Nobody in the world knows who is behind the name Satoshi Nakamoto. And I doubt that he would look this thread to answer on question of ordinary users. but in the case if I would have an opportunity to ask him I would ask - If he worked for the government when created bitcoin and blockchain?

Answer to your question is,  Satoshi Nakamoto the inventor of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology did not work for any government.

Your assumtion is wrong.  Satoshi Nakamoto never promissed any extra ordinary proof.
Extra ordinary claim does require extraordinary proof but it requires genuine proof with concrete evidence.
But Satoshi will come out of the shadiow soon.

My first question is :

Are you really Craig Wright? Since all the news and events most likely points to Craig, there is a big possibility that he is, but we need a confirmation :)

Second question since it is debated already for a long time : What will you do with your BTC you mined? Some suggest that you destroyed it. Its closed to a billion dollar already at current price.

But Satoshi will come out of the shadiow soon.

Who is Satoshi? Well, it ain't you.

Having read many of Satoshi's posts, the use of grammar; and the effortless and causal use / command of the Queen's English is a style that is difficult to replicate. You can have the highest levels of education, but unless you were brought up immersed in the English language you would slip up all too often.

But three times in one post?

First,  I am not Craig Wright. Craig is one of the good drama artist. You all know that Bitcoin Drama is a real life drama in real time in the real world stage. The Stage is open for any one to act as they wish. You are also acting here. Second, 19700 Blocks = 985000 BTC. Satoshi will tell the mystery soon. Be patience to hear about those BTC. First you need to know who is Shatoshi Nakamoto ?

Do you understand how compartmentalization works?

In order to have a whole made up of more than a single part, you have to have multiple pieces.

The original Satoshi was merely playing his part in perpetuating an idea.

There is only 1 candidate for Satoshi. and many wannabe's.

I feel no need too many questions about it, because from the beginning, Satoshi was deliberately not taking the primary identity. If from beginning Satoshi appear to public. Bitcoin will not be decentralized, because it will be concentrated in groups such as google & apple.

I still think that Satoshi just a manequin. This is precisely what makes bitcoin became popular in the world. All who answer our question in this forum is the embodiment of Satoshi, because bitcoin be great because of influence of community and market.

I guess it's alright to dream and pretend to be something you're not.

And even better to be happy.

And if you have to buy that happiness...it's kinda sad, but so be it.

The best experiences you'll have are ones that you achieve...and work towards.

Successes that you've made.

Not sad little impromptu dances in the parking lot.

You know, it used to be about cows...but a few years have come and gone.

It's about goats now.

And even if for some reason the 5 goats make it up the hill to the small playground which hides their fancy treats.

They still die at the end.

And thus sayeth he who came after.

After the moment, too late to shine.

Five goats free to wander this life.

An envy of thee, thou and thine.

But what is that in the distance?

A mirage of sorts to behold?

I could trust all the things you say...but first you'd have to take a little more of your daily medication as the doctor prescribed it...

I think it takes a few days to kick in.

I am not saying that Dr. Craiog Wright was one of the main developer but I said that he said to Rory that he was the main. While he has mentioned about the 'Tulip' and the 'Super Computer' it indicate to me that he probably had a connection to Wei Dai. He does not know real Satoshi but he thinks, that David Kleiman was Satoshi and he is dead; This is why he cited in his blog Satoshi is dead. But Satoshi Nakamoto is not dead neither his twin brother. Many people thought Harold Finney could be Satoshi and he is sleeping for long time as a dead man. Satoshi Nakamoto is preparing to launch his next project.

In reality blocksize is limited for a predetermined time period. Blocksize could be increase without breaking the rules. With new sets of Algorithm added to the old. Satoshi is busy with unlimited data structure and multifeatures transaction mechanism.

I had seen hundreds of Satoshi who wear us mask and pay money to advertiser and come as satoshi so I don't want to meet the next fake satoshi and satoshi is now not a simple man he is multi-billionaire n may that's why he is hiding his identity because its not actually the legal path to becoming richest man.

"Nobody"? I bet you're wrong, there must be some people know about him. At least 2 or 3 people must be know about Satoshi Nakamoto real identity, if there's no one knows about him then Satoshi Nakamoti wouldn't exist. Cuz what about Satoshi Nakamoti himself? He must knows about himself.

And, you never is he ordinary

if i could contact Satoshi Nakamoto i would beg him to sign a message and tell everyone publicly that he will never reveal his identity and he never intended to do so.
maybe that way, it can finally put an stop to all these nonsense topics about Satoshi, who he might be, ...

The opposite is true, people will always speculate until Satoshi is found.  I say sign a message and move a mountain or two if necessary to get it over with then we can move on with the revolution.

Now Satoshi has got a technical problem and  he won't sign the message with the Private Key of Genesis Block or Bitcoin  Block #1 to Block #197000. Suppose a man claim that he is 'Jesus Christ' the messiah the Pope will say that he won't believe unless the candidate  of Jesus Christ resurect another Lazarus from the dead. Or he must be able to wank on the water and make the wine out of water. So is the case
of Satoshi Nakamoto. Who do you think Satoshi Nakamoto is ? Is he Bitcoin Jesus or Bitcoin Moses ?  The nonsense speculation is is an important matter. It is needed for the market  developement strategic puroposes only.

If Satoshi can't sign those early blocks, due to a technical problem, can he at least move a large chunk of those early coins?  Cause if not, then I really don't see anyone believing that he is Satoshi.

As for what I think, I think Satoshi is Dr. Wright.  Hopefully we'll find out soon.

So Satoshi has a twin brother?  Can you give any hints about who that is?  The suspense is killing me.   lol

Hi adam440,
You could say what ever you wish bu I am not annoyed; Bitcoin did not fell from the space or grew ot of tree. Bitcoin Network requires technical understanding. Bitcoin is a electronic digital cash system. Bitcoin is mined with algorithm and stored in Coinbase and make transaction using Blockchain data structure which is a public ledger in the Bitcoin Network.

It was very hard, to not take all this glory but in same time avoid so many legal and not legal problems.
Not all people will show their faces in front of the camera and tell that you have invented it. Many inventors in our world is still anonymous and they like to keep their private lives unto themselves. They enjoy having their life in peace without flashing cameras and long interviews. It is not how you gain the glory but how you enjoy looking at people how happy they were with your invention.

Question for Satoshi: is there any way to use crypto to reduce the gap between rich and poor? It looks to me like crypto & blockchain (bitcoin expecially) will simply:
- make the rich richer
- collect personal data
- be the tool for banks & crooks
- launder money, favour illegal activities

What are the advantages for the honest ones?
BitCoin= Bribes Illegal Transactions Criminal Operations International Narcotics

I invented Bitcoin for a purpose and that purpose is in this three words, "Care and Share" that was the Bitcoin Motto.

Bitcoin is not an acronym as you said, BitCoin= Bribes Illegal Transactions Criminal Operations International Narcotics. This is wrong.  Bitcoin is Bit+Coin= Bitcoin. A form of peer-to-peer electronic cash system.

Satoshi (Dr. Wright) says:

No, equal is NOT fair.  We can have :

A) Equally poor

B) Wealthy societies that are unequal through growth

Growth makes all people better. It is not inequality that we need to address, but growth. Volatility is a low price to pay for high growth. Research compound interest - growth is the answer to all poverty problems.

Title: Re: Ask Satoshi Any Questions ?
Post by: Vlad2Vlad on February 10, 2017, 05:14:26 PM
Can you find the private key from a signed public key?

Satoshi [Dr. Wright] says:

If the ephemeral key (k) has been reused in the signing of multiple keys or has a poorly designed RNG this is possible. The SN keys are public and block 9 was used in a transaction that leaves the Public Key visible and not just the Key hash.

http://www.nilsschneider.net/2013/01/28/recovering-bitcoin-private-keys.html

Now, where a bitcoin address has not been used in the signing and movement of coin, the double hash of the public key does actually make the pubkey value secret and not able to be discovered (prior to use or other leakage).

The recovery of keys using a quantum computer is not possible in the near term and even was a 1,000,000 Qubit system developed, it would require months (or longer) of compute time.

There is a LOT of FUD around QC and cryptography. There is NO threat in the near term, and in contradiction to what is stated by many (using this as a reason to try to move to other protocols and away from the reference protocol), QC is not a means to suddenly crack ECDSA keys.

The following is the response from one of the scientists quoted by the Economist a few years back that lead to this BS:

Your article regarding D-Wave's demonstration of a "practical quantum computer", sets a new standard for sloppy science journalism. Most egregious is your assertion that quantum computers can solve NP-complete problems in "one shot" by exploring exponentially many solutions at once. This mistaken view was put to rest in the infancy of quantum computation over a decade ago when it was established that the axioms of quantum physics severely restrict the type of information accessible during a measurement. For unstructured search problems like the NP-complete problems this means that there is no exponential speed up but rather at most a quadratic speed up.

Your assertions about D-Wave are equally specious. A 16 qubit quantum computer has smaller processing power than a cell phone and hardly represents a practical breakthrough. Any claims about D-Wave's accomplishments must therefore rest on their ability to increase the number of qubits by a couple of orders of magnitude while maintaining the fragile quantum states of the qubits. Unfortunately D-Wave, by their own admission, have not even tested whether the qubits in their current implementation are in a coherent quantum state. So it quite a stretch to assert that they have a working quantum computer let alone one that potentially scales. An even bleaker picture emerges when one more closely examines their algorithmic approach. Their claimed speed up over classical algorithms appears to be based on a misunderstanding of a paper my colleagues van Dam, Mosca and I wrote on "The power of adiabatic quantum computing". That speed up unfortunately does not hold in the setting at hand, and therefore D-Wave's "quantum computer" even if it turns out to be a true quantum computer, and even if it can be scaled to thousands of qubits, would likely not be more powerful than a cell phone.

Umesh Vazirani

IF and I mean IF a 1 million QBit computer is made in my life time and this is a big if (equal to winning the lottery for the next 20 days without buying a ticket) then it will AT BEST take months if not decades to solve ECC.

Bitcoin addresses would need to have a system that can break ECC is seconds.

Such a system is NOT even theoretically possible.

So, please never listen to the FUD. Forget ideas such as Lamport Signatures. Bitcoin is as it is for a reason and the reason that these others who worry about science fiction did not create it is the reason we need to maintain it as the protocol was created.

It needs to be simple.

http://www.economist.com/blogs/theinbox/2007/02/quantum_computing_3

Edit:  Quantum computing is even less effective on the solutions to hashes.

The trouble that seems to be misunderstood is that a working Quantum computer cannot take an ECDSA signature and reverse this in a single operation as is proposed. All of the QC algorithms are multistep and multistage. The system needs to be reset following each process used in the calculation of a valid ECDSA Signature. This is not something akin to the existing methods used in computer science now.

We have current issues, thinking of possibilities out of theory 20 years hence is the least of the issues we face.

Edit 2:  [oh, I can't get Satoshi to stop once he gets going]:

Just as a further edit:

http://www.nature.com/articles/npjqi201523

In the Nature article, the talk of how a Billion Qbit quantum computer "could" possibly solve a 2000bit RSA key in a day.

This is still far smaller than a 256 Bit ECC based cryptosystem. The result is that the current research support the position I took in 2007. It is a shame we simply trust others to tell us what is true authoritatively rather than seeking the answers in a scientific manner.

YHWH knows Satoshi for sure, not sure He cares about bitcointalk.  :D

What a thing to say.  I like you.

Gulp! Just realized, bud, that I thought you were alluding to the opposite of what I mistakenly expanded upon. Seriously, I misread-cum-mistook your post. TBC, I'm not apologizing for reflecting my sentiment, but it wasn't the correct, funny or otherwise, response to your reply.

Hello Mr. adam440, I am not a troll. Why are you accusing me ? Do not try to use your power but be more wise and speak modestly. That will build your good reputaion.

I would ask him if he is working on other crypto coin projects after he left Bitcoin behind him. He has not to tell which project, but it would help to know that he is still around and help the technology to grow.
