Its rebounding, up nearly  $10 in the past hour. I wouldn't be surprised to see 2017 ending with bitcoins nearing $1500 a piece.

It will break through $1100, and I think it will also break its record in a month. Bitcoin overcome the the problem and the fork, debate about the scaling solutions. With the bitcoin's price slided down, many users starts to panicked and converting their Bitcoins believing that there will be a fork that will happen. But the other users invest to bitcoin and took advantage of the low price of bitcoin.

1150 boys! Seems you've posted at the wrong time since we've just started to go back up again. BU is losing ground and people are finally realizing this and together with the price increase hopefully this BTC-BTU debate will end. 2017 isn't halfway through yet, remember that!

No I don't think it will take up to a month to reach its $1400 peak. As what we can see right now, The price ranges from $1100-$1150. Now's the Launch of BTU and if it really can overpass bitcoin. The price should be lower than $800 right now. Bitcoin is resilient and I believe in no time BTU will be destroyed by Bitcoin in terms of its liquidity. BTU may be popular right now because of its fresh launch but people will soon not be interested with this coin and Bitcoin will regain its place again and can even surpass its $1400 peak.

Prove me your analyzation, It means new ATH for the bitcoin, in my believe the bitcoin still need a lot of the positive news to push the FOMO by a lot of the whales who are migrating to the altcoins right now.

i am sure that bitcoin will break above $1,100 again like yesterday but we need to wait for a while but for todays, i think the range for the rate bitcoin is maybe in $1xxx and not going to $11xx but i still have faith that to reach more than $11xx is not to long to wait. the only problem that we have is do we have patience to wait bitcoin price is going to go up or not? if we still have patience, then its good for us and we can doing another trading like trading btc-alt or others, but if we don't have patience, then we can sell our bitcoin in low price today.

Friend, rockship for $1400 is coming to town :) We gonna consider the time it need to take to reach it high. $1,100 is not that bad value yet coin is above that at the moment.

Well I think the volatility of bitcoin prices gives traders more chances to speculate, and most of us hoping for more highest price like $1500. We don't want it bounce back down. I think the price will rise up this year.

i don't see anything above $1096 anywhere on bitfinex and bitstamp has $1087 as its highest price. other places don't count ;)

and we are on the way up there anyways so who cares if we get there today or in a week. there is nothing stopping it now unless they come up with a new FUD.

$1100 is not so big target to cross it so it can be happen anytime with just a little push. Price will continue rising like this so we will see new ATH during Q2.

It will makea break through soon. It has got the increased chance of crossing $1100 as price fluctuations were getting closer to $1100 and getting sustained around the same for a long time. Along with the same BU support has been decreasing steeper.

But here for your kind information I would like to tell you that the price will go currently down again because the one more country now declare the bitcoin as illegal job , that country is now country and this will gives the effect of down of the price because most of the Indian Bitcoiner will sell Thier bitcoin .

Of course it can break through that level, but the most important thing is that such levels aren't sustainable in current situation. We'll be heading up and down, as basically has been the case in the last weeks. In that regard, I wouldn't put much fait in current increase as nothing has changed in this whole *potential* hard fork situation. I rather use the offered ping pong opportunities in my advantage to scoop up some decent profits.

Coindesk highest price today was and is 1094 dollars, and 1100 dollars is around the corner. In next few days we will break 1100 and move slowly to price we had two weeks ago. Price is recovering nice and steady, that is good and like always I expect prices to rise until the beginning of summer, then drop again and in october or november we will go to 1500 dollars and more, like every year.

The altcoin markets rock right now, this free market shit we have is crazy sometimes but it allows us all to make a killing so hey ;p

If you look at the price of bitcoin is now at $ 1,091 and to achieve $ 1,100 it require $ 10. It was easy for bitcoin to reach $ 1100, I'm sure it will be reached today or maybe tomorrow. I think is now bitcoin is on a positive trend and will continue to occur until several days. And altcoin market? I'm sure altcoin average will decline, as we see now many altcoin that declined.

You will notice slight increase after a short drop in price within the month of march.

This time i'm sure it will reach $2,000 per bitcoin

I saw the exchange this morning and it turns bitcoin prices rise very high. I was quite surprised, I'll keep doing the holding. and I was lucky to have bought a lot of bitcoin yesterday. This was my chance to make a profit of more.

still very difult is few month bitcoin price can incraese until reach 1400 dollar/bitcoin
my prediction bitcoin price in end year can incraese to 1500 dollar/bitcoin but not few month

right now it is impossible to predict the price of bitcoin by the end of the year because so many different things can happen. although i am sure price will be higher than current price.

for example if we finally move on from this FUD about the split and we can get some momentum behind SegWit then we can expect a $2000 by the end of the year and that would be a small 100% rise which is not even as big as the previous years' rises.

p.s. we are above $1100 right now.

These year bitcoins price reached above 1200$ where it is an all time high. After that, bitcoins price is being slowly going down and some of us are worrying about it. Other cryptocurrencies, dumps, market cap are few factors that are causing this changes.

Can Bitcoin break the 1100 $$ price?

The good news is that bitcoins price has been higher than that before and that might happen again. It can be achieve if the community will believe in it and will stick to Bitcoin ( unless a serious threat happened ) in order for it to gain more users and grow through time.

I expect all those who bought at a price over $1100 in Jan will be taking profits as it goes above, and only once they have departed, will the price then move higher.

when price comes down from a fast rise to a high price it is not called "slowly coming down" it is called a correction. and there is a big difference there.
what you think is a drop and call it dump is what happens in the altcoin market and it is actually going on right now. those 2 top altcoins that people have been spamming everywhere about, is now dropping like a stone. they have gone down big percentages and continue to do so.

meanwhile bitcoin is rising slowly but strongly to that high price once again and will continue up.

When you are confident about $1300 - $1400 levels why not a new ATH ? I guess when bitcoin will be able to overcome the hurdles, right now it is facing then I believe no other things could resists prices below previous ATH itself. We can see continuous rally which may raise to exponential too.

At the time of writing this, bitcoin prices are trading above $1100 levels in bitfinex but in bitstamp yet to break $1100 (high was $1097).

Thats how it was for exchanges, they are somehow having different price levels sometimes. Right now according to preev the price was 1098$ at the time I post this now but in c-cex and other exchanges it is above 1100$, 1110$ approximately on c-cex and 1124$ on yobit. I really do hope that it will continue to go up until the end of this week and to not be followed by dump soon afterwards.

I would be happy if the price stays more or less stable above 1000 during the summer. If all goes well and current technical problems are resolved in rational manner, we will be probably looking at 2000 at the end of this year.

we can see today that the bitcoin price is up until $11xx and i think the price is always up and down for another days. i think if we can still make profit from the different of the price then its good for us to increase our money in market and we can wait next down to buy more bitcoin.

Yup once the BU debate settles and as long as BU nodes decrease and so does it support, then we have nothing to worry about bitcoin's price it will be back on track to $2000 as it was in beginning of year.

I think it's very possible that the price can get back again above at $1,100. The whales are going to keep on depending with the bitcoin market.

And the alt coin market will still remain as a choice of safe haven for those who are fearing of losing profit with bitcoin.

Since the price is pumping again they are going to get back into bitcoin which will make bitcoin pump again.

It can at it will. Just let the BU vs Core debate settle down and some solution come. From there bitcoin will become way more interesting for investors.

Now bitcoin value turns up to 1103$. If you are looking perfect time to buy the bitcoin, just do it at any time because this small fluctuation will not affects the bitcoins future price pump. We will touch the skyrocketing value in the next few years. I think you might bought some bitcoin in the recent drop. I personally, holded my bitcoins when its turned down and now looking for right time to sell it.

I also saw that on bitstamp at the value of more than $1100. On preev the price is not reached to that value but the exchange price is enough for us as we have to deal with exchanges besides that the price will start to increase as we can see it now it is in the forward direction.

Yes, In my opinion the price Bitcoin will be up again to $1200 in this month. If today can be $1100,
why not $1200 will be in this month ? But if there have any issue or negative news, I think difficult to rise again.

it's not, if they solve the block limit debate there is nothing anymore as a bad news that can make bitcoin go down, i mean there are no more excuse for manipulators to force newbie to dump their coins, and to buy cheap bitcoin, hopefully bitcoin can survive another time again and again, and now this range of value is just stronger, because more buyers bought in, which mean that we can see a new spike soon, i'm excited for this

Manipulators will still there behind us, in a shadow that we may never know. But newbies are now not dumping coins maybe because they learned it in a hard way not to listen to FUD spreading around the corner. And it looks like FUD is quiet or they are just thinking another strategy to disrupt again the market price and profit, we don't know. The market price of bitcoin is getting stronger by the looks of it this last week and the coming weeks to come.

There will be always traps with bitcoin price, do not doubt in that! I see some members here refer on history as a pointer for the future, and I noticed that in summer time prices are going down and recover after summer vocations. That is happening twice while I'm here on forum, so maybe there is truth that we can expect prices to go down again and only after summer to expect rise. Halving was last year, and maybe this price behavior was because of that, I don't know I will follow price movement carefully like I always do.

Bitcoin is like a gum to me. It goes back and forth also like a rubber band. It might have fall for like 200 dollars but still I can see that it will go back to where it is. This is all just happening because of the news about BU and add up the transaction process which is getting slower. If this things could be fixed there will be no problem to rise. Investors will see a good bitcoin again.

It seems there are more faithful believer than weak hands.  Bitcoin temporary go down below $1000  and the people who believe that Bitcoin will continue to rise in price value are buying these cheap BTC happily.  And it seems we had seen $1000+ again and still going stronger.  Even with the current negative news about another ETF rejection seems does not matter anymore.

Bitcoin can certainly go past 1,100.  Whats more important is the manner in which it travels past there.  A brief blip up and sharp fall is like hitting a ceiling and some recovery is probably required post injury!
My impression of the price action at present is less volatility apparent over the months, though it does shake on various events the way the price returns with buying makes it appear Bitcoin is buoyant and almost supported by regular demand.   This demand comes from more then one source or type, usually speculators would be the largest price mover but hopefully this is a sign of a more diverse market.

Its hard to read too much into it as many markets are non English and a different culture to my own.  It does appear more stable then I remember previously.   Ive convinced myself the recent highs were not the top and price is weighed in the direction of further increases.  
Obviously a big deal was made last year of the continuing restriction in supply of new coins via block reward halving.   That could be some reason, on the other more negative end we have possible protocol change and upset from these diverse interests wanting to have Bitcoin describe all transactions in different ways.  
Personally I think bitcoin will increase in price but also crypto currency will expand horizons and possibilities, hopefully all communities can benefit without too much upset.

You can be certain if obstacles are negotiated and utility increases for bitcoin, price will keep rising in line with demand.  Maybe the biggest clue to future price is to be aware of news and possibilities in bitcoin markets, production and transmission and the views of the operators and users

This is funny, it's obvious when altcoins dump and bitcoin rises exactly in same amount, remember when price was at $1250+ a month back? well that was the real demand but now it's just changing hands by traders but still a good thing for small investors to profit. right now the average is $1090 according to marketcap.com which is the natural price, after all why would anyone pay $1090 for one bitcoin if they could generate themselves spending less amount of money? when I say it all goes back to difficulty don't tell me I'm wrong.
If price slowly increases past $1100 we could be assured that it will stay there and it could become the next new bottom.

in my opinion, the potential bitcoin prices are very difficult to limit, could have bitcoin price exceeds the price of $ 2000 in the near future. although currently bitcoin prices fell below $ 1100, but I think bitcoin still have many opportunities to exceed the price of $ 1,100 again.

$2000 shouldn't be a concern to people as long as Bitcoin isn't scaling. Problem isn't reaching $1100 as it basically means nothing in current situation with uncertainties around the potential hard fork. In the same way that I don't add much value to current levels, I also don't add value to the price that goes sub $1000 again, as the price will continue to bounce up and down within a range of $200.

I think its takes days or week before we can see that the price will increase and touch back to $1100 unless if there is great news about bitcoin these days that can push back the price to high.. well since the price of bitcoin is increasing yearly and i think the price could be increase more due to demand of bitcoin now a days.

Also with me, i wanted to sell 0,1060  btc few days back but, not satisfied with the exchange rate which i have recieved from my buyer's i decided to hold this back.

Now, there is no regret to holding my coin back. especially when i have no immediate need for cash now.

The price of the bitcoin will surpass again it's pick price now I think by next year or by December because as you can see bitcoin price is just starting and the bitcoin economy as you can see from the past it keeps growing year by year and no dumping as you can see when you look at it by year, so I think it will grow again by 2018 and surpass more the pick price now.

Sorry but bitcoin dumps every now and then, In fact it goes back to lower than $1000 in the past few weeks . And its starting to raise its price again . I think the price now will become more stable as the increase is slow . Last time the increase was pretty quick so in just a few weeks, It dumps . I have watched its price for the past few months and this pattern is so repetitive .

If you are seeing always the chart and its price movement you will definitely say that and you are right when it increases on a fast way the possibility of sudden dump would possible which happen in previous weeks but still if the prize would stabilize or gradually increase it might also still to dump.Theres no sure on what would be the next movement in next hours or days thats why its really unpredictable.

This just bounce by the bitcoin price, looks like the bullish is over and we'll see another red candle in the future. I really like this situation because the bounce of the bitcoin price gives a lot of the benefits for me.

The price have been getting closer to $1100 often and at times the price has crossed $1100. One thing important is that the price haven't gained stability. Once on stabilization price will tend to stay above $1100 for a much longer time period as quoted above.

stability, in general meaning of it in economics and price, is something you can not see in bitcoin for many years. price is still mostly controlled in the small exchanges with thin orderbooks and lots of weak hands. a small FUD always makes the market shake and price to fall. and also the opposite, the small good news can make the market shake and make the price to go up.
although good news is that this process has been getting smaller as the market grows.

It looks like it's on the way. Impressive the amount of FUD that has been played over Bitcoin since the beginning of the year, from government inspections on Chinese exchanges to the hard fork drama. Bitcoin's resilience to resist such things is remarkable.

Here a big thing in the bitcoin price is it's drama of speed flutuations and after the price flutuation there is big confusion in the views of the government toward the legality of the bitcoin.
Well here no doubt that bitcoin price will again reach 1100$ but even will cross 1200$ also but currently in my opinion the price will ho Down for two months or.may be remain constant Because the current conditions of the bitcoin is between the process for the fork , hope everything goes fine .

Im sure we will see $1,100 sooner or later. We tested it like an hour ago. Looks like we will see some resistance. A lot of money going into litecoin right now due the segwit hype. Looks like litecoin is going to enable segwit anytime soon, big expectations to see what happens, no one wants to not be holding some.

BU support is still around 37%-38%-39% we won't have radical changes here.

Resistence above $1100 levels is quite strong and as buying pressure has been exhausted traders have a hard time maintaining prices above this level in spite of the breakthrough.

That. The uncertainties regarding all fud coming from the BU side isn't helping either. I am already happy with how strong the $1000 level is getting supported. Each time the price dumps below the $1000 level it gets bought up back to +$1000 levels. I personally don't mind the price to remain around current levels for a few more weeks, or even months. The volatility makes it worthwhile to do some trading in the meantime.

Yeah you are right they came here only to get the chance to buy cheap coins and as they believe on the success of bitcoin they started to buy from the people who started to sell and so the price of bitcoin once again started to increase. It is happening from months and now people have to accept that bitcoin will not lose them any money and it always recover its price.

Yes and its good to see that even after a price crash in past weeks we are again reaching to a $1100 level and people have shown their faith in bitcoins and are buying bitcoins at a moment and there is a full possibility that we will again cross $1200 price in coming days.

As I post this the price of bitcoin according to preev is 1131 US Dollars. It already broke above 1100 dollar again right now which proved how strong bitcoin got from these past years of it being constantly volatile, always on the rise and dump and rise again. I really hope that we will cross 1200$ in the next coming days, if not in the next coming weeks and I hope I can see bitcoin's price reach new heights again.

I think that it proves how strong bitcoin is, even though everyone in the community knows about a potential hard fork, people seem optimistic in the community that eventually bitcoin will prevail and hold its value.

In my opinion, the best way to manage your wealth right now is to get a portion of your fiat savings into bitcoin, and make sure that you store your bitcoins in a secure cold wallet, that way in case of a fork you are able to get coins on both chains.

I hope that the price can just stabilise at $1100 for a bit, before it climbs again.

The price has already crossed $1100 level and it can touch $1200 anytime soon so I am eagerly waiting to see that price so that I can sell some of my coins which I bought below $1000 in last week to make some quick profits from it.

It was much easy for bitcoin to recover like this very quickly because it is king of the crypto world. I was quite sure it will gain +1100 again and bought in the range of $900 so my decision gone very profitable so it has up trend so it will go more high.

It indeed can hit the $1200 level soon, but with BU fud going through the market the price can also tank down to $1000 within 24 hours. Fact is that there is quite a strong level of resistance at ~$1100 levels, in that regard, I wouldn't focus too much on the $1200 level for now. Especially when you consider that the price is moving within a certain range, that at the same time shows no real indication of moving outside that range.

Yes, bitcoin already break the 1100$ mark previously there are many concerns about BU fud. That's why the price of bitcoin is not moving upwards.
Now it is a good sign for bitcoin some governments have already legalized the bitcoin, so the price of bitcoin will increase to 2000$ surely.

Not so easy to achieve that price mate, and right now our first stop should be $1200 price and once it gets there then we can start thinking of next destination which can be $1500 which will even take long time to achieve and once it is done then can dream of $2000 not before that.

Price chart is been already recovered and bitcoin is stand now in $1113. there is no more forking I think. Many of the speculations are saying bitcoin is moving the upward trend. Yes the news seems to be one of the factor for the price pump / dump. But right now positive news are coming out and it seems that many are starting to learn that bitcoin will remain as the main crypto and no other can replace it. And right now the price is ranging now at $1,135-$1,156 which indicates that we are near again for another break.

Yeah right, I recommend to buy as much as we can, I'm sure this month prices will reach $1200, when the price reached $1050 a week ago, many users are freaking out, I also had time to sell but I buy more when the price is $1020 and thankfully now the price is $1160.

Honestly, $1,100 is nothing for Bitcoin to break. A true milestone will be $2000 since we've been hovering in the $1000s for quite some time now.

However if it goes up to something like $2,000 right now it would be probably a bubble, because right now there is rumours all over the place about the potential hard fork and it is so anticipated right now.

The community is divided. The functionality of bitcoin is limited by the fact that there is always a possibility of the community will break up into two distinct ideologies.

I don't really fear this hardfork as I strongly believe it's just a big bluff! Right now there is some huge manipulation going on. Scare the shit out of people by spreading FUD and part them form their precious BTC. Meanwhile a big orchestrated agenda is pushing almost every altcoin and sucking up all the dumb money who is willing to follow.
There will be a point where this whole scheme will collapse or the leaders just pull the plug. Then a big shift is very likely to happen. Either into BTC partially or profits will be taken in fiat. Or something of both. This is cryptoland where manipulation by guys with deep pockets is so damn easy!
So imo we still can reach $2000 this year. But I agree that if it happens too fast we may correct stronger.

If it remains at $1,100 - $1,200 levels, then we can look at breaching $2,000 within the next 2-3 months. Who knows? May be by the end of the year, we may be able to touch the $5,000 per coin mark. The reason why I am saying is that right now many of the Altcoins are over-valued. Within the next few weeks, people will dump these coins and purchase Bitcoin.

Already we are good value in the price chart. Last year same day we are some where around 500$ plus but now we are double and more in the value. This much bump because of halving effect and Christmas bump. How we can expect the bitcoin to touch the 2000$ and more in this year. We are getting lots of adoptions over block chain technology but still we did not move in the price wise accordingly.

No worries for that's, the price still play around $1000++, soon or later we will back to see the price higher than $1100 maybe in shortly bitcoin price will take over gold price again. ;)

Being serious, I would avoid saying that bitcoin price will surely go up because of altcoins dump,  I rather would say that there is a big chance for that.

I think the same as you Sithara, I believe that big part of alts market is actually overpriced: people tend to pump up money into coins that basically do not implement any new solutions: they are just a copy of another cryptocurrency.
After breaking 1250$ we can only wait for 1500$ level break, I really want to see that event ;>.

Of course, we are believe that the price Bitcoin will be $1100 above again, maybe for the end in this month.

Are you sleeping or just not paying any attention to the exchange rates? Currently were hovering around the $1175 level. Other than for statistical purposes, Bitcoin overtaking gold's ounce value doesn't add any real value. People seem to get excited about it, but I don't see anything interesting in it. Real milestone will be when 1 BTC overtakes gold's 1 KG price.

The 1100 $$ price that we've been all talking about is just a portion of bitcoins growth potential. Look at the current price now, it is far more higher than 1100$. We do all have doubts and at the same time we believe. It's always between these two but the percentage is much higher on the good side.

In my own opinion, I think it's better to hold it a much longer. Economists predicted that Bitcoin will be at 2000$ at the end of the year. Cash out when you need the money, don't if it is not needed.


The competitiveness of alts in the market make bitcoins price became wayward, but still don't forget that it is the golden root of cryptocurrencies, when bitcoins price became low, expect a really big comeback.


It can break the 11K $ mark but I think it won't be this year.

Despite the cycle that everyone is trying to compare bitcoin with gold, I believe that gold has several more weighty arguments and first of all it is the ego physical form.

The staircase we usually have means now that we hit that we will prob see it again and carry forward from there, damn, im starting to feel like the early adopters, when i started only a few years ago BTC was 250$ ;p
