What would u do if you were in the stock market at the early rising stage? Similar concept with our Crypto Market now :)

=> I would invest in buying shares of penny companies with Cheap Price, Good Product, Unique Idea, Potential Future Value, Strong Foundation of Leadership & Management. This is what I believe with RIPPLE company, their products & leadership. 5 to 10 years from now, the one that survive & booming is RIPPLE :)

=> We are in the new ERA of the early rising stage of Digital Currencies just like Stock Market has started years ago. It's similar concept & fundamental of investing. Most of people who get rich at that time is to buy Penny Stocks with big potential value & strong foundation companies & hold it.

=> For Long-Term Investors: RIPPLE & ETHEREUM & maybe some others in the top 5 (80% Fundamental Analysis, 20% Technical)
    For Short-Term Investors: Using 80% Technical Analysis, 20% Fundamental with other coins & just pump & dump :)

XRP was unable to make a breakthrough in the recent years, even when a few smaller banks (like Fidor Bank in Germany) started using it. So why it would make it now or in the near future, when plenty of technologically more advanced coins are out in the wild?

Now that Ripple's just been pumped, it's not as good an idea to invest anymore.  That kind of instant growth isn't sustainable.

Price might still go up, no news has been published on any major website yet about recent announcements.

It's possible that people are moving money from Bitcoin, Dash, and Etherium and moving it into a cheaper coin. Those other 3 have made big gains and some people may be taking profits and finding coins that have potential to grow more.

That's fine but this isn't anything new. Also XRP isn't the Ripple network itself. Just one IOU what running on it, so the growing adoption of Ripple network not necessary means a big jump in XRP prices. Actually the cheaper XRP means lower transaction costs, therefore it's more attractive for their user base.

XRP is not an IOU (with counterparty risk associated to a gateway), it's the native digital asset of the Ripple network with no counterparty risk. You can see on Ripple website they're looking to actively promote it "Ripple is looking for a Director of XRP Markets".

it is possible, but how about some more decent altcoin of XRP?, and possibly OP can describe the fundamental analysis in this thread, see XRP so rigid, and has a flat ride.

I was going to say this too, if you invest now be prepared to dump fast otherwise you'll loose money.

47+ banks in japan signed up for a pilot program utilizing ripple's consensus ledger, many more in asia are coming on board (5 more banks in canada are on board too). ripple is also a google backed digital asset... regardless of how you feel about it as a "currency", it has a lot of potential.

mcKinsey & co estimates that by 2020 the global payments industry will generate an estimated $400 billion more in annual revenue than in 2016. read more in their global payment report (for 2016). i feel like most people forget that from a banking standpoint, banks process hundreds of thousands (millions) of transactions daily... ripple's market cap makes sense given the industry they're in.

Is this still worth investing in? I would get in for a little.. not so much. Price seems reasonable for a first time investor in this world.

For the financial transaction.

Some financial transactions with the advantage of internet protocol:
Payments are cheaper because the Ripple is not owned by anyone.
Payments faster. Because transactions are automated, the Ripple of payment can be fully resolved in a matter of seconds
Finances are within easy reach. Because Ripple only requires an internet connection. He could provide financial services to billions of people a relic not affordable by the bank.

It's already #3 in market cap, so unless you think it will overtake BTC & ETH, idk..

ripple has always been in the top 5 or worst days top 10 altcoin in marketcap ranking system even when the price was 800 satoshi and lower.
and it has always been a useless altcoin.

what you don't realize is that ripple and coins like ethereum are only up there because they have a very huge supply. so it really doesn't matter if ripple is worth 10 satoshi or 10000 satoshi, it will still be up there because they will release a couple of billion coins if it drops down lower to keep it up.

but that doesn't make it a good investment...

I am seeing speculation about ripple from long back may be last 2 months even I invested on that but not seeing any profit . I hope there will be huge pumping in near future otherwise I will sell for loss .

We are still in a very new market and no where near mainstream adoption.  Sure we have had more publicity recently, but the average person on the street knows little to nothing about cryptocurrencies, just watch their eyes glaze over when you mention Bitcoin.

Its never good to sell your coins for a loss unless your coin is just stagnating and you see a good opportunity to jump into another coin that's about to take off.  If you're actively trading, then you can always sell after a big rally upwards (if there's been no major news to drive the price up) then buy back when the price dips down again.

Ultimately, if you're in a coin for the long term and you've done your research you shouldn't be worried when the price of a coin dips down, especially after a big move upwards, it just creates nice support levels for the future when the market takes off again.

I don't think the pump is over. In the long term it will go up to $1 dollar. There is minimal downside from here but the ROI might not as great as other Alt coins.

20 billion for what? I don't ever seen the market cap of ripple touch 20 billion. But looks the right time to invest in the top 20 coinmarketcap already gone. This time it just like another penny. since the big bad news already appeared to make every one scared to buy ripple.

How to invest at XRP ?

Best way would be to buy some bitcoins and trade them on poloniex, and while you are at it buy a few other cryptos to hedge your bets.  All Cryptos are on sale at the moment.  The market needed a break after the massive gains we've seen over the previous months.

It is always a good time to buy ripple, because the banks will always buy more ripple when they see other banks doing so too. But if one bank dumps, other banks could dump too. dangerous stuff

Well with enough money they can control the markets, you can see some big players moving the price of bitcoin and Etherium around with buy and sell bots.  Its against the whole spirit of crypto to be over regulated by governments but on the other hand, without regulation, large financial institutions are free to do what they want.  I am not advocating tighter regulations, but the market is at the mercy of people with the cash to throw at it and play on peoples emotions for profit.

XRP is considered t have a very low price now,
it was 0.4 usd at its peak couple months ago, it is far lower now.
I could expect it would jump.

I think when Bitcoin stops consolidating and gains strength again other coins will start pumping.  The price is low enough again for people to pick up some cheap XRP and start the train moving again, so just keep an eye on the total market cap of crypto.

do not lose fait! XRP prices are going to have a lot of up and down cicles, like every crypto do, simply try ti maximize selling on top and buy low

Ripple is very good investment as you look at their website they want to hire lots of people.

It s always good to buy a coin that is backed by real application.
It is backed by big bank,
back by proven tech algo.

What else?

The future of Ripple completely depends on the banks, which kinda goes the opposite way of bitcoin and other coins intentions.

If large European and american banks use it, as well as the XRP that is currently used as a payment method, then xrp should rise. But its all a risk and a gamble.

risk and big gamble but it happen before from 300 sat to 16k sat within 3 months of span not sure if I remember it correctly the time this thread has been open those who followed and hold till now already makes a big earnings and for sure big investors also gain millions coming from this project.

Ripple should be kept for long term because of all the accusations against it but trading ripple for short-term is the beat thing to do as price of ripple had also fell but unfortunately is now growing which may not result in much profit or even a loss. Just remember always only trade ripple and for short term.

Ripples idea is opposite Bitcoins.
Long term only either Bitcoins Blockchain tech or Ripples database tech can survive. Both can not go the distance because blockchain tech does away with banks and many other industries (land registers, notary, Gambling, Voting, Car leasing, Real estate,.......). What i need a bank when i can take care of my own finances. This applies to private people as well as corporations.  Banks will follow dinosaurs path.

Hopefully it'll get people from mainsteam into the whole cryptocurrancy scene from another market.  Most people diversify to some extent after they buy cryptos.  That's assuming they buy through an exchange.  But even then, I heard that you don't even have to use the ripple token on the ripple network, so another token could end up becoming the main choice for banks.  Can anyone confirm this?

i think ripple is centralized currency so there are many application of using it. like it can be used in banks for money transfer. online portal for money exchange can be change by just using ripple. money laundering can be minimized to zero as it is centralized.
also there are lots of Ripple wallets (http://coinraja.com/best-ripple-xrp-wallets/) so storing XRP is easy job. ::) ::)

For me it is a good time to invest in ripple now. Why? Because ripple had gone down already. There is no other way to go next time but to go up. Like other coins, ripple is also affected by FUD, but when its over it will fly to the moon.

Fiat and xrp have the same 2%+ inflation rate for ever. why would any sane person become a voluntary slave.

There is no way that we can deny the worth of the ripple as this is something very much different from rest of the crypto coins and that its demand in the international market is also increasing at a very much significant rate. Yes, now is a good time to invest in ripple. Ripple's decline is not very big in the red market, but maybe this is the best opportunity to buy Rippe this year. When the market turns green again, your profit margin is also will fall.

the ripple coin is actually a contender to the bitcoin and that means that if the value of bitcoin is depreciating then the investment is going to ripple and when that happens the price of ripple will increase so it's a good item to invest in ripple

I support your viewpoint. I would invest ripple if its price was $0.1. And I would sell it at price $0.3. Because Ripple is overvalued.
