and just like any other price prediction, nobody can tell you when. we can say $1500 will be reached sometime in the near future based on the bitcoin performance in the past but it is not possible to tell when.

It's hard to say when will bitcoin reach $1,500 if we are going to look back at year 2016. The price of bitcoin is stable at $800.

And most of the people speculated the before the end of the year the price will reach $1,000 and it did happened.

Maybe each end of the year there is something good that is happening and possibly bitcoin will reach that amount.

It feels like to me that it is very close right now.

Since the ETF decision bitcoin has been holding up quite nicely. None of the flash crash that people were speculating about. In fact the price actually has risen quite a lot from the few days before the ETF decision, which is an added bonus.

There are currently no signs of market crashing any time soon, and every day it's going up quite steadily. None of the 20% per day profit we've seen in 2013, it's a lot more stable.

I'd say that within 2 months we'll see $1500, it's not even that difficult consider that to get to $1500 it's only a less than $300 rise.

End of summer at the latest. There s a lot of interest in Bitcoin and supply s only going down in the future. By next halving, over $5k for sure. However, we re still long way from there.

users with no idea had biught their bitcoin in high price the day ETF was rejected, they were hopeful they could peofit when btc price rockets after the approval. but that is if its approved. now regretting and are forced to wait til the price apike again which is why they didn't dump for now. but wait awhile.

Your opinion was my bet at the beginning of the year. It wont struggle to attain this at the end of the year. Every sign showed a high adoption rate even in Africa. The adoption will keep increasing and this will fight any scare of dump because of the high demand to supply

By the end of the summer will be the most popular belief. Although it may not reach 1500$ by that time but will be rose to a near position.

Bitcoin has been hoovering over $1,000 USD to $1,250 USD since February 03, it may drop $20 USD in a day or two but it will bounce back again with an extra of $10 USD or $20 USD. With that being said $1,500 USD can be attained this year or maybe by mid of this year as long as there is no bad news that will surface like another exchange site hacked and all coins stolen. Those kind of news hurts the industry.

Yeah, bitcoin is currently quite stable at its around $1,200 value which means that there isn't much action right now. But i cannot think of any reason why it won't be at the level of say $1500 by the end of the year, as long as as you said, no major negative news is cast over bitcoin.

I would say that in 2017, there will be relatively less altcoin action and the big players will focus more on bitcoin as the market cap grows and whales are willing to put in more and more money into trading bitcoin.

However anything said now won't necessarily be the future. Nobody knows what the future holds for BTC :D

Bitcoin price increase is quite stable and fast movement is going on, so anytime soon we might experience $1500. Something unexpected happening will make the situation go worse. Same as that the long time debate is going on and based on that too we might experience the price in the future.

if everything go well and the hard fork will not happen it can reach that value in a short time, seeing how it retunred very fast to $1300, before summer is a good estimate

the price of the bitcoin is really difficult to predictions. But we all believe that,

I agree with you. I think bitcoin would reach that price ranges if something would drive its price now or later this summer upwards. If nothing will drive it up, I think it would be longer before we see 1500$. For now lets wait and see and be wary of the news so that you can buy in time so that profit will comd to you. There's always the possibility of dump too.

with all the bullshit that is flying around you can't possibly come up with a time of the rise. right now there is a new drama about BU fork and lots of FUD and there will be a lot of sell pressure soon because of it and weak hands that are slowly getting back in will be flushed out.

If you're so sure of that, you 'obviously' have stacked up as many coins as possible at current prices, right? There are less than 4 years to go before we reach the next halving date, and if you think that we'll reach $5000 by that time, you won't have any problems waiting. ;)


OP; I prefer to remain somewhat conservative when it comes to my predictions, but we all know how great the current demand and sentiment levels are. I say there is 75% chance that we'll break through $1500 before the end of this year (to remain somewhat of my conservativeness). I just can't discard the endless scaling debates that cover the entire community with a thin layer of negativity.

Not for the next 4-5 months i think. As you can see, the price of bitcoin is just keep up and down in the last 2 weeks and it will continue until may maybe. My prediction is Bitcoin will fall to $1000 in the next month and it will increase slowly up to $1500, maybe around October-November the price can reach it or even more.

There is high probability that you are right. There is one problem thought, inevitable scaling solution can happen.
We don't know what it would be but we can't rule out the possibility of a hard fork and this will be a problem.

I think if viewed from ever happening ever before, Bitcoin will increase at the end of the year or early in the following year. While in full running almost a year, prices are going to fluctuate around the price of progress.

If it is just a touch and go situation, it May happen between April to June. We always experience a pump and dump situation during those months. But this is just pure speculation based on past performance. And we all know past performance should not be a basis for future results.

If it is to stay on that level, I say before this year ends, we are well and stable at that price. And that is if we get a pump on November.

It would be nice to see some sort of an explanation as to why you think the price will crash. I honestly don't see anything indicating this since the increasing demand is the main driver of the price. That however doesn't mean we won't go down a bit, but a crash is not something I am worrying about. My range may be a bit on the wider side, but I think we'll keep bouncing between $1150-$1250 in the coming weeks/month. Mainly because of people cashing out, where after that the demand pushes the price back up.

I agree. Ever since Bitcoin has reached 1000+ price again everyone is talking about big crash but without any solid ground for that. What are the key issues and facts that are in favour of big price dump? At the moment I can't see any but people are probably afraid because of some events in past where the big pump was followed by big dump.
I predict that Bitcoin will remain around 1100-1250$ for a while and for a 1500$ we will have to wait longer.

Maybe there will be a rapid price increase before the end of 2017. But for the first week of January 2018 it will be dumped and will be back maybe to $1,200-$1,300 but there's a need first to see the price close to $1,400 and if we saw that it will be coming for the 3rd quarter of this year then it's very possible that it can reach on that price.

True, these scaling debates pretty much hinder Bitcoin's progress as a currency and will continue to do so for a long time.  I think that this whole period since late December has been a bit strange and Bitcoin needs to show some stability before it can genuinely move forward because right now I don't know what the people's value is and what's just temporary hyped market sentiment.

Well this one is tricky as we might reach the mark of $1500 by December which will be a new milestone for us but at the same time yes there might be some fluctuations and it depends on the bitcoin transaction during new year holidays of 2018 which will decide whether the price of bitcoin will cross the $1500 mark or throttle down temporarily.

People don't understand what it takes to "just" keep the price at current levels, let alone to bump the price higher.

That's over expectation. Bitcoin price never goes down to $800. The price has started to decrease this might be the right time for traders to buy and Jeep hold. Price in a short or within the year end touches $1500 when the technology debate gets a perfect decision to run the entire network.

Well I think $1500 is on the way now. Since the beginning of the year, we can see on the chart the price trend is move high even many bad news released. Last topic that we've heard ETF is rejected by SEC and with this news, panic sell happened and down the price for just one day, after that price is continue​ raising. I think when that time of middle month of this year bitcoin would reach that $1500, because more will be buying for good purpose in the future next months until december. Most of bitcoiners were that agressive to think and decide for the right thing they think and they will actually do it, that's why bitcoin stayed longer and economic system was really healthy beyond expectation even though we encountered fluctuations of price.

The market is not in favour of a bull run at the moment as talks about a hard fork is hurting the price of bitcoin ,antpool started it all by changing their miners to bitcoin unlimited and now some of the major exchanges have come to an agreement that they will view bitcoin unlimited as an alt coin if they are planning for a fork and these sort of news of uncertainty is driving the price down .

I think it can reach 1500$ this december, usually the high rising price is at that month, but that rising usually is not stable it will go down again in january, and for now the rising is a bit difficult because there are investor shift their investing into alt coin because the alt coin got a good rising price lately

No, because too many the investors are feeling panic because the FUD by the shills. It make the investors are trying to move his amount and save his value into the altcoin which mean it makes a lot of the pump for the altcoin and there are a lot of the party in the altcoin.

I think it's within the year, though I am not sure how long it will happened and when. It is hard to predict since there have been a lot of news lately that causing unrest in the bitcoin users right now. Prices have been dropping and rising because of the people panicking over what will happen if things don't go their way. This is also the reason why people are moving to other altcoins.

Bitcoin can reach $1500 at anytime. It is already at 1020 or so. Yes, it has been correcting slowly for a while after ETF rejection and after the reports about Bitcoin Unlimited. But any political or economical news that can freak out people which will lead to spikes in Bitcoin price. Remember we got election in France, Germany and Scotland referendum. So be ready to see a pump at any time. As long as bitcoin stays above $1000, it can reach $1500 anytime.

I don't see how elections and whatever referendum will have a significant impact on the price. Especially when you consider what has been driving down the price (fork speculation). It's a potential threat that people take very seriously. It of course doesn't mean we'll really see a fork happen within a certain time frame, but the speculation is enough to get the price down, and to keep it down. We can't just discard the problems we are facing, because we must have larger blocks. I hope SegWit will be the one that gives us exactly that, but there aren't any certainties in this regard.

at this point the $1500 will take a bit longer time, because of the fear that was created in the market this time, people are going to be more cautious and that will make the rise slow down a lot.

i am sure after this downtime period we will see $1150 price again but get stuck behind the $1200 wall and breaking it will take time. but after that, things will be more smooth again.

I don't mind the last year story to repeat and I will be buying with both hands if the price gets back to $500 like it did last August. But I really doubt we go that low. Also, Bitcoin is still too young to call for seasonals, so I guess the probability the scenario from the last year repeats is quite low.

I don't think we could see it within 2 months without any trigger that encourage people to buy bitcoin at higher price as ATH settled around $1280. Maybe if this problem regarding bitcoin unlimited or SegWit will over than we may see people invest on bitcoin again which surpass latest all time high. If we predict it based on steady increase, I guess it may reach $1500 on July.

the scaling issue is not really an issue it is mostly a hyped up debate among people that many different groups are using very differently. in the end nothing has changed about bitcoin and nothing will change about bitcoin.

for example in bitcoin market many decided to use the opportunity to dump some coins and create panic to buy cheap coins and they were successful since they could buy bitcoin with a huge $300 discount.
or in altcoin market the whales and manipulators decided it was a good time to pump their coins and they surely did pump them up to 300% and some smaller ones to 450% rise.

and as we can see, as things coming back to normal all those alt pumps are ending and bitcoin is rising back again.

It would have reached $1500 by may,but due to issues like BU and hard fork,bitcoin faced a slight decline in its price.But it was only temporary and it has recovered now to $1075.I hope bitcoin would surely reach $1500 within six months.

Again price seems rising again. I hope we will reach 1500$ end of April or may month. Because every year there is slight bump in the price in the month of April. I think it will happen for this year and likely Christmas time we use to bump in the chart. We need to understand that this dump is a soft fork only it won't make huge impact on price.

It's very hard to predict since many people are doubting to buy btc for now and surely many speculators are just watching for the price movement for now. So 1500$ will not be achievable for this time but maybe the right prediction of the price is on 1000$ and it will continue to play for that, And for the hardfork issue surely thats the double doubt for the people to stake cause the situation by that moment is pretty unsure.

April is too early, BTC has just begun to rise after the momentary drop and is at around 1100 now. Even before this drop BTC was at around $1250 so a jump even back to that price would be good for April. $1500 should come by June is we are lucky and another drop doesn't happen.

If you asked me this a few weeks a go I will probably say that for the end of the summer we could reach that price, but after the reduction in price and the ongoing rumors of a fork, I think the investors and traders are going to take their time and see how the segwit and BU issues resolves itself.

I would still hold, if I sell may have gotten a big enough advantage, but I'm sure if the price was up to $1500 is certainly not difficult to reach $2000 or more. But we have to be realistic, $1500 hard reached within near day, may be 3 months again.

Holding the coin for the long term is what you can do at the moment and the price do recover in a couple of months ,but with the battle outside it is really hard to predict what is going on with the price,but it does hover around the $900 to $1000 valuation and a couple of positive news will spike the price above $1500.

Since the price has started the decrease a bit I believe the price would have to wait around Christmas to hit that value, because usually around new year and Christmas the price suddenly increases and then stays there for some time at the very least.

Exactly even I am witnessing the same since last few years that price goes higher at the end of the year and lets hope that trend continues even in this year so I think 1500 price is possible to be achieve in the end of the year and not possible before that unless there is some really good news coming up.

We know that when Christmas is coming a lot of people has enough money for buying out bitcoins. But I guess the price will even reach back close to $1,500. Anything is possible with bitcoin and it can even touch that price before the end of the year and if not then it may even take more couple of years to touch that price as bitcoin is an unpredictable business so its better not to think much and looking at the price movement take your decisions that can give you best results.

$1500 isn't too high a target actually. I am almost certain that by the end of the year we would have reached that price already. Right now, there is just so much FUD that keeps bringing the price down, but I somehow feel that everything will be ok come the third quarter and another surge is coming towards yearend.

Well yeah that's our primary concern for now but the price seems to be tallying $960-$990+. I hope it's going to be back when April comes in and it will be good if it will come back to $1,000 first and it will be stable again. Once we will that price again, it will be a relief to all of us. Now somewhat more tough bitcoin increased by $1,500 because it suddenly dropped too far and actually recover it. Maybe also increases to $1,500 but not now wait a little more before they reach that amount. Thats why they said Patience is virtue.

The price usually goes up during the holidays but there seems to be, at least at the moment and effort to keep the price of bitcoin low since there a lot of rumors that are fake regarding a fork and it is very transparent to me that this is a concerted strategy.

It depends on how the hard-fork is resolved we had a nice push so it may stabilize for now.
I do have a betmoose bet that it will pass 1600 USD by the end of the year so I would like to see some good action near the resolution date at the end of the year if it goes up to that price myself  ;D

That price is not out of the question, but to tell the truth the FUD that spread the rumor there was going to be a hard fork is still lingering around the forum and to be honest as long there is that possibility I think the price of bitcoin is not going to go up that much.

I predicted that the end of this year the price of bitcoin can reach 1500USD. assuming that in this year the development of bitcoin users is growing. and provided it's not there an incident such as the hacking of the website online wallet. because it will change all circumstances very quickly.

On rational estimates, assuming no big hacks or general bad news, I think it will reach a peak of $1,350 and go as low as $540. Don’t ask me why. I’ve been following the price for a long time, and it comes down as intuitive to me to predict these numbers, I myself don’t know exactly why, but it has to do with its high volatility which is decreasing.

I do believe that 2017 will be a strong year for Bitcoin and we should reach $2000 by Christmas time. We should cross $1500 a  couple of months before that.

If the threat of hard fork eliminates in next 2 months then we shall see slow increase from $1100 but that really depends on how fast difficulty increases as well and given the nature of bitcoin mining which requires miners to add ASICs to their farms nonstop fortunately there is no room for difficulty not to increase. somewhere between 4 up to 8 months price will reach $1500 hopefully.

I think such price 1500$ will be seen not once during the year. I expect to see 2000$ per 1 BTC as minimum.

Is there any indication that Bitcoin will reach $1500 this summer?  Or is this a wild speculation?  As far as I can see the price, Bitcoin seems to have recovered partially but is having a hard time getting back to $1200.  We have been in this range for some days now.  The incoming rumored of hardfork, the ETFs rejection, all seems a downfall in price to me. I guess $1500  Bitcoin won't be seen this year (I hope I am wrong though). 

Bitcoin definitely has a potential to achieve that price in future but no one knows when exactly it will happen and price is rising slowly at a moment but to see the price of $1500 I think we have to wait for a long time and if there is any bad news in coming months then price can even crash which can take long time to recover.

Winter of 2017, it might as well drop to $500 if BU does a hard fork before summer is over.

I don't think we will see that price in this year as price is still at $1100 and if the issue of BU goes into negative direction then surely we will witness a big crash in the price of bitcoins and it can again fall back to $800 so only time can tell us what will exactly happen in future.

Yeah people generally gets carried away with the negative news and starts dumping their coins and big whales starts taking advantage of it by buying coins at lower price and now I don't think price will fall back and we will soon much higher price of bitcoins.

The fact if the FUD still exist right now. Or they're too late for grab cheap coin. But looks like the japan decision to accept bitcoin will become another big thing in the future and it will push the price around $1200 asap in my mind.

I really hope you are right and I hope that nothing will ever stop japan now in accepting bitcoin since if there was some kind of factor that will stop them from recognizing bitcoin, I think it might not have that bad of an effect but bitcoin will be dumped a little. If they were to accept bitcoin though, it will push the price not only around 1200$ in my opinion but they will push it to new all time highs in my opinion because Japan will be a great example to other nations that bitcoin is safe to use, thus will open the door to bitcoin's acceptance to many countries.

December is way too far away, and $1500 is such a small rise for bitcoin. or maybe you have forgotten that bitcoin price was $420 last year this time and was $220 the year before that.

I would say December is too far away, but there are still a lot of frictions within the bitcoin community that may make the price keep dipping and rising around low 100's to mid 1300's, so we are going to take some until we can finally break $1500 then $2000. We are yet to see how the segwit situation resolves. I think until then LTC is a good one to hold.

This is not what we should be focusing right now but the politics that is hindering bitcoin to push forward. If that is all resolved, $1500 is too small. Bitcoin will be worth way more than that. If they just put behind the politics, even 2000 or 3000 can be easily achieved this year.

But the problem is can we do something about it?  I guess no, all we can do is to wait. Unless you are one of the lead developer of either of the camp, then you can do something about it. I felt a definite price for $ 1500, is at the end of the year. I am so sure, bitcoin prices at the end of 2017 will reach $ 1,500 or be on top of it. I am sure, rapid price increases will begin in August to come.

It's funny to see how optimistic people get when the price goes up, and how they suddenly change into doom thinkers when the price starts falling down. I can't really see the price go over $1500 as long as Bitcoin isn't scaling. It's an important aspect that needs to get dealt with in order to really move forward. As long as Bitcoin isn't scaling, the market will remain in the same position as it is right now. It will continue to go up and down within a certain range.

I don't see a possibility for Bitcoins to go anywhere unless the BTC-BTU conflict gets resolved in a complete manner and gets everything decided in favor of SegWit... Yes. This scaling drama has somewhat impede the progress of bitcoin market price, although the current price is still good IMHO. But if the scaling issue should be resolved immediately, $1500 can be achieved before the end of the year. Unfortunately, we need to wait whether the scaling debate will be implemented this year or not.

Generally when the price goes down is actually when I get optimistic because I'm not really holding enough coins yet to be comfortable with the price going much higher but I do think it will in a few months. 

Even without scaling the price can still go up due to Bitcoin's usefulness in large transactions and investors beginning to store money in it for its deflationary properties.

I think reaching $1500 by July isn't that hard but keep having above this value seems to be a little bit difficult, would say by the next year +$1500 as a base value is easy to have.

That's indeed a major problem. It's actually such a problem, that it is heavily contributing to the volatility that we're experiencing from time to time. People here are spoiled when it comes to pumps and dumps, and are basically expecting all kinds of things to happen within such a short period of time, and that time on time again. If nothing is happening, you'll see threads pop up asking what the reason is for the price to not move up further, and all other bla bla that comes with it. If you look at stocks or other non Bitcoin related investment options, then people are happy to make gains like 5-10% per year! Here if you say that you make like 10% per month, then people are just okay with it since it's nothing special... 1 month is peanuts, it's dust, nothing, nada - It's a mentality thing that needs to change.

there's no specific time when it will occur we can make a speculation whether it will reach $1500 in a few months or so but bitcoin seems always making a surprise sometimes the price will be either increased or decreased this instances is happening in a time that we do not expect very often . To my opinion not that soon. Recently Bitcoin has survived successfully some bad moments and price has recovered fast. But I think it will stay for a while in the range of 1000$ to 1200$ and the price of 1500$ we could maybe expect some time next year if everything goes well in between.

under my critical observation i speculate 3-4 months time with the pump trend, hopefully.

540 is too low of a price for bitcoin even if there was a hack I don’t think we are going to reach such a low price in the year, the only way that I can see that happening is if there is a fork,  and personally I don’t see that happening either but at the same time I don’t see bitcoin gaining more value than the all time highs we reached.

In February It touched 1300$ around and hard fork was been happened in the price chart. Then price dump back to 950$. Again bitcoin price is pulling back to peak value. These shows, bitcoin is fluctuating always. To set the next peak value in bitcoin, we need more adoptions as well supply and demand rate should go higher.

Well as i can see the movement of bitcoin price right now is very fast unlike before the movement it takes few months to see the high price increase unlike now You can notice right now the movement is few days that the price came back from high position..

A nice push could easily get up up to 1500 no matter how long that price holds. Price could easily get there this year assuming nothing too horrible happens, which most likely won't be the case. FUD affects the markets so much nowadays but holding in my opinion will still be the best way to go if you have Bitcoin or are looking to make profit with them easily.

That's a benefit for us the Bitcoin holder because Bitcoin's price keep increasing every year and also there are short pump if there are any good news regarding Bitcoin. Also with recent big news, Japan accepted Bitcoin in their stores so slow but sure the price will up.

As we're now staying above $1200 we are much near to the $1500 tag. If there is some special occasion similar to halving or something else we can predict the time zone within which we can reach the targeted price. Right now believe the gradual move takes time and reaches within few months time considering segwit signalling as a main event.

While that is true as the value of bitcoin goes up the more difficult becomes to double its price if the value of bitcoin was 10 dollars then it would be a lot easier for the price to double than it is at the 1200 price so I would not expect a doubling of th price in just 8 months.

I doubt Bitcoin will reach the 1500$ mark this year. Specially with segwit, bitcoin ublimited debates, ect. Maybe for some days but it won't last long. I believe the max it will reach for this year will be around $1300-1400 but not more. This forecast seems more correct to me, because this year is not the best for bitcoin. There was a big panic and you need time for growth.

I reckon somewhere in the later half of this year, maybe around October or November.  The price is going to keep going up and it would be reasonable to expect it to keep going past that in the years to come.

That is surely possible to touch that price at that time and even if it doesn't get there then most probably we can expect that price at the time of Christmas or in the first week of January as generally price goes higher in the end of the year.

Don’t underestimate speculators the usability of bitcoin as a currency has been slowly degrading for some time and that has not stopped the price to reach new all time highs so I will not be surprised if the price reached even higher prices despite the fact nothing has been done to address those issues.

Both Latreetim and you are correct in your concerns. According to Latreetim, we need to gets things resolved and yours is true too that speculators may take it to even higher levels. But this is currently a more stable market than volatile, and to see such volatility back, we need those problems solved completely, so that even investors, with speculators will come ahead to take prices to a whole new level. But still, 1500 is a long way to go yet as even "pumping" $250 takes a few millions to make it happen.

The effect depends on the severity of the bad press.  If the Bad press is the usual PBOC regulation routine then probably it will not affect Bitcoin price since Bitcoin holders had developed immunity  to that news.  But if the bad press is about bitcoin scalability involving several exchanges and other big "names"  in the industry then it will greatly affect the trust of people to Bitcoin.  Though I always think $1500 Bitcoin is possible at the end of this year.

I don't even think that $1,500 is a major target. We have achieved $1,000, and the next major target should be either $2,000 or $2,500. And we may achieve it by the end of this year (2017).

There are so many variables right now, nobody can tell when we reach a certain price.
We have the blocksize problem, an increasing involvment of investors into altcoins, problems at exchanges and so on.
Each of those factors can influence bitcoin price in a big matter.

I understand your point, but reaching an all time high is what I consider to be a major target - especially in current circumstances where the all time high is an artificially created peak due to the ETF (which directly after that got rejected, and thus the price reacted in a negative manner briefly). Other than that, I can't see the price reach levels close to $2000 (or even higher) as long as Bitcoin isn't scaling. It's not a matter of 'sure we'll implement larger blocks at some point, relax'. It's a matter of ASAP!

Yes maybe you are right. Most of us were speculating that the price will go above 2000$ or even 2500$ with the growth in the q1. But now the price seems that it has literally stopped. We can expect 1500$ by end of this year.

That's wholesomely realistic I'd say. I can see something like that be possible, as long as the market continues to be comfy and grows in the same way it has been. The only issue I can see is that the market gets hesitant in the mid $1.2k's, as we've seen just a few months ago. The tracking and market didn't seem to want the value going up too high.

Few weeks back when we were expecting for the ETF, it's been said that the price will move above $3000 if it gets etf approval, but things went in the opposite way. Don't move forward too quickly with such assumptions. Bitcoin has proven to do exactly that what people don't expect. Bitcoin started growing from when it was 600$ and quickly become 900$. After that in months and some days we achieved 1100, 1200, than we had small fall and price become 900 but that was "small" fall. Price quickly become 1100-1150 and as we see now, we have achieved 1300 and over. I don’t know it is possible a crash in the price is coming if the situation in Bitfinex does not get resolved if nothing bad happened I will agree with you, but I think there are too many things that could go wrong for the price to get at that point in this year.

But seeing the $1400 value I think was the indicator if it will sky rocket to the moon and Bitcoin price is now testing the $1400 mark it can go back to the short-term channel support at $1375 for a quick pullback to draw more buyer, because of a bounce off this near term support it could lead to another resistance or even a break higher for a steeper climb. 1300? You must be stuck in the past for we just nearly hit 1500 just now. There's no telling how much the price could fall due to China, but that's unlikely and the more likely thing is that we will continue on an upwards trend like we have been in for the last few months.

It seems the news about Japan adoption keeps pushing Bitcoin price, and I think it will keep on pushing.  I read there are major company in Japan that wants to venture in Bitcoin and will definitely bring in Billion of dollars of new funds.  Aside from that, Japan also removed the consumption tax to Bitcoin so people will not be charged whenever they are using Bitcoin / buying or selling them making adoption in that country faster. This news will more likely hype the speculative market and will definitely reach $1500 before the end of May, and it seems it almost touch it @ $1499 bitcoin price today.  

Well its your loss if you sell your coins for this time since i really think this rally will continue untill it reaches its another milestone remember mate japans adoption for this coin is pretty huge factor for this one thats why i can say that its still possible for us to earn more if we hold our coins for more days or months just make sure you are attaintive enough to watch if theirs anything flaws to avoid some bad lose if dumping will start.

There are already more threads about bitcoin reaching 2000$, and we pretty much should move our discussion in there, I think that is a better idea.

On the other hand, we can still have a correction that will lead price down, to the 1300-1350$ levels, bitcoin doesn't have to reach 1500$ in next 3 days necessarily. We still may see some strange, unexpected moves on the charts.

i think it will go higher than $1500 , they said that bitcoin price will grow as much as $2000 at the end of the year, i believe that this would be happen and in that case we will be rich if we have stored it and cannot spend it for a while.

If current trends continue, I can easily see $2000 by the 4th of July. However, it's hard to know if there is going to be a big crash anytime soon or not. The price has been steadily climbing which is good, but you never know what is going to happen tomorrow

Bitcoin just breached $1,700 a few minutes ago. Good times are back again for Bitcoin traders and holders. I once saw an article someone predicting that Bitcoin price is going to $5,000 I forgot who wrote the article and what site it was published and looking at the sudden increase of Bitcoin price, it seems that it's going to that direction.

Wow, was I way off base on this prediction. Unless we retrace from here, of course.

What an awesome  thing to hear and we now certainly surpassed the challenges and struggles that we've encountered from a dream od $1500. Hopefully we are going to $2000 dollars and even better up to $3000 for next years price, because the current bitcoin price now at $1700 is really showing better performance compared from previous months. With this records I guess many will be investing and other who holds for a long time is now gainig their good harvest of profit while the price now is very healthy.

At the beginning of this year I though that for bitcoin to reach that amount of money I thought we will need several years but bitcoin does not seem to slow down its meteoric rise, I wonder, how much higher bitcoin will go in the next years?

Yes I agree, this is a trend that cannot be stopped, the performance of the bitcoin has crossed the line normally, old user bitcoin hold and new users buy bitcoin while limited stock so that prices are not controlled.

Yeah i believe bitcoin price can reach $2000 this year probably on the third quarter if this rally continues.  There are lots of factor that will affect the price to move forward.  The major company in japan that is about to participate in bitcoin economy, and it is not a single company but 18 that is inline for the license approval.  If they are successful in getting or processing the documents this year, there is no doubt another billion of dollar will come in to bitcoin market.

This is a mistake, trends change all the time, bitcoin is in a good trend but that could change any minute if bad news come to us and people believe it, so it is always a good idea to be ready for whatever it may happen to bitcoin.

We've been forming a cup and handle and the handle part is now here. Drops were expected by a lot of people and indeed it's happened. This is a little bit of a correction but it doesn't mean we're going back down to the 1000s, if anything we've already seen what price can do. Imagine what'll happen later in the year after this blocksize debate and assorted bad news, we'll be back up in no time. Taken substantial losses? Sell a little bit and HODL. Hasn't failed for any good HODLer yet to date.

What happens with bitcoin is always unpredictable. In reality the price has started to decline from the ATH. Now trailing around $1650. Based on the ongoing trend we might soon experience $1500 if the resistance for a forward move is not retained back.

Bitcoin price is already reach that amount and yet, it is already exceeded. Bitcoin's price is still rising so it is not far from it to reach 2000 usd per bitcoin within this year.

This week it already reach that amount ,it can make it bigger as the days approaching to reach greater than 2000 ,it really amazed me since I started less than half the amount of it now.

That is so amazing to hear and it really showed up the highest appreciation from us who are people trusted bitcoin despite of all the challenging price fluctuations. The $1500 had happened already and because of the wonderful bitcoin price trend on the market, that's not impossible to reach the $2000 dream of many of us here. Of course no one can deny their emotions if talking about bitcoin price, because bitcoin price will really matter in exchange of fiat cash which has a bigger impact to our needs for money.

We can't foretell the future but as of now bitcoin price is at $1800; it hasn't been midyear yet so if you say it is impossible for bitcoin to reach more than $2000 then well see about that in the next few months.

To date, really very strong forecasts for the future of Bitcoin and its price. Of course $ 2,000 for 1 was forecasted as early as the beginning of the year and most likely these predictions will come true in the middle of summer.

Spot on, for the time being we are not going to be seeing a price like 1500 as prices keep going uphill favored by a low supply of bitcoins available

on the market against the money coming in...current conditions will keep pushing prices up.

I have the same feeling and now that Australia is about to enter the game too, I think  we are in for $3000 Bitcoin at the end of 2017.  All those who are wishing to buy at 3 digits better change their plan since I do not think Bitcoin will touch those 3 digits again for a very long time.

3 digits price is history now and we will never see that low price in future so if you are waiting to buy bitcoins at that price then you will surely waste your time as price is expected to go higher in coming days and I won't be surprised if it touches $2k price in next few months.

Sure i am late in this thread, but bitcoin can't late in the price achievement, and we have a proof to see that bitcoin cross $1500.
Mostly people think that it is hard to cross and time taking, but bitcoin give us surprisingly good news very hurry, even i see bitcoin has been crossed $1888.

It touched that price few days back and now again trading around $1700 which is also an good price to hold and we may see price touching $2k in next few months so I don't think that price will go below $1700 level now and will keep on getting higher in coming months.

From the ATH it has started to drop in value. Now this has gone below $1700 in most of the exchange websites. If the drop continues once again we might touch $1500 within weeks and the pumping once again initiates after gaining resistance. We can hope for $2000 by this year end.

I don’t know if the forecast of bitcoin to reach 2000 dollars will become a reality in the middle of the summer I think it is more likely that happens at the end of the year when bitcoin has a very strong tendency to go up for some reason.

Well yeah I think so. It will be hard to reach to $2000 by the mid of the summer because of the recent crash to the price I agree that by the end of this year it will reach to the price of $2000 and maybe earlier than it if some major developments in the adoption of the BTC occurred.
