It's actually quite fair for a liberal paper that has Krugman on staff. The media brings giant waves of attention and speculation. When the water recedes, an enormous amount of destruction is left with newcomers hurting financially. The bitcoin community picks them up, shows them the ropes; before they know it they are back in profit and helping with the next wave of people. Anyone see that movie The Impossible? They all know about Bitcoin now, but have only just become aware and truly interested recently. |
