No Brother, It's just you. http://btc-e.com is up for me and other users. Maybe you need to your internet connection, clear your cache or maybe just restarting machine may solve the issue.

It seems that their website is back. CloudFlare probably doing its job. I don't know whether full exchange functionality is accessible.
Users on chat confirmed that service is fully back, at least for now.

It's back up now. Though it did take longer to load than usual.

I think it's working. Haven't tried trading anything myself just yet, but according to their trade history,
there have been trades going on (at least for the past several minutes) that I can see.

If it's not anything urgent though, might wanna observe for a while longer.

I just cashed out a part of my Litecoin profits, so everything seems to be working again. It was most likely an attempt to slow down the site to such a degree, that it would distract the attention away from people behind the DDoS that probably were trying to get into the system. It's a common thing nowadays. Increased price makes exchanges an even more interesting target.

They are live now and working but its better to pull out all your cryptos from there before they go under another DDOS attack. Specially take out your litecoin and don't keep any orders open there. Litecoin is having lots of dump and pump in last 15 minutes.

Things aren't that critical. If you are going to worry about each ddos attack, you couldn't keep your coins anywhere as basically every Bitcoin related service gets to deal with these attacks.

Other than that, if you aren't trading, then the best choice will be to withdraw all the coins you have at any exchange back to your offline wallet. It should be people's main priority, but most of them are too lazy to do so.

It's such a 2013 technique, DDOSing exchanges, yet it still seems to work in that exchanges haven't increased their server capacity, plus DDOS protection to ride it out.

Everything seem to go crazy for a while in the LTC market.  All the segwit drama and sites going down.  Charlie lee trying to steady the ship.  Wayy to much stress for my liking.

BTC-E are crap, they clearly have terrible service and there's an open scam accusation about them withholding thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin from a client despite very good identification.  People should start moving some coins to Polo, it's a bit laggy but I trust them way more.

Yeah but then i heard polo went down the other day and rekted everyone.  I can say i've not yet had any probs with BTC-e, it would be nice if exchanges could stay online during market moves.

Best is Coinbase, why even mess with these Russian exchanges unless you live in a 3rd world country?

BTC-E has a better overall level of confidence than most of the other major exchanges. Another major benefit is that they don't force you to verify yourself like other exchanges do.

That being said, their support is indeed lacking (according to those having tickets open for a long time) compared to support services of other exchanges, but I personally haven't had any issues in the 2 years of me being a user of their exchange. Everything works as it should.

A DDOS was going on BTC-e. Sadly it is something usual with this type of sites, so not really a thing to worry about, as long those sites have a DDOS protection, from Cloudfare or anything else then it's fine if they can handle this type of event. It should be crazy if they have not any protection

Increasing server capacity can be a helpful practice, but if a certain entity wants your site to go down, then it will go down. It just depends on how much resources they can justify to exhaust in order to achieve their goal. If you have been browsing through various deep net markets, you'll know that you can rent a massive DDoS attack for a certain duration. I think as we speak, the major exchanges have a sufficient enough security to prevent any sort of theft from hackers.
