Title: Bitcoin book proposal ACCEPTED - Looking for co-authors
Post by: aantonop on April 22, 2013, 07:59:15 PM
I am preparing a proposal for John Wiley and Sons publishing company (publishers of the "for Dummies" series), for a "Bitcoin for Dummies" book.

UPDATE: Doing a more technical book instead for developers and integrators.

I am an experienced author and editor, have edited an O'Reilly book and written hundreds of articles and columns.

I am seeking co-authors, co-editors and general proposal-writing assistance to prepare a detailed proposal for the book.

There will be an immediate commitment of time to writing the proposal, with no guarantee of success. However, if the initial proposal is not successful, I intend to "shop around" with other publishers. The goal is to publish in less than 6 months.

If you have technical writing experience, have published a book, or are an editor, please contact me via PM

Title: Book Proposal - Publishers interested
Post by: aantonop on May 06, 2013, 08:17:02 PM
The book proposal has changed, to be more of a technical book, for developers and integrators, as well as power-users. The proposal was submitted to publishers last week. Several of them expressed interest, most notably one of the "big three" in technical publishing.

Basically, this book is going to be published, now it is only a matter of time and details...

The next stage is market size research for the audience.

Specifically, the publisher wants to get a better idea of the estimated audience, how many developers, integrators, business startups, merchants/retailers are out there.

Any suggestions and assistance would be much appreciated.
