Title: New Computer with No OS Post by: mu50stang on June 17, 2011, 09:03:52 PM Just bought a new computer with no os and have a 5750 and 5570 radeon card. I was strictly going to use this for mining. Can i run both under windows and guiminer? Also would it work better under linux. Thanks.

I would personally recommend going with whatever you feel most comfortable with. Also whether you have a Windows license (and whether you care) factors into these calculations.

The dummy plug is really really easy to make and costs less then $5. I suggest using the operating system you're familiar with first. Make sure you keep it updated with the latest software and patches so you don't get hacked. |
