It will be 2000 because it has no sense to be 1000 again in the end of 2017. This would damage badly the bitcoin reputation as this would be a year which gave nothing to bitcoin in price increase. Some people would lose faith in it. I have no proof to support my idea only this logical answer.

There is no proof as you want it to be only speculation but past performance could be a good indicator for future and another thing is difficulty of mining, overall if ETF approves we might as well see $3000+ before the year ends.

My suggestion base on my seeking for bitcoin's price and I noticed that each year it's price got doubled. So I think the price will move close to 2000$ by the end of 2017 year.

How on Earth are we supposed to supply proof?

There might be some epic moments in the middle bit, but my guess is we finish the year in the $1300-$1500 range.

That's if there isn't any forkageddon in which case it might be zero, or rather two chains that are both zero.

I don't think even now we can guess the price of bitcoin as it is a decentralised currency so it totally depends on the buying and selling rate. But in the last few months we can clearly see that the price isn't increasing all of a sudden and has a stable growth. Now of course we can't tell for how long it will remain but if this is the situation we can expect $1500 by end of the year most probably

It's quite unwise to speculate about bitcoin's price right now, 2 weeks before event which will potentially shape price.
But if have to try and guess BTC price before knowing the fate of ETF - I would say:

- in case of fail - bitcoin will never cross $1300 in 2017, probably we will see $900-$1100
- in case of approval - massive price boost, $2000-$3000 is possible

Not more than $2000. And i think the ETF decision will not give a lot for the price of bitcoin. According to the current trend of the bitcoin. 2500$!! want proof?  You can already see where the price could go by seeing the price chart.  I can only guarantee that the price will increase every month until it reaches that price .

What if the price reach $2500, what next would happen.I am sure there will be plenty of corrections in the bitcoin market before reaching that value and so you really cannot figure out when the price would move and as some suggest if ETF is approved then we could see a rapid change in price if not expect for a slow growth.

The price move is quite good along with that ETF approval is under process. Soon based on the state of approval we experience a good increase. Also countries have made regulatory activities to use bitcoin and few countries have made their own digital currency. Possibly till the end of the year we might stay above $1000.

i hope bitcoin price will be reach to $2000 at the end of 2017 because bitcoin adopting is increasing very faster day to day and a lot of people investing their money in bitcoin and bitcoin getting more popularity in 2017 so i am sure bitcoin will be rise to $2000 sooner.

this is speculation and for speculation you don't need proof! and your POLL is flawed. only 3 options with very different values!
the first one ($1000) is impossible period.
the second one ($2000) is too vague to say anything about but i chose that one because if history is any indication price always goes up between 150% to 200%
and the last one ($3000) seems a bit unreal to me only in one year (9-10 months) unless something big and good happens that puts bitcoin on the map.

I am predicting that the price will go beyond $2000 but will stabilize at the low $2000s by the time 2017 is over. The thing with predictions is there is no proof to back it up, because if that is the case, we would all be buying now if we are certain that our predictions are accurate. Around this time last year, I think the price was still at around $400 and fast forward to where we are now, the price continues to break new resistance levels above $1150. Another event could push the price higher but there is bound to be a dump sometime in the future, but still bitcoin would outperform any other currency by a wide margin.

the only prediction about long term bitcoin price that I can give you is "rise" which means if price is $1100 ish today that means by the end of this year price can be higher than this. so that eliminates your first poll option.
then the "how much higher" price depends on many things. such as what will happen during this time. for example if ETF is approved we can see faster price rise. if it is not approved we can expect slower price rise. and so on.

Where are the more likely options like 800? 500?
Have we forgotten that bitcoin fundamentally does not scale and offers no useable level of privacy?

No proof or technical analysis unfortunately but I went for $2000. With the rate that the price has risen over the last 12 months I think we can say $2000 looks likely by the end of 2017.

$3000 would be great but I conservatively went for $2000.

$2000 i think it is sure by 2017 and we are waiting for at least $3000 once the sec approved maybe it will go beyond that..up to $4000

Growing interest among people through out the world for bitcoin has made great increase in bitcoin price.US president trump seems to be not going against bitcoin.In india, due to demonitization, lots of people have lost their hope in their currency and searching for other sources.Bitcoin would be their best choice.US dollar seems to be going to loose its position as global reserve currency.Bitcoin would definitely reach $3000 by the end of 2017.

And it would be a shame if we all didn't have an opportunity load up on a bit more during a temporary moment of weakness back to $800, $500, or $200...I'd love to see $200 again.

But the bitcoin still need a lot of the support to reach $3000 at the end of 2017 and it need the halving to make the price of bitcoin will have doubled in the future. $2000 is more reasonable.

I'm with you with the $2000 speculation at the end of the year.
As I have said before, ETF or not, bitcoin price will not be volatile as before, on the contrary
its been stable as ever. Although, there's still the issue on scability (Segwit vs BU),
before it can fully adopted by mainstream. And think the price will rise and it will continue
to rise up until the end of the year. An I hope it can reach it maximum potential
in the next couple of years. Just my 2¢.

Damm fuck. No one would expect bitcoin to reach to scratch again. I do not think that it is possible also because mining has been reduced in last halving, supply and demand is huge for bitcoins. In this case bitcoin ll not pull back to crease again. I hope bitcoin will touch 2000$ in coming Christmas.

This is what I expected also..no more dump that hit as low as that 200?No really. But for 2000usd its 100% sure this year.
