Title: Altcoins - will they divert money inflows from bitcoin? Post by: zby on April 15, 2013, 04:06:12 PM I can see two results from mainstream media noticing altcoins (http://www.technologyreview.com/news/513661/bitcoin-isnt-the-only-cryptocurrency-in-town/) - first they will divert money from bitcoin (but probably not much - all of their markets are very thin) - but they'll also add an additional uncertainty for investors (should I really buy bitcoins - maybe litecoins would be better?). Both negative for bitcoin price.
