Title: 1 Bitcoin Costs 2000$
Post by: USA on February 20, 2017, 10:08:13 PM
What do we need to do to make 1 Bitcoin cost 2000$?
Do we need to invest and hold?
Do we need to make Bitcoin businesses?
Do we need to write more articles about Bitcoin for top news websites?
Do we need ask top 1 Youtube Blogger "PewDiePie" to promote Bitcoin?
Do we need to do it all?

What cause Bitcoin price to increase?
The more demand we have the bigger the price?
So we just need more people buying Bitcoin instead of selling?

I can see now what you did right there in one post you asked questions and answered them yourself, yes people(miners) need to stop selling everything they're mining every day, earners, freelancers need to hold for more than a month at least. we also need Satoshi with this forum's account of his comes online and talk some reasoning with the stubborn minority holding back the network improvement proposals.
Imagine if every single bitcoin holder refuses to sell less than $2000 but that's not going to happen because many people depend on daily trading of bitcoins and as soon as they can mine any they'll just sell at the highest available price.

I think that selling products & services for Bitcoin is not bad, it makes Bitcoin more popular, i think that exchanging into fiat hurts for Bitcoin.

You need to teach your president how to use the Computer. If he dont understand how internet work he will never understand how bitcoin work.

As soon Bitcoin will reach $1999 he will ban it and China and India and Japan will be only countries with Free Bitcoin.

You can help by paying $2000 for a bitcoin. I happen to have some for sale at that price.

In your order...
  • A lot more interest
  • We need to invest and hold and we need others to invest and hold (or more volume per current investor)
  • Bitcoin businesses would help to spread the comfort level to more people, more regular news articles would help too
  • See the last one
  • PewDiePie shouldn't touch this shit...he's a moron, a joke. If he starts talking about Bitcoin we're all doomed
  • See the last one
  • Price increases when there are more buyers than sellers
  • Yes
  • Look at the big brain on Brad! Now you're getting it! Good work, bro!

Good questions.

well, all of these are very helpful solutions to get the word out there so that more people find out about bitcoin. but we can just buy and hold to wait for the price to go up.
although as a regulare user i think if you can only tell the people around you about bitcoin you already acheive a lot.
running a business, etc are good but not for regular users.

and in short the only cause for bitcoin price that can stick around is more adoption. all the hype,... rises won't last longer than 2 weeks.

If top giants E-commerce websites like Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress etc. will start accepting Bitcoins as payment method, then price will jump to $2500+ within a week.

you may think that right now but it won't.
price doesn't go magically up just because a big service started accepting bitcoin. when these services start accepting bitcoin this means two things:
- there are already bitcoin users requesting the addition of that service so they can use it, which won't affect price.
- new people are exposed to bitcoin which means they start searching what bitcoin is and slowly buy some overtime, which means it will take much longer than a week to reach a high price.

Different people have different price target for sell, because people intend to sell at 3000 usd, if he bought at 1500 usd. Personally I will sell bitcoin at 2000 usd, because I bought my most bitcoin below 600 usd.

See don't consider bitcoin will reach 2000$ in short period of time, daily many new people are using bitcoin for their daily life. So once many people start buying bitcoin and holding bitcoin definitely the price of bitcoin will increase to 5000$. It is not possible with single person, it completely depend the people how they are going to use bitcoin.

I don`t have information about the bitcoin users, but in my opinion,47% of them use btc for gambling and 50% use btc to "buy low/sell high".Maybe 3% of  the people only use btc to buy goods and services.
The bitcoin price matters only for the speculators ,who buy low and sell high to get some profit and they convert the profit into fiat money because they are not bitcoin believers. They do it for the profit only.

I really feel that silly little gimmicks like that are way below Bitcoin now, and won't increase the price by 15 billion USD!
The ETF might move the market a little, but I expect that new inflows of money from Africa and non-China Asia would be the main ways for a natural price increase that would get us to $2000.

There is no rush anyway. I personally can't make any difference, you probably can't either. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

No, supply and demand must not be manipulated or we are just going to create a bubble by creating false scarcity, if someone getting paid in bitcoins is to keep them for a long period of time then it must be because he wants to do it and not to be forced in any way.

You must tell all people in this world to use bitcoin in that way there will be a big chance it can go to 2000$ price or even higher that we dont expect. Maybe it will up to $20k

AFAIK , more people interst on bitcoin it will affect supply and demand which impact on bitcoin value

If we own our bitcoin businesses , it means they need bitcoin for their transaction so it will impact on demand for bitcoin that lead into bitcoin value increased !

Writing article etc will make a good marketing for bitcoin to gather more potential investor

As long as the youtuber agree , it won't be problem at all instead it encourage, IMO

IMO, just do whenever you can do, Don't push yourself

We don't need to do nothing but buy and hold, the rest of the people will eventually catch up and get in. Don't hope that western people will start using bitcoin daily until they get fucked by the cashless agenda in 10 or 20 years. We can't have an every-day usage by the average joe bitcoin without LN anyway.

if you just hold and don't invest you are not contributing to the value, so this imho is not a good move, we have then bitcoin business who the only reason to accept bitcoin is dumping lol, this is not good either, the only way to increase the demand is with adoption, but what we can do for a better adoption? you need to make people believe that the price will increase, they will buy into their own speculation and make this happen

Maybe 2000$ is not so close as it seems. Price looks very nice and the trends are saying it should continue to rise but anything can happen to interrupt this trend. I don't except 2000$ in the upcoming months, maybe not even this year but with time and good circumstances on the market even biger price is possible.

completely have to agree with you, there were people who felt pessimistic about the price when it was like 10 dollars, right now it is 1000 dollars 100x bigger so i think the time can easily make it twice as big as it is now

Going there slowly, we already have a 24hrs volume of 168KBTC  that means 100*of daily mined coins which are around 1700.
So even if miners stop to sell what they are mining daily there are still enough supply for those new demands, Satoshi could dump all his coins in matter of one week but then he would be exposed when converting to fiat unless he sells them in cash.
I think this climb is going to be long.

$2000 doesn't look like the beginning. I think the beginning for the price moves from $1000, because bitcoin price is stabilizing around $1000-$1010 most of the recent periods upward and downward price variations. Only thing is that we'll get a stable price above $1000 for 2017.

The beginnning is the first price of Bitcoin if you want to put it that way.  But I guess the next chapter starts when Bitcoin break its ATH.  So possibly the beginning of the next chapter for Bitcoin will be $1200.  I hope Bitcoin will start its new chapter soon :)  The road to $2000.

I want to believe that 1 Bitcoin will reach $2000 this year.  More probably at the end of 2017.  There are more people who are coming and joining the bitcoin economy.  The ETF will boost this and whether it is approved or not, it is irrelevant because Bitcoin certainly will reach $2000 in due time.

It won't be long and we'll see the price going 2k, a year or two isn't that far. So while you have the time to earn as much as possible, get more bitcoin into your stash for the future is brighter than you imagine.
I have been gathering more bitcoin these days which is why I have sold already the altcoins I've been keeping for months. I will just buy them later after all these are going to be cheaper still because of the people dumping it too. It won't stop at 2k though and so even with jsut few coins at hand, I may have just to keep them.

The more valuable BTC can be after 4 years from now because of the halving. I know its too far ahead but there is no where else to go. 4 years will soon come anyway.

these "chapters" aren't necessarily determined based on the price. it is mostly based on the news and all the other things that are going on with bitcoin.
for example the next "chapter" can be when the ETF's fate is finally clear. or the next chapter can be when something changes about the block size. in any case the rise is going to continue but slowly without these things.
