Title: Antpool mined 2 Blocks in 3 Seconds?
Post by: codrvar on February 23, 2017, 05:29:53 PM
I have never seen 2 blocks mined so close to each other from the same pool. With the current difficulty, Quite impressive.

Blocks
454339
454340

the reason why they could mine so fast is because of more than 90k unconfirmed transactions.
That's nonsense; the two are unrelated.

Now I have a question which seems no one has a convincing answer to it. how is it possible to mine a block without providing the network with confirming and including transactions? see below:

There are many many threads on the forum about empty blocks. Search and you will find your answers. It has been answered thousands of times before.

so this explain why the numbers of block per day is higher some times, the average is supposed to be 2016 per two weeks, but we have not even once the number of blocks under the so called "average", it's always above that point

but i can't find a chart about the movement of the average block every two weeks, which i suspect is higher than 2016

This is because the block time is not something set in the rock, this is just an average. At the beggining these things surprised me but now that I know this, I simply know that it is a matter of luck.
