Title: Bitcoin naming convetions - .0001 = pip
Post by: Anonyvole on June 16, 2011, 06:57:33 PM
As I cannot post to the actual thread, given that I've just joined, I'll have to post the idea here and hope that it gets moved.

Using foreign exchange terms (Forex) use the term "pip".

.0001 = bitpip, or just pip

10 pips = .001 BTC
100 pips = .01 BTC
1000 pips = .1 BTC
10000 pips = 1 BTC

This is in congruence with the normal valuation of the non-JPY currencies where the ten thousandth decimal is called a pip.

1 EUR = 1.4041 USD
