Title: Server PSU - Dell Poweredge 1855 1955 PSU AHF-2DC NT750 2100W
Post by: 88nightrider on March 10, 2017, 07:44:29 PM
Anyone have a clue where to get the connector for this PSU?

Dell Poweredge 1855 1955 PSU AHF-2DC 2100W (12v 175A) Pinout.
Works on 220-240v only.
Is compatible with US home type split-phase 220VAC but be cautious as to the correct wiring of the plug.

All of the important pins are included.

Connect PS On (A5) and PS Kill (B3) to ground to power up.

A5 = PS On
B3 = PS Kill
B2 = 12VS (voltage sense)
C2 = 12VLS (current share)
C4 = 12VS return (voltage sense return)
B4,B5,B6,C5,D5 = 5V
A4,A6,C6,D6 = Ground

Power adapter cable ?
I was thinking more about the connector in the back. The one that the PSU connects to in the Dell Poweredge 1855/1955 Chassis.
I have been searching the internet for five days to try to find what I would call a "power board" (for a lack of a better word) for the blade chassis. So far no luck  :-\

 And why do you want that if it works fine with a pcie power adapter cable ?

Do you have some more info on that "pcie power adapter cable"?
Thanks  :)

I'm sorry if I'm over thinking all of this  :-[

So I guess you are looking for a breakout board.

That is different model of a server psu comparing what I'm used to see in the mining scene.

I was not able to find you a breakout board with a quick search, so good luck for searching.

Another option: you could solder or have some other guy solder cables straight to psu.
See this message for reference what I'm meaning https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1424784.msg14438184#msg14438184

Basicly yes.
I was thinking about making one, if I could find somewhere to get the connector for the Dell Poweredge 1855/1955 Chassis.

I have been thinking about it. But I would need someone els to do it since I don't have a soldering iron with enought watt for the task...
Was also thinking about getting a copper part made to be soldered in, so that I could connect cables to it.

Dont forget that it may require some sort of load across a couple of pins for it to actually switch on.

If the information I found on RCgroups.com forum was correct
Connect PS On (A5) and PS Kill (B3) to ground to power up.
And I don't have the PSU yet. It's on it's way
