when i try to use a old core wallet.

Just update the wallet. Updates exist for a (many) reason(s)... One of them is faster syncing without the need for a bootstrap file.

You offer the whole Blockchain to be downloaded from that torrent and not the pruned version? I guess that is one way of doing it, and once this is monetized you might make a few bucks. The other thing is, how many people will trust your source and would they need to verify it later.

Doing it through Electrum is quite fast.  :P

Time is Money!

Why would I want to download the whole blockchain? It takes a lot of resources and its useless for an ordinary user like me. If there was a reward or if someone paid me to run a node all year then I will do it. The blockchain has become quite huge its beginning to be a problem.

People would not necessary trust a new source when they are updating their blockchain because you never know what will happen as there were many scams in the past and with light weight wallets available i don't know whether people will be using core unless they are mining.

not to mention that downloading it or synching it make no difference, it would require the same amount of time, therefore it's pointless

everyone should just save a copy and update it every so weeks if he need to switch the wallet(cold storage that are offline for a very long tiem, not a new wallet, which can be reused before the seize of the pruning you choosed "expire") he can do it easily

i do not need people trust. i do this because i can not find fast way to finish sync all block.

for who think same time to finish block sync, that is not true for me most time is website server limit the speed not our ips.

thank you for reply

I am not against your vision,if you are happy doing so,go for it .I just made my assumption regarding it .It is true that a central server could restrict the download speed and if you are able to use P2P with a faster seed then it is really helpful for everyone who wants to download through it.

Does his system really like P2P transfer. If that is the case then that would be great since we can avoid the long hours of waiting until our transaction is confirmed. But if we are going to download the whole blockchain it really needs patient and time. But even though there are advantages in using this kind of system I will still prefer to use web wallets and with enough mining fee I can still get my transactions confirmed on schedule.

Some said that syncing is faster than downloading the blockchain than bootstrapping it. Maybe it depends on how many nodes you are connected to at one time. Maybe the number of connections to other nodes will also depend on your area and how near you are to other nodes?

There are some high frequency traders that have their servers near the exchange servers so that their trades get executed first. Maybe the same applies with being connected to Bitcoin nodes?

OK, I see the OP removed his torrent.

It seemed to be legitimate Windows RAR file in 41 parts. It was just seeded from a Windows machine through some dicey/hooky radio Internet provider with some misconfiguration somewhere on the link. Now wonder that this provider got recently delisted from NASDAQ.

I did not test anything in the mega.nz link as they always attempt to push some Javascript that attempts to install trojans and/or malware and and/or spyware. From a properly configured machines the mega.nz link just redirects to the "update your browser" screen or simply hangs.

Maybe someone with properly safeguarded Windows in a virtual machine could test the mega.nz links? I don't want to play on my Windows 7 machine, both of the links reliably crash Internet Explorer 11 that is current on patches.

It depends on the ISP. Many ISPs use CG-NAT ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT ) and the lame network control code in Bitcoin easily bans them. Other ISPs use native IPv6 with limited IPv4 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DS-Lite ) and again Bitcoin Core can't deal with that. I'm betting that OP was in the 1st group because of the radio-link ISP.

Even with a regular IPv4 ISP the download speed from your IP depends on how many other Bitcoin clients are in the same /16 subnet (or some such, I haven't looked in the at the code recently).

Bittorrent clients typically, when properly configured, have no such limitations and restrictions. If they are subject to limitations they deal with them much more efficiently.

is good you can use electrum bitcoin wallet
because in there without syncronize or only one minute in synconize wallet, so you addres can ready use without syncronize or download blockdata
bitcore and mulibit is very long time in syncronize

If anyone cares and for posterity:

1) I downloaded the files from mega.nz bunch of times to configure and test the new network hardware. I also torrented it between known good nodes. The data checks out correct.
2) It seems to be correct Bitcoin blockchain synchronized with 0.13.2. There's also partially synchronized testnet blockchain.
3) The files contain unmodified 0.11.1 software release for Windows 64 bit. I presume this is an accident, the important executable files are unchanged, there's no way to verify the dynamically generated uninstaller executable.
4) UnRAR decompresses files into heavily fragmented state, unlike the files created natively by the Bitcoin Core which at least makes an attempt at minimizing fragmentation. If you want to really use the downloaded files to save time: defragment the decompressed data before using it.
