There is a problem with receiving dash using their wallet service.
I was notified when I opened it this morning being March 29th.
So it must of just been realized of this issue by their support system.
It shouldn't affect any further incoming transactions I would stress to guess. :-\

They are definitely having issues with their wallet.
I received another notification similar to the one about dash a few days ago but this one was concerning the problem they are having with Ethereum classic and users of the client not being able to receive ETC to it currently until further notice.

Apple would only allow the coins approved in its App Store. Apple only approved BTC, ETH, DAO, Ripple, Doge and Litecoin. For Jaxx they asked to remove Dash from our iOS (tablet & mobile) versions. They are still accepting Dash?

I transferred some ETC from CCEX to JAXX just now and received them in less than a minute. There was an update for ios 2 days ago if I remember correctly. All the wallets had to re-initialize. When that was done, all my funds were intact and the send/receive functions worked fine on my device as well. But thanks for sharing about the ETC notice, will observe how transactions go on my device.

For ios, no dash there. The wallets are just btc, eth, etc, rep, ltc, and rsk  :)

I like this Jaxx wallet they are a very innovative wallet,so far this is the only wallet I've known that can accept multiple currency something other desktop wallets do not have,I will use this wallet looks safer than other online bitcoin wallet.

I've tried Exodus and like how their multicurrency wallet looks but Exodus' fees are way too much. So I settled with Jaxx.

I believe you are able to adjust the fees which are applied to your sent amounts manually.
It just takes a bit of tweaking.

It did notice this too. They charge a large transaction fee for sending out bitcoin. The others I think are the normal fees. I am thinking they are doing this to compensate themselves for the high fees the miners are asking for each and every transaction upto a $1.60 for one I did earlier in the week. But I do think they do this so the transaction does get eventually get confirmed and not just stuck on the blockchain like I had for 10 hours the other day when sending from my Electrum wallet with a 54sat k/B miner's fee applied.
I know ::) but I did try and accelerate it almost 7 times before I just gave up.

Last nite I sent 8 bitcoin from Xapo and it cost $2.80 its not the wallets fault its the miners. That why we need bigger blocks so miners can't pick and choose.
8 days later still no dash going into my account Jaxx is useless and no reply from support.Have they a thread here

At least their website apologizes: https://decentral.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005392368-DASH-Issues

I'm glad I'm not the only one.  It'd sure be nice to have sold that DASH over $65, which was my intention. I think it's a cool app, but would like to see additional options such as charts and the ability to self-regulate your own fee.  Sometimes I still send a $0 tx fee with BTC if I don't care if it arrives in a timely manner.

I'd like my DASH. I thought it was really cool, but this left a taste of uncertainty.

EDIT: AFter submitting a claim they write, "Please note that we are experiencing intermittent downtimes with Dash while we continue our upgrades. We apologize for this inconvenience. If you're seeing a balance discrepancy, you most likely are running v. 1.1.7. Please update to our latest version 1.2.4 at Jaxx.io!"

Do they have access to the keys or are they specific to Jaxx? I don't really understand how that all works.  I mostly run Core programs, except w/ BTC.

Zcash is in the Apple App Store Jaxx Blockchain Wallet, this app is an interface of the site with the same name jaxx.io which basically is a portfolio of multi-crypto coins. With this now anyone with an Apple smartphone can send, receive and store a cryptomoeda with privacy on their device. This is a significant move by Apple, which has always maintained a reluctant position to have its devices associated with the privacy of centralized cryptocoins, such as Dash.

Dash on the blink again for me

I keep any DASH on the full node and usually don't keep it long.

JAXX works better on Android than Apple.  I was surprised at all of the additional features on Android.

stay away from them, they charge you 0.021 of BTC fee

You can adjust them within the application, but only to "low","medium" and "high". I'm pretty sure their business model is recommended fee, plus a small percentage of satoshi for themselves.  Also, I'm sure you mean 0.0021 BTC.  That's still too much for regular use.  If you shapeshift within the app to LTC and then transfer, to another Shapeshift, you can get low fees by using the Litecoin network.

High fees are why we need larger blocks because they can fit more transactions per block.

we wouldn't discreetly know but seems like they don't have the access to our private keys other than ourselves as  they have declared not to help anyone that loses their jaxx backup phrase.

Anyone out there that can help?

Just started using Jaxx browser extension.  It works fine on my desktop on Windows 7 in Yandex browser.
But it's a no go on my Netbook ruining Linux 32bit lubuntu with the Chromium browser.  The app opens but the bottom of the Jaxx window is off the screen so i cant click "accept" to get the thing going and pair up with my desktop.

I got it going in firefox on the Netbook ruining Linux 32bit lubuntu but I don't like firefox. It's too clunky and slow. I need a lite browser and Chromium is the biz. I dont want to have to run firefox as well Chromium.

I understand Jaxx was made for Chrome but Google only make a 64bit Chrome for linux, no 32bit.

Both Yandex, Chrome, Brave to name but a few, are clones of the open source project "Chromium" so they should all run Jaxx ok.   But they don't.

Any ideas anyone (that does not involve using Google or Windows products)
Also i don't want to use Brave nore support ICOs like BATs

Thanks

My friend had the same problem with jaxx multiple wallet when receiving dash coins. We couldn't find a real solution. Once I checked this topic, I've seen more people facing the same problem. We don't know what to do.

Is it possible to have the Windows desktop version of Jaxx running completely portable?
In another words that save any data/metadata alongside the executable (or in a specified location)..
I notice that Jaxx create a new folder in the Appdata of the pc....so i think that it is not completely portable...
I'am searching for a wallet multicurrency that works also in a pendrive
There is a release of Electrum that does that...but only for bitcoins...
Thanks to all..

I am attempting to transfer 2100GNT from Jaxx to Exodus and it lands in Exodus as .000000000000000002.

Any idea why this is happening? It means I can't move my GNT out of Jaxx. I think I am going to try to move them back to the exchange and then send to Exodus. Will post if that works.

Any ideas appreciated...

If anyone is still reading this thread and cares about my little Golem, I was able to move GNT back to Polo out of Jaxx. I should now be able to move it to Exodus.

There is a long thread on Reddit about this problem, along with widespread unhappiness with customer support at Jaxx. It's generally not ok to keep sending out all those canned irrelevant responses if you want to keep your users happy.

I know things are crazy these days in the crypto world; but, without users...

There is this dude, Teeka Tiwari at Palm Beach Confidential, an investment advisor, who has gotten all excited about cryptos. He has really tried to push people to just invest in this new thing, which is great.

But, he gets lots of feedback about his recommendations, mainly the Jaxx Wallet. I will post here his response to peoples concern about this way to store coins -

"Probably the biggest question we’ve been getting is that there have been some reports in the press that Jaxx Wallet got hacked and users were robbed of $400,000 worth of digital currency. So we’ve received many, many emails and phone calls about this.
So I have a personal relationship with the CEO of Decentral, which is the company that created the Jaxx Wallet, and that man’s name is Anthony Di Iorio. He is one of the founders of Ethereum. He was actually the guy that provided the funding to bootstrap Ethereum.
So I called Anthony up in Toronto, and he and I chatted, and we talked about what’s actually going on. So the issue here is not a vulnerability within the Jaxx code; the issue here is really a vulnerability in the way that people are managing their devices.
So Jaxx is being accused of having security vulnerabilities, but it would be the equivalent of someone hacking your computer, going into your area where you have your passwords, finding the password to your bank account, and then pulling money out of your bank account. Is that the fault of the bank or is that the fault of the person who didn’t secure their computer properly, right?
So the key here is that you must secure your devices. If you have Jaxx on a desktop, you got to make sure that you’re secure. Make sure that you use a really reputable antivirus program. Make sure you use a really reputable sweeper to sweep for malware to make sure you don’t have any key loggers or anything like that. So it doesn’t matter whether you have Jaxx on your computer or you have Wells Fargo on your computer. If somebody gets access to your computer, they can get access to your emails, they can get access to your passwords, they can get access to your money.
The same is true with your phone. You know if you are using the Jaxx Wallet on your phone, okay, you’ve got to make sure that your phone is password-protected. You should encrypt your phone. You should—if you have the ability to have a thumbprint—you should make sure that you have that thumbprint turned on. In the Jaxx Wallet itself, they have an area where you can punch in a code before anybody can access the wallet or before any money can be sent from the wallet. Make sure that you take care of that.
The bottom line is if you have a Jaxx Wallet on your phone and you don’t have a code on it and you lose it, it’s the same as if you’re walking down the street with thousands of dollars in your wallet and your wallet falls out of your pocket. It’s the same exact thing."

Of course, he is right in theory. BUT, the problem that people have with this wallet is that the 4-digit PIN is very hackable and Jaxx will not do anything about this, instead blaming it on the weakest link in this chain, the noobie user. So, here's a guy who is undoubtedly aligned somehow with the developer who is choosing to ignore the problem. So, like everything else in life, BE CAREFUL!
