Title: Please help I've had a transaction problem
Post by: fazy on February 23, 2017, 01:30:59 AM
My transaction ID is 59706f0b05fce6e712210698c833826055f531e94e52a7bd9ea25d65ee9e8bd0

I am using electrum and everything is set to default.

I went to here and I can't make sense of it: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

How long is it going to take for my coins to send and begin confirmation?

Do I have to leave my electrum open and computer on for it to send?

Is there any way to cancel the payment and start again with a higher fee? Or resend it?

I'm a complete noob and I have spent ages on Google with no answers I understand.

I appreciate any response!

Your transaction size is 192 bytes and you attached a 0.0001 BTC fee.  This means you paid ~52 satoshis per byte.
Look on the left side of the page at https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ under the fees heading and you can see where your transaction fits in.  Then follow that over to the right side of the page under the delay heading to see the expected number of blocks it could take to confirm your transaction.

Unfortunately, I cant accelerate your tx because ViaBTC has already hit it's hourly limit.

Okay thank you for your response! I turned my laptop off though.. it's back on now and I'm gonna leave it on tonight. It's still unconfirmed. My laptop and electrum have been back on for a few hours now, have I messed something up?

Also what do you mean by accelerating my tx and the hourly limit stuff?

Thanks again for your responses.

you can leave turn off your laptop, that shouldn't be a problem while waiting for your transaction to get confirmed :)

accelerating the transactions means that you will submit your transaction ID to some service so when they found a bitcoin block they would include your transaction thus getting your first confirmation

I was just able to submit your transaction now.  On average, ViaBTC finds a block every 3 hours so it should confirm relatively soon.

ViaBTC does it again.  I believe they do the Bitcoin community a great service with their accelerator.
