Bitcoin has been on a rally over the past week, increasing by almost $200, reaching a near all-time high of $1,140 on the most liquid western exchanges. It is just $26 short of breaching all-time high, but will it?

I think it can surpass bitcoin all time high traders and holders of bitcoin are extremely
happy, however, it still 2 weeks before the decision and we don't know what will
happen in the future..

Yes I think so, despite all attempts of unlimited shills and other scaremongers, bitcoin achieves new all-time high. And after ETF and segwit activation bitcoin easily triples this year

It is just a few dollars away from surpassing the ATH set in 2013. I don't think the price hike is going to stop anytime soon. The hype due to ETF on March 11 is driving the price really high. I think, we will see a new ATH anytime soon. After March 11, is another question. If it gets approve or not may have drastic effect on bitcoin price. We should prepare for that.

It's just 10$ away from the all time highest rate and I feel it's going to surpass that any moment from now. It's even edging closer to beating gold price and I'm optimistic we are going to take in more profits before the end of the month.

Yes it will surpass the All-time-high bitcoin price for sure. I hope it will continue to rise after the SEC handed down it decision, but I believe the decision will not be favorable to bitcoin community.

Bitcoin is currently at $1162  at the time of this post, I think Bitcoin will surpass the all time high price soon.  This news about ETF is surely making the Bitcoin Bull charged, something like Bull in a steroid LOL.  Hopefully people who jump in this price won't get burn and the ETF be approved.

Update: ATH broken

I only hope that if the ETF is actually approved , we then get the extra pump from investors who wouldnt have normally put anything into it. Its going to be dissapointing if ETF gets approved but price starts dropping back down again.

The price is currently at $1153 by tomorrow it might surpass the all time. Buy and hold traders are the one benefiting from this current movement. Though 11-3-2017 is the deal day but my speculation is, if ETF turned out to be positive I expect bitcoin price to pump up to $2000 and if turned out to be negative it might continue to rally around $1000.

Yeah!!! This is the best year for me since i bought a lot of cheap bitcoins last year and i can't imagine that the price will surpass its ATH and now we are creating another type of price history and i'm sure that we are all enjoying it ;D.

Anyone want to make a prediction when this run will end?   I thought it was done a week ago, cant believe its still climbing.

There is a reason and the current hype of Bitcoin is the upcoming ETF decision.  I will not remove the possibility of the bull trap but well those who bought at cheaper price can sell their Bitcoin before it hits bottom if things went out of hand :)

I personally don't even feel that the Bitcoin ETF is going to be approved based on the pure fact of how volatile and risky Bitcoin is and how easy it would be, based on past history of bitcoin volatility, for an investor to lose all their earnings very quickly.

I'm not saying this risk isn't present when it comes to trading stocks, but everyone here knows bitcoin is much more risky then stocks. In the off-chance for approval, I don't think the Bitcoin price will be affected in a major way due to it, maybe it'll jump a bit then fall a bit.

In this bull run, all that matters is what people's perceptions are. If people think that there is a good chance of the ETF getting approved, the price will increase like crazy. In the end, if it doesn't get approved, we will have a huge crash.

It is true, if the ETF is disapproved, the once bull charge will be a bull trap.  Bulls will be burn by their own charge and price will definitely go down.  I can see whales taking advantage of the news to crash the market and buy Bitcoin at the lowest possible price.

Yeah bull trap that's why i've planted to sell my bitcoin before 11 march. i just try to prevent for my to get the bull trap. and i can get some profit again. I've ready for the dump after the news of 11 march will have released.

And still can go higher and will continue to write its own all time high record if the ETF is approved. If the ETF is not approved. The price will surely drop. But im really happy that we break the ath and sets a new ath.
