Not much to look at, I wasnt trying to make it look nice. Walls are made out of [3/4" Wood] [2" Rock Wool Insulation] [ 3/4" Wood] [50Mil Sound Material]

Not sure if helped much, but outside layer of wood is only nailed to itself and glued on with silicone, I was thinking it would help isolate the sound

Basic Design - Draws air in from the bottom, Antminers are piped into 10"x6" Duct to a 450 CFM Blower directly outside, chambers are designed to baffle the sound, secondary 290 CFM exhaust fan to keep the air flowing through the box

Inline Blower - Standard 6" Fan, 450 CFM, 120 Watts
Exhaust Fan - Quiet Bathroom Fan - Panasonic-FV-30VQ3 - 290 CFM about 80 Watts

The chamber with the miners has full 50 Mil Noico Sound Mat, I also used some foam insulation on the door peice (fyi you need to be careful with the foam insulation as its pretty flammable, the rock wool will not burn and is preferred whenever you can use it)

Sorry this picture sucks, didnt want to fuss with the miners

I had alot of problems trying to directly duct the miners to the outside, the hot air ended up sitting against the back causing the rear of the miner to get crazy hot, ended up using an oversized 10" x 6" duct opening for 2 Antminers. There is about 1" of clearance under the miners to allow cool air to be drawn into the duct as well.

Outdoor air temps in my city have been 80 deg F during the day and 60s at night. Chips are holding at around 70 deg C average. No noticeable difference in the basement temperature. I think having the air drawn from my below ground the basement cools it significantly.

200 Watts is about 7.6% electrical overhead for cooling, which I think is acceptable

Sound is great, the miners are significantly quieter than my storage server, rack mount UPSs, and GPU miners. The most important part is to seal up the entire box except for the air intake.

Total Cost = $460
Fans = $250
Insulation = $40
Sound Mat = $60
Ducting and Misc = $60
Caulk = $50
