Title: A Zen Book about Bitcoins Post by: Bitconian on April 17, 2013, 07:15:14 PM Hi everyone,
A friend of mine wrote this book full of zen quotes about bitcoins: ZENTOSHI: Thinking Quotes for the Bitcoin Aficionado. It's a good way to think peacefully in this moment of crash, when we need it the most. It's a fun book, with humor and deep thoughts about bitcoins. Trying to make you smile and think what is your final purpose with btc. I'll leave you some examples, so you can understand what is this book about:
Official web: www.zentoshi.com (Check the web, there is a beautiful picture of a Buddhist statue) Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Zentoshi-Thinking-Quotes-Bitcoin-Aficionado/dp/1484028635/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366144252&sr=8-1&keywords=zentoshi I hope you all enjoy. Thanks!!! B. Title: Re: A Zen Book about Bitcoins Post by: empoweoqwj on April 17, 2013, 07:44:52 PM Or you might just read a real book about Buddhism and forget about bitcoins altogether for a bit. I don't think "pondering bitcoins" during a crash is particularly helpful.
Buddhism and bitcoins are pretty much mutually exclusive if you are familiar with the principles of Buddhism. I don't think "pondering bitcoins" during a crash is particularly helpful. like other "zen" pop culture books, I don't think it's actually trying to win converts to buddhism, but apply some of its philosophy to a particular areaBuddhism and bitcoins are pretty much mutually exclusive if you are familiar with the principles of Buddhism. Title: Re: A Zen Book about Bitcoins Post by: justusranvier on April 17, 2013, 07:54:16 PM if you are familiar with the principles of Buddhism. Buddhism: all the superstition and irrationality of mainstream religions with twice the smug pretentiousness. You're not unhappy because you live in a brutal feudalistic dictatorship, you're unhappy because you want things. As long as you teach yourself not to want things, things such as free association, self-actualization, and economic freedom, you won't be unhappy about your rulers not allowing you to have them. Go back to work, peasant. The philosophy of Buddhism is the same as that of a bully hitting a younger child with the child's own fists and saying, "Stop hitting yourself!" It can make you think, but its purpose is to make people smile.
We have a crash....we all know, maybe is when we need more fun than ever :D As you can see, here's more examples :) :
