That equates to 9,000/365 = $24.66 per day. Luckily, the blockchain is now able to handle all them transactions. It is able to ain't it? Surely, them behind-close-doors meetings were producing such solutions, attendees only taking breaks to advance a rumor or two as fodder for respective trade rags, eh?

This thing would really be good to us on all bitcoin users out there if this thing will surely happen but  $25/day movement is really amazing and i dont think this would be possible in upcoming years because such movement will make bitcoins price to the top even more and thats possible if the full adoption have been reached.

I would happy if bitcoin's price would add at least 1$ per day, but for sure. And those 25$ daily seems as some fairy tale. I don't know where from such information. It sounds too optimistic and not real to me. Can you tell me the exactly day from which the price will start to add 25$ per day? I wish to see that moment.

So when do we start counting the daily increase in price? From today or the next Monday? This sounds very familiar to the Wall Street brokers who predicted Bitcoin would skyrocket to $5000 like 2 years ago lol.

Not to say that it won't eventually reach $10,000 at some point but I can't see it happening anytime soon. I do believe by the end of 2017 it will be above $1,000 and stable at a minimum. Only time will tell if it will go above this point. Bitcoin has proven that it's worth can increase continuously over time but it isn't immune to support and resistance levels.

The calculated info was presented in the OP, and the price increase starts today, proof via the daily increase in the exchange rate. Keep an eye on it.

And if that new prophecy won't fulfill itself by 2018, then Tim Draper will simply say that it might take yet another year to come true?
Let's face it - he assumed after that ATH pump in 2013 that bitcoin will double its value and repeat that pump cycle again every year.

I think it has the possibility of going even higher than $10.000. Halving happened last year, the aftermath will be seen this one. Do you know what happened the last time a halving took place? The price went up 100 times. With the price constantly rising people will want to buy BTC too. I am waiting until next year after NYE.

I don't see it happening, even with segwit on, that's not the growth rate of bitcoin by any means, not even last year with the halving effect. 2000-2500$ per coin is a nice goal for this year if you ask me.

The blockchain is able to handle those transaction but the traders and the community is not ready to see an increase of 9k within one year, don't know but it's just too much and never happened this before.

My opinion is that for this decade (until 2020) the bitcoin price can not be at xx,xxx but If that happens who wouldn't be happy? -only those who haven't invested before.

My bad! I miscalculated, falsely assuming that a tenfold increase in the exchange rate equates to a tenfold increase in the amount of blockchain transactions. Thanks for the proof that such isn't the case.

$24.66 per day!! I don't think so. It's such a high amount for only one day.
Even if bitcoin increase 24.66$ per day. You will see that one or 2 or maybe three successive days not every day. because there is the time of falling and for increasing.
So I think this prediction is wrong. By the way, 10 000 $ in three years it seems a very high amount of dollars compared by 1 btc. Maybe 4-5k $. I  think 10k$ is an extraordinary price. But i hope that you are right.

I doubt very much that we will see bitcoin at $10,000 this year and prob not within the next 3.  i do think it will be at $2000 by the end of Jan 2018 tho.  I think $10000 will be around the next halving. :)

The possibility of a price range around $2000 at the end of 2017 is a real possibility but the said rate of $10000 is a very big dream that wont be fulfilled any time soon. Bitcoin has to first settle the fundamental issues it has with the transaction delays it is having and if the core team could settle the issues the better and then you could see some record prices.

At least if the price keeps the steady way in over $1000 and the people of the Chinese bank aren't releasing the fuckin fake ban announcement for bitcoin.

Well, great news about bitcoin which the problem about transaction could be solved, is it because blockchain has been upgraded? I know that they had voted about it but have not read about the implementation.
According to the article, looks like the pump come from China regulations again and US investors. I'm concerned about investors will cash out what they had put in the first place, then we will get another significant dump.
Overall, hopefully we won't facing another crash in this year and could reach ATH in February

There are a lot of holders who would be ecstatic if this does happen. But it does appear to be wishful thinking. Draper sure is holding a lot of bitcoins and it makes sense for him to 'talk the price up'.

For a price of $10k i really don't think, it will happen very soon but if it's happen i won't refuse it :p... I would prefer to see it going slowly to 1500-2000$ and keep that price instead to see it at $10k and crashing the  next day to 400$ . As for the man i guess if you ask him every year, every year he will tell you we may need another year. With a good dose of weed you can even say $20000.
But first we are going to see again the 1000$ mark in some days i hope.

We are going to pump up again. Its been 2 days when i saw that the price is increasing. This is a good sign that we are going up again. Or maybe its just a bull trap. I hope not. Im sure PBOC will be alarmed again and will spread FUDs. So the price will fall again.

But the spot price just went up about $25 today - so far. Not sure if it will hold or settle back down. I was kinda surprised when I looked and had to do a double-take. ;)

It's actually about 0.65% every 3 days. 1% would get you closer to $3000.

$976 * (1 + 0.01)^(335/3) = $2964.85

$976 * (1 + 0.00645)^(335/3) = $2000.99

Another way to look at it is approximately 0.215% per day:

$976 * (1 + 0.00215)³³⁵ = $2004.08

Bitcoin was designed to be deflationary currency, so in theory we should see some kind of gradual growth.
But so far bitcoin's price was shaped by series of a huge pumps and dumps rather than stable&mild upward trend.
I don't see why bitcoin's nature would suddenly change now to accumulate 1% progressive increase of price.

I think $1000 will come very soon, price increase slow but sure. $10k is looking hard but nothing is impossible, we'll just wait and see then to be happy if that happen.

In the last few hours the price rised more than 10$, it's growing fast right now, why is this happening?
And looks it will continue growing yet, maybe until tomorrow in a crescent chart, very near to 1000$ now, but if it continues this way I don't think the price will be stable and there is a medium risk to have bitcoin dropping below 1000$ again...

indeed until now i see the price in poloniex, there was an increase and now reach $971 although there is down until $96x but i hope that the price will reach at least $10xx first so after that the time for altcoin is comes so we can make more profit by selling bitcoin and altcoin together.

Assuming I can still times numbers more betterer then my riting skills or doing percentage thingies, 0.2994 X 3 = 0.8982, of which I did round up to 1%.

Often we might experience a price drop and rise of $25. I don't think of making a gradual increase of $25 for a long time. If so the value goes high than the previous ath in a very short time period. Now it is a good time to profit.

You are correct that it needs to increase by a flat amount of $2.994 per day, and if you had said that I wouldn't have corrected you.

You are also correct that it needs to increase by a flat amount of $8.982 every 3 days, and if you had said that I wouldn't have corrected you.

However, what you said was that it needed "a 1% rise on average every three days", and that's where you made the mistake.

Certainly, $8.982 is approximately 1% (pretty close to 0.92%) of the CURRENT $976, but it is less than half a percent of $1952 which you'll be calculating 1% of about a week before we reach $2000.

If the exchange rate rose by 1% ($9.76) in the next 3 days then the new rate would be $985.76.
A 1% increase on that over the next 3 days would be an increase of $9.8576 (bringing the new rate 6 days from now to $995.6176).
Another 1% increase on that over the next 3 days would be an increase of nearly $9.9562 (bringing the new rate 9 days from now to more then $1000).
Now (9 days from now) 1% is no longer $9.76, it's more than $10.
That increase keeps getting bigger and bigger since the amount that you are taking 1% of is getting bigger.  By the end of 335 days, the rate has grown to nearly $3000.

With a 1% increase every 3 days you'd get to $2000 in about 217 days.  After that, your 1% increase will be more than $20 every 3 days.

If you just go with a flat amount of $8.982 every 3 days, then the percent increase gets smaller as the exchange rate increases (since the numerator of your division isn't changing, but the denominator is growing).

Only if the USA says that from tomorrow Bitcoin becomes the official currency of the country. In order for there to be a high of this size, much adoption is necessary, which will not happen for no reason. Doubling the value this year is already being very optimistic, imagine x10.

the 10000 USD price for bitcoin is one of the oldest predictions and it started in 2013 if i remember it correctly! and even back then i was skeptical that this is not going to happen in a short time.
and also since OP mentions it, i disagree with relating price of bitcoin with scaleability of bitcoin. so far, during all these years people have been investing in bitcoin rather than using it as a currency and an investor doesn't care much about scaleability. although we need bigger blocks to move forward in adoption but not price.

At first when I saw the link I thought it would be just another link, but when I read the link and it's really nice to see the words like million dollar Bitcoin investor, now coming to his logic don't really know if that is really feasible but I would like to see it happening, this will make us all super rich. Though I think the global circumstances can send Bitcoin price up, like the trump policies let's hope for the best. I had a gut feeling that 2017 could be the year, and now let's hope it becomes a reality.

We all so wish it increases by that margin on a daily basis but realistically and historically looking at the first month of the year it's been a forward and backward dance and so I don't really feel it will soar up by $25 daily but it can of course rise by that margin some days.

Bitcoin can be very volatile my friend. We have seen massive increases and decline in price, within a few hours. The smallest thing, sends the traders into a panic frenzy and then the bots kick in and everything goes to shit around here. A Chinese government official can only fart in his office, and it starts a ripple affect and eventually ends in a shit storm.

I do not think a increase like this will happen over a long period, it will happen in several days after a major announcement. ^smile^  

Nothing is guaranteed about the future especially when it comes to bitcoin. Surely, bitcoin will make its way to the top and reach high price in this year but do you think that bitcoin increasing $25 per day is some kind of fairy tale? I mean its price would go sky high but it won't have a steady rise like that, it will fluctuating dramatically before reaching its goal.

Predictions are stupid as we all know, but we love them, especially if someone tells us some insane number, we want to believe. But such a high rise would go with many drop as people would try to sell their Bitcoins to make a profit.
If you want to see a dramatic change in price, then you should hope for a dramatic change in the Bitcoin economy or the world and i do not see the former, so only the latter seems possible and this would mean Bitcoin is a safe haven not a revolutionary currency.

This is really absurd! Bitcoin is a product of 'perfect competition'. Its price increase or decrease with general trend followed by its users. Neither a single seller nor the single buyer can influence its price. So it is nearly joke to predict its future atleast without any conclusive factor!

So as per the calculation of this prediction you mean to say is per day increase in price of bitcoin $25 will achieve the target of 10k price but if their is any bad news then it can go reverse also, so this are all guessing equations which cannot be said in reality but what lies in future is never been able to imagine.

Theoretically, it is possible. Right now, only around 1 million people are using BTC. Imagine what will happen if 25 million individuals invest $10,000 each in Bitcoin. That will mean a market cap of $250 billion, and an exchange rate of around $15,000 per coin.

Yes theoretically everything could happen. You should play the lottery, since theoretically you could win. Bitcoin took 8 years to go from 0 to 1 million, so the next 24 million (2 million per month) should be a piece of cake. And who would not have $10,000 each to spare just to invest in Bitcoin. It's too optimistic. Possible for it to change dramatically in a day when something happens in China but a sustained climb like that everyday seem unlikely. My concern if that should happen is that might reduce the number of people that can actually buy bitcoins.

A $25 per day increase in bitcoin price is too much but I can't say that it is impossible if we will consider the current value of bitcoin and how it increased this past few weeks! If ever that will happen, that will be beneficial for us and it is much better to save bitcoin now before that $25 daily increase will happen ;)

Well, so far we are pumping pretty good. Now we only need to keep this rate of growth for another 330 days and we are set. With that being said, I doubt we will see $10,000 this or next year, but never say never, mindblowing new economy like bitcoin grows exponentially, our brains are not wired to fathom how much this thing can fucking grow.

Its still depends in demand and supply there are no assurance about $15 or $25 you can seen the price movement and spikes running this year.. or this month that we are just seeing small or slow movement of the price..
And the price of bitcoin are always depending in demand and supply.. like other analysis by traders the movement will be just the same as last year that i think $25 per day are impossible to happen..

Well, it is really unbelievable think, that bitcoin will be increase $25 per day. If you tell bitcoin will be increased $25 per month than may be i believe you, but as you said it will not be true. Also 3 years not a long period, so let see what will be happened in future with bitcoin.

$10,000 would be huge, I'd love to see it & I believe we will but not this year. I think it'll take at least another 3 years to see such a massive price.

Exponential progression means we should see 5 figures during the next 5 years, and up to 6 figures during the next 10 to 20 years. That would mean the prophecy is real: Those chosen ones holding at least 21 BTC (part of the 1 million club) should (naturally) be millionaires eventually. 21 years holding 21 BTC to get rich seems like a good deal, even tho I would like to retire faster, thats why I always look for good altcoin picks.

That happening in my opinion might be to good to be true, but that's good if that would happen this year before the year ends or next year. For that to happen, we need some good news that will drive many more users to start using bitcoin as a payment or for whatever purpose to drive the price up to 10000$ but if that will not happen, I guess $24.66 per day might be just a dream especially when a dump occur.

I'm surprised that this came true. But unfortunately the rise +25$ Daily was going only two days and the price again seems frozen on the point of 1020$ for a week already. Honestly this price satisfied me totally.

It would be nice if we received an explanation of why bitcoin will make such great leaps in price, if there are not any, then that is just wishing the price rises at that rate, there is nothing wrong with wishing it but that does not mean it is going to happen.

Is it a joke! Its not even possible or near to possible. If I know it will increase 25$ every day I will invest every single penny, and wait to get the highest amount of profit. Everyone will do the same, and its totally impossible. As still now its value increase pace is slow but progressing thats the good news. But don't dream that much higher  ???

This could be the case, too bad we have the dirty chinese government playing tricks and crashing the price every now and then to buy back cheaper. It's like they are scared of gold parity or something. But bitcoin keeps recovering faster every time. Yes, just like in the real world business, demand and supply of a commodity or services will determine the increase in price. I think Mundang was right because bitcoin is getting more exposure everyday and that's what we see in the life's of people who are planning to invest their retirement into bitcoin.

$25 increase per day is not at all gonna happen. Even before etf the majority believed that it gets approved, but the final outcome was opposite of users expectation. It shows how uncertain is the prediction and the reality. So price increases with time but not as that quoted by Op.

I am positive this is a good year for bitcoin and the price may get very high. If it reaches that high, well and good. If not, it is still okay and let's wait for him to say "it may still need another more year"

Bitcoin I think is not yet ready to increase 25$ each day this year since it really is a very volatile coin that has ups and down. At the end of this year, I dont think that the price of bitcoin wouldnt sum up with the sum of adding 25$ each day this year. Maybe it might be higher than that or lower but I think it wouldn't reach the price you are expecting it to be OP.
