my PC performance" and I could mine with GH/s instead of a few hundreds. After I let my PC on for weeks long, they closed the website and ran away with the money they earned. If you want to invest in something right now, find a good idea that doesn't exist or exists but isn't as popular as it should be. Start with small steps, and you can get your business BIG in no time! Good luck!

my above suggestion is perfect for the OP.

Trading with altcoins requires a lot of knowledge and as the OP said, he has still only a little knowledge about crypto currency, so I wouldn't suggest to start right there. If you want to seriously invest and gain some profit, you should definitely know something about the problematics. Otherwise it is the same like gambling..
I know it can be maybe overhelming and sometimes maybe boring, but try to learn about crypto currency stuff first - about blockchain, transactions, alt coin projects etc. first and then you can start to think about some investments.
Of course, you won't go wrong if you buy some bitcoins for fiat now, but then I woudn't call it business. ;)

I myself learn bitcoin from a friend and by reading a lots of threads here. then if you have considered what way you will do to earn bitcoin like trading, mining, signature campaign, etc, you can read threads about it, google it, or even ask questions here.

That's correct, there's nothing easier than that and there are no better tips for a Bitcoin business than you having to know financial management and know how to implement them on the exchange market so buying them becomes  one thing and the business or growing part is another. To be in the "Bitcoin business" takes some good level of trading skills I would like to conclude.

First thing is congratulations for taking another step. You spent a lot of time in gambling and now you want to win back those you have lost right?
It is not really business that I am looking into but more on investing. It is not as risky as gambling but if you already knew much about the gambling sites then this might help you. You know the legitimate gambling sites? Then just invest in them. Put your money on hold in their possession and you might end up getting richer.

If you wanna get involved in bitcoin "business" as you name it you should at start purchase some bitcoins with USD,EURO or whatever fiat currency you have then start documenting yourself about bitcoin. Read threads on the forum, search articles on the internet, watch daily news about bitcoin and cryptos on coindesk, cointelegraph and other big news sites. I don't recommend getting involved in cloud mining as many of them are scams.

If you want you could search for a quality altcoin ICO or a bitcoin project where to invest your btc in,but be careful with this and do your own dilligence. Also you can start trading, but first you need to study the markets and trading techniques. ;)

There are different ways to make money in crypto, and even earn a living from it, but surely gambling is not the best possibility for such a purpose. I do not see problems if the individual sees this as a form of fun and invests only what he/she can afford to lose. However, when one goes beyond limits, this can cost money.

There is no easy way to get involved. If you want to be someone worth listen to in the game, your best bet is to learn how to code and come up with some remarkable BIP for bitcoin, that's what gives you the highest street creed: improving bitcoin.

If you are not that smart, you can always start a business related to bitcoin, maybe a casino, or some sort of news website, or get in the mining game somehow. There are no other ways that I can think off.

For a goal of long term profits then a simply doing of holding bitcoin is a nice start.

For continous profits while the price fluctuates, then trading is the appropriate method. Safe ways to profit depends on the future of bitcoin as no doubt that bitcoin can lived forever although it's reasonable to think of it now. Also it will depend on your actions if ever there will be a price increase or decrease movement.

What you must do is to give time to learn how bitcoin trading works starting from basics and slowly upgrade it to another level of learnings. This will be a long road but I assured it will definitely worth your time.

Learn and hodl first. Get knowledge and experience, until you can answer the question for yourself and maybe answer to others too.

Most of people are inexperienced and give bad or too basic advice, and some may tell things they know that aren't true because they have some agenda

Gambling when you are starting with bitcoin is a no no the risk in gambling is very high and you can not enjoy your bitcoin if you gamble early for newbies faucet would be a safe start in accumulating small amount not the fastest but the safest way and for starters you can surely buy bitcoin if the value is low save as much as you can  but  I recommend to do it slowly and surely and for me I have both bitcoin and a stable job for further income in hand.

But if you really want to get "serious" on this, understand the basic of trading, apply it to bitcoin by putting in some small amounts and then start from there.

Thanks! If I wanted to first invest a small amount at Cloudmining, could you suggest me one?
And about buying bitcoin, I just buy it and hold it? Simple as that?
"Trading" still a very hard term for me, perhaps that is something for when I become more clever about it... Anyway, thanks!

No, big NO to cloudmining, unless you build your own mining farm(it's need a lot capital, coolest room and free electric bills, but worth if you have one and for your own profit).

Trading is the best way to earn profit, of course you need to learn first to be an expert, but someday people in this world(even poorest people) will aware trading is dignified profession.

Buy and hold bitcoin I think it is a good start for newbie to know bitcoin, you can take advantage of fluctuations to make a profit. If I think that's an investment not suitable for newbie, because it is very difficult to invest in bitcoin for newbie. But if you want to try for the investment was not a problem, but should be careful. Maybe if I would give better suggestions to try trading. I think newbie can try most importantly better with small amounts and continue to learn. If you diligently do definitely will be succeed.

Thanks  ::)

I suggest you to learn trading, yes it smally depends on luck but if you will have good skills in trading, will be good in analyze of statistics or etc than try trading, also read many books about trading strategies, good trader is good reader.
If you want, you can buy and hold bitcoins but to my mind now it's not good time for that.
If you are looking for legit cloudmining, you can try hashnest but I don't suggest you because ROI is very small and it don't worths, it's waste of time. Better to get profit yourself with your skills.

I was the same way when I first started, and quite frankly, I haven't changed much. I'm still looking to get "serious" with bitcoin. However, my goal is to invest no money out of pocket and earn everything myself. To

start, just learn your way around the forums. Ask questions and learn. From there I would join a signature campaign, this way you can earn a little bitcoin on your own without investing. After you have some bitcoin

that you are willing to spare, study trading. Learn the patterns and mess around with different strategies and websites. Eventually, you will be able to trade and grow your bitcoin wallet. From there you can choose what

to do with your earnings. Gamble, get into mining, investing. Good luck :D

Holding bitcoin itself is already a good business to start, but to really earn I will suggest you to learn trading, trading earning is unlimited, and don't invest in cloud mining, cloud mining is scammed, eventhough sometimes it sound so good but in reality the owner will run away with your money, and of course you need to stay away from gambling, or if you want to gambling for fun, spare some money for it, don't used all of your money to gamble

Well i think you can try trading bitcoins to fiat money, it is more low risk than trading altcoins, if you are wrong prediction  you can hold the bitcoins, unfortunately you must use much capital for trading bitcoin to fiat, i hope it is not problem for you,  but if you want use low capital you can try trading altcoins of course with more high risk for losing money.

It is like you were at the sea. You have two choices.
Stay by the shore and watch as your money slowly grows, you may enjoy watching it but it will become so boring.
Or go surf in the sea as you play with the tides, more benefits but also more dangerous.

Bitcoin's price is high today and I would not recommend you to buy it, only in the case if 1000$ per 1 BTC is not so big money to you, maybe in your country it is exactly like that. The idea of making money through some campaign seems me the most unrisky. You will grow here together with the price of bitcoin. But for that case you have to have a lot of tention, cause in the most beginning your earnings will be almost nothing and to start to make some really good mney you will have to reach the rank of hero member as minimum. I wish you lot of luck in any kind of decidion that you will make  :)

Just avoid gambling.
Avoid investing in cloud mining farm, even Genesis. You would have to wait atleast for six months to recover your invested money.
Better buy at least 0.1 btc from localbitcoins and start trading by investing in a good altcoin. But remember, altcoin market is highly volatile.
If you want to just buy and hold yur bitcoins, then you could buy 1 BTC and just hold as bitcoin price is rapidly increasing today.

To get into the bitcoin business you should have bitcoin first so you can start doing any kind of business that is available online. If you want to avoid getting a lot of money loss then stay away in the gambling sites unless you are doing an investment with their bank roll which is good. You can also do trading where you just use your bitcoin as a capital and do buy low sell high principle and you could easily make profit with that but be very careful in trusting coins because there is a lot coins out there that are scam.

Google is our friend, but you need to avoid all cloud mining businesses since they are all scams, it is that simple and there are not many safe ways to profit, probably the only one that is safe is by participating in signature campaigns.

It all depends on what you have available to you. This is essentially an exercise in problem-solving.

Cloudmining is typically pretty garbage overall. I wouldn't recommend a service like that, ever really. Your contract loses a lot of value over time and even if you do happen to make money, chances are the people who sold it to you made more. If they don't mine enough to earn your contract back, they still win.

Holding BTC is an ok strategy but I would recommend playing the market, but you should have experience trading at least altcoins before trying to do something like that.

Always be on the lookout for scams. There are a lot of them, so never trust anything you read at face value.

True. If you are going to establish a business that is related to bitcoin you will meed to jave an experoence in regard to it. And i do not suggest gambling because it is to risky to gamble your bitcoin it isbetter to learn on how to trade. Yes trading also have risks but it is less the risk if you will focus and workhard. Then start on a signature campaign so you can have a source of income that you can used as a capital to your business together on your tradings.

What are lets say some top 3 links to get to learning more about bitcoin in general?

Holding Bitcoin is the most important part of being in Bitcoin.  If you have it, and you actually own it instead of storing it in an online wallet, you can expect your earnings to go up dramatically in a few years as Bitcoin's long term price continues to increase.

No other advice you get will be definitive, except to stay out of investments unless you have seriously legitimate reasons for believing that they are trustworthy.  Genesis Mining is very shady, even though they're not a straight-up scam.

When would you think they buy Bitcoin?  When it is at $2000?  We never knew what will happen next in the market.  In just one good news Bitcoin price have the possibility to go up in price rapidly or vice versa during bad press.  But if you observe the market, Bitcoin is holding strong, it maybe late if he realized that he should have bought it today than waiting for it to drop at $1000.

It is a good way to earn Bitcoin but OP must need to know how to increase his traffic.  Knowing how to write a good article is not enough to make your site to have frequent visitor.  Blogging have deeper need than that.

Mining is not shady if you oen your equipment for mining, that is. However, things will start going down the drain if you invest on a cloud mining site. Also, why risk it on a site that only pays you a fraction of what you invested compared to just buying it and let it collect dollars over time?

I'm in the same boat. I've been watching for awhile but I have not bought any bitcoin yet. I am very frugal with my investments. I think that you are doing the right thing by trying to become as knowledgeable as possible. I don't think that I would try gambling with your own money though, just faucet money.

Good idea but it is not easy as pie to turn your blog site to become money making site..
You should know first SEO how to gain organic traffic and use plugins or tools that everytime you post you can make your own powerful build backlinks.
But if you do it right it can be your passive income.. use expired article hunter this is a common tools these days to get article and post easily without wasting time for making new post..
And monetizing like adfly or any advertising company you can add it as banners don't join in popup ads it can rank down your site and decrease your revenue.

I think I figured out something. It seems that what many of these projects need, more than investors, is good-clean-old-fashioned work. So, I've been looking into projects I believe are the most genuine which have the greatest potential for success and I have been soliciting for work. Afterall, it's the communities behind these projects which give their networks value and the dollars come later, not first, right?

Find a wallet that are base on your own country, you can definitely buy and sell bitcoins there I don't usually trust other options that are not legit or don't have any consent by my friends or the bitcoin community, in regards to the legibility of the site you can see some comments about it.

Before you get into any business even if it is bitcoin or not, you should think about your environment first, what are the things that people need around you? Is it food or necessary things? Then you should focus on that and you will just add bitcoin to your payment methods then you can easily get into bitcoin business.

When coming to Bitcoin world, I usually recommend 3 things to people!
1. Investment in Bitcoin, because its no longer risky to invest in Bitcoin if you could hold for considerable period.
2. Income in Bitcoin, along with investment, start growing Bitcoins by earning them. Bitcointalk also provide certain good opportunities to earn.
3. Investment of Bitcoin, this is last stage and one should only go for it after being in Bitcoin world for considerable period. Best mean to invest Bitcoin is in altcoins as volatility in alts are more dynamic than bitcoin.

Buying bitcoins from individuals at a lower price and selling them to people who need at a higher price is one way to start. I for one but it at the dollar exchange and since my home currency is very poor against the US dollar i make about 40 cent on each dollar of bitcoins i sell.

It's would be nice if you can find some individuals whose selling their bitcoin in a lower price since they can easily convert it into fiat money whenever they need it. But since you were able to find someone whose selling those in a lesser price and earning a 140% on it then good for you but its hard to recommend it to someone.
The best way is buying bitcoin where it's price is low and sell when price is high but this process needs patience since not all the time price is inconsistent. Just remember that good things come to those who wait.

You dont have to be that much desperate about bitcoins. Bitcoin is big industry and is all the time profitable. The well k ow formula for beginners is to store their money in the form of bitcoin. Being popular lots of people invest in bitcoin which leads to increased bitcoin value. This leads your bitcoins to gain x amount of percentage in terms of profit. So just save bitcoins for now. After sometime you can learn more about exchanges to gain huge profits. So just learn and earn.

I think saving bitcoins is not a business you are making profit if you save it for a long time but its not a business..
i think if you really want to start a business you should a have to build a group to manage a business making a business not building only for one developer just like a gambling casino..
unless if you are just an affiliate marketer that you are just promoting a service or product to earn to your business. is one of the good way to earn bitcoins these days due to many bitcoin users this year unlike before..

I'm very skeptical for gambling in the beginning, had tried but lost. Better not to play it if you don't know how to make profit.
Buy bitcoin is a good way to earn more money as the value keep increasing right now, buy and save will be great.
If you want to doubled your bitcoin, there are some options to invest it such as in gambling site as bankroll or learn how to trade bitcoin-altcoins if you don't trust any site.

Newbie asking again how to make millions with bitcoin. There is no magic way to do that, businesses with bitcoin are not so much different then fiat business, in both you have to have ideas, plan, strategy, investments, above all you need to know what are you doing, if not you are doomed to fail. Bitcoin was a dream in beginning for early adopters, now its harder to do something with bitcoin, competition is much stronger.
