Hi guys, since Bitcoin is Bullish now, may I know what pairs do you trade with Bitcoin? What can you recommend with me.. Is it profitable to trade Bitcoin with USDT or I'll stick trading Bitcoin with Altcoins only. By the way if you trade only using Altcoin what is the best pair?

Bitcoin to USD is better form of trading than altcoins. Altcoins were highly volatile than bitcoin for which we can't make a perfect calculation similar to bitcoin. So with a small variation happening often we can make at least a small profit periodically.

BTC/USD pairs have the gratest liquidity but perhaps that might not be what you're looking for as a cryptocurrency trader. Upcoming altcoin markets with no established liquidity go through greater ups and downs, but are also prone to manipulation and hence greater volatility.

USDT is still an altcoin, but as long as it can keep its price the same as USD and have the same high volume with packed orderbook it is a good option. and now that bitcoin is rising it becomes a better option too.

but from altcoins i have my eye on litecoin. it is getting very hot these days specially with segwit being activated on it.

Thank you for the replies. I am planning to stick with BTC- USDT for my day trading.  And for altcoin am going for the stable ones. ETH, XMR, LTC, and ZEC. The bigger the volume value, the bigger the earnings.

No altcoin trading will beat the standards of BTC-USD trading nor will be more profitable than that. But I prefer BTC-ETH mainly coz the stable rate of USD rates right now.

In my opinion the best pair for the trading is only BTC/altcoin and after it altcoin/altcoin .
Here everyone k owe that it is a common thing for every country's people to use doller but in actual it takes much transaction charge as an tax  .m, So here most of the person  favoured the bitcoin bitcoin to altcoin trading . But some exchanges are also providing altcoin to altcoin trading like cryptopia .
So to going for USD for direct trading with altcoin may result in small more charge .

Some of these may actually yield good results. I would say BTC, LTC and XMR are good to trade, but I would probably avoid ETH and ZEC. Higher trading volume and greater market liquidity, in fact, make these cryptocurrencies better choices than many others.

However, I think even these coins are subject to instability. Many investors may question aspects such as the way ZEC was launched in the market, and the fact that a large percentage of mined coins goes to developers. Others may question the fact that Ethereum is a project with a number of problems related to scalability.

Depend on your target, if you're looking for the daily trade and actually USDT - BTC is best for you and the second is ETH - BTC. both are having a lot of the trading volume every day.
If you're looking for the long-term trade it seems like all of them are better.

if youre write fiat money is good USD not USDT, USDT equal tether coin is very dificult can exchange to fiat money
if pair USD you can withdraw to youre bank account via transwer wire

if you want high profit pair bitcoin/altcoin is the best but high return high profit high risk

Buy bitcoin with whatever fiat currency you happen to have on you.  That's the best advice I or anyone else could give you.  The more you trade, the more you go broke, and it doesn't matter what pair of altcoins and currencies you use.  I'd say 99.9% of people on this forum are degenerate gamblers who don't know what they're doing when trading.  And if you have to start up a topic to ask what pairs to trade, you're in that percentage.  And I'd say the traders who really know how to trade...they don't post here.

only start trading if you are good at it and have some experience and if not, just buy bitcoin with fiat and keep holding it as your long term investment.

if you have what it takes to be a trader, then trading bitcoin/fiat is a better choice since it is a more reliable market, it is growing big, and it has less manipulation than altcoins and also since it is a rising market your chances of becoming a bagholder are zero.

but if you want more profit in short term and accept the higher risks of altcoins then enter that market. i personally prefer litecoin at the moment and if eth goes to a nice bottom i will start buying.

Yes, traders of the crypto currency prefers  bitcoin to altcoin trading and that is most profitable. Bitcoin to USD is not much profitable in short term and also it is usually done for the people who needs to convert their bitcoins info USD or Cash. I also do altcoin trading part time and earn reasonable profit monthly.

In my opinion Bitcoin to USD in much impactful for trading because trading is a way through which are getting bitcoin easily , So to get bitcoin easily USD is best , because USD is much popular currency then bitcoin and other fiat .
So here I will prefer for BTC-USD .
But still sometime some people who involved in the bitcoin may prefer for trading without USD , because the transaction charge may be a big matter .
I can give a example suppose I want buy bitcoin from doller but when I will go to make buy bitcoin by USD then at the first step I will got the problem to get USD but from the last some years somewhat btc-usd became much better due to payeer Nettler etc .
All over I will prefer to remain virtual.to virtual trading  .

if you are looking for a steady profit go for BTC-USD pair-it is more or less stable market,huge liquidity

Trading to USD is like keeping the value of my bitcoin but to other altcoins is like investing. some of the altcoin react to bitcoin price increase inversely. Converting to USD is the safest risk when the price of bitcoin is high

I mostly trade only BTC-USDT pair whenever there is price swing and keep my balance in bitcoin. And i think this is better than trying to hedge with altcoins and losing more when bitcoin price get dumped and recover quickly. IF price recover quickly than it can't move altcoin market so you will actually loss more.

I prefer to trade my btc to altcoin pair since it is much profitable yet risky. Since the difference of btc-usd pairs are quite close like only 1 usd of difference, it's not worth it trade with it since it charges tax too. However, it's great for high money trader to trade with usd-btc pairs. Yet, it's quite diffcult to make it because votality can occured in btc rapidly which may cost huge traders to lose alot of money.

I think it's less about default trading pairs when it comes to making profits because you never know where the force is actively trading (the high volume trading pairs) so one can earn profits in any active pairs. When I started trading, I used to trade only in BTC/USD but at the same time I was losing opportunities to earn profits in other pairs and since then I do monitor many pairs and trade in some of them in which I see opportunity. It also helps in preventing loss due to pump and dump schemes as we get some experience of chart movements.

I believe trade against Altcoins is better, you can double your BTC in a day or two trading Altcoins but this would be extremely difficult to do with USDT trade. Just look at the pumped in Pasacalcoin price recently that is how good it can get with Altcoins but the risk is also high because they go down the rate at which they went up

ETH and BTC price are indirectly proportional to each other so whenever there is dump in bitcoin price, there will be good pump in ETH. So in case of large dump or pump its better to trade on BTC-ETH pair so that you can limit your losses.

I believe in litecoin when their prices are falling at a cheap price you can buy it and holding the bag for them, I think you need to hold your litecoin bag in one month to the next to see their price increase

It's all about the risks you're willing to take, usually at a lower risk you earn less. Because of the volume the altcoins are more affected by the manipulation than the bitcoin, in addition to the fact that the value of the altcoins is tied to the value of the BTC-USD. The ideal is to always manage the risks and work with the pair that you think is best at the moment.

I would go for both Options since there are times on which each of them has the time on good to trade. BTC-USD would be good and profitable specially on scalping and swinging when its price moves to fast in a matter of days or weeks only.Trading on altcoin is good if you do know which coin has potential.Theres a lot of choices.

since USDT is the same as USD price, i say the best option from these group is the first option of trading USDT because trading bitcoin is your best option always.

after that i say all the altcoins can be viable options with a good profit potential as long as you can analyze them and find out if it is a good entrance price or not.

for instance from your list i have my eyes on litecoin and think it will soon start a very big rally like the one we had around its halving and it will be mostly because of the SegWit activation.

Do you remember 6 months ago, what was the price? someone just by simply holding the coins in wallet until now would have doubled their money up to $200m, when bitcoin is presenting such rare opportunities buy when price drops below $900 which definitely will happen whether we like it or not and wait half a year to double your money. I'm talking about huge investments not like alts that when you buy $500 only by tricks and heavy manipulation you could double that amount lol.
And my modest opinion would be BTC-USDT.

Like You, I prefer trading BTC—Altcoins Markets because unlike BTC-USD trading, Good altcoins can rake in good profits for you in no time. But It's much more risky.




I agree with you. Trading Bitcoin is much more reliable until Bitcoin's Bullishness starts like the one in early January where we saw the price drop more than —$200.

Bitcoin to USD -

Both of them is great, but if you got more money, trading btc and usd is better than btc to alt coins, but trading alt coin got more risk than usd because alt coin price is more unpredictable so if you want to earn from alt coin you need to have a lot of experience in trading

all option in the list is good and fine to trade but for me, i only want to trade with cheap coins and maybe its under 10k or max in 50k for the price because all coins in the list is up to 100k satoshi and i think if we only small budget then we can not make big profit. but if we trade with cheap coins, then our chance is big to make profit when the coins is getting a pump although we don't know when the pump is coming but so far, i think its worth for me.

In my personal experience trading bitcoin to USD is better the bitcoin to altcoin, then you will only have to worry about the price of the bitcoin because the USD is always stable unlike altcoins that the you don’t have a fixed rate and they are always changing and require you to keep an eye on the market to know how they change.

According to me it's best to trade Altcoins with the Help of Bitcoin because Altcoins Have a More Chances of Increasing But the Bitcoin is not Much Increase in a Day But a Altcoin can Give to Much Profit Even you can Double your Money By Just Investing in a Altcoin But its important to have knowledge in Trading then you can Make Some Profit......

I think that you'll find bullish this year, so you can accept my opinion or not it all come back to you that determines a decision to buy and hold the bag, it's just that I give a little advice about litecoin and their future

BTC-USDT gives you a stable income but it takes long time to get (for short-term trader this isn't a good way). BTC to Altcoins gives you lot of coins to trade (ETH, XMR, New coins), but we have known altcoin's price is bubbling and you can't predict it but if you're lucky you can get huge profit from it yet it gives you huge risk too (for those dump coins).

I prefer altcoin for used to arbitrage, but it's need a lot effort and speed. ETH, LTC, XMR is my favorite altcoin.
Trade to USD is profitable too, also for me btc/usd is easier to take analyze than altcoin, honestly I don't have idea to trade altcoin apart arbitrage and join to the community(if there are) to see what the trends.

for me the best option is BTC-USDT since it is the same as trading bitcoin and USD since it has the same price, and it is a more predictable market at least that is what i feel like.

but other pairs should also be used. for example litecoin and monero from your list are two excellent altcoins for trading with great future and a nice profit potential.

USDT is backed 1:1 so a single USDT will always be equally to 1 USD. Since it is more stable trading this pair has a lot of potential

to be profitable especially when you're a beginner. I don't always trade USDT. I'm more into ETH and XMR because it has a high

chance of growing compared to USDT that is tied with USD. And you can always earn a huge amount in other altcoins depending

on your capital.

but the best trade for me altcoin is very cheap price, pair use bitcoin

don't try to restrict yourself like this and definitely don't try too hard for finding a relationship between bitcoin price and altcoins. you will be surprised how many times you are going to be wrong.
you can see that for example ethereum has been staying up with all the manipulations, then you see another altcoin that were supposed to go up is going down.

in short, it is best if you stick to bitcoin these times that you can't speculate then come back when things settled down. for example when price of an altcoin was dumped hard you can enter at the bottom and enjoy the rise.

I have always traded in altcoins, but I've always in the end lost Bitcoin when doing this. Altcoin market is too unpredictable. Now that I've bought a good amount of Bitcoin, an amount that I'm pretty comfortable with I figure why risk anymore, right?!

I'll still trade a little bit in altcoins just because yea sure when you happen to pick the right coin you can easily get a nice profit. But I'm gonna move a little new money into USD on an exchange and just start trading Bitcoin/USD. With the goal being making USD rather than making Bitcoin. Making BTC is high risk, high reward. And making USD is low reward, BUT its essentially zero risk. No matter where I buy in I know I will be able to sell for higher, cuz it's BTC we are talking about, not some random altcoin against BTC. Should be fun just to trade with basically zero risk. Just try to maximize profits even though the profits won't be that big. Will be a lot less nerve wracking than trading alts.
