I have the same problem. I have got a XFX 5850 black edition: Code: user@linuxcoin:/media/usb$ aticonfig --adapter=all --odgc I am able to overclock from 765 to 775, or anything within the "Configurable Peak Range". Whith AMDOverdrive I can change the range to set memory to 300, but I can't configure an higher value than 775 on core. I have tried to cange the pcie mhz in the bios from 100 to 110, but the card still runs with 775 mhz... I had to load a modified BIOS with 1.088 voltage to be able to run 900-975 stably.
Installing the ATI 11.6 Linux drivers (remove fgrlx packages first before installing) will let you set out of bound clock and memory settings with aticonfig. export DISPLAY=:0 aticonfig --odsc 875,300 --adapter=all |
