Post by: Swompy on February 21, 2017, 07:11:00 AM
Hello Bitcoin community,

I am planing to buy the Asicminer SHA256
,but the guy who is selling it said there is no controller and i would need the BE200 controller.
My question is cant i connect the minet with a laptop and let the programm run from there.

Ps: I know that the Engergy cost gets higher when i run a laptop aswell but thats not my Propelm.

Are you knowledgeable enough to setup these kinds of things? It's not the way things were designed and it makes it more challenging.
If you're asking this question in the first place, I think you won't get far.
Are you willing to dedicate the laptop solely to mining?

Pretty sure once you hook up the BE controller for the tube or prisms you're running it'll become standalone much like the Antminer series. Just make sure you connect the controller to your router or switch and also to your miners. Prismas or tubes MUST run on the controllers and they cannot mine without it iirc. The controllers already support stratum so you won't need to setup a proxy like the blades or cube.
