Title: Solar panel systems for BTC / LTC --- interest levels?
Post by: Cranky4u on April 26, 2013, 02:50:04 AM
I am currently trying to gauge market interest levels in solar / wind systems (componenets / kits) with payment by BTC / LTC and solely online.

If such a service was offered, predominaetly in Australia to start with, would many people be interested?

Please leave your 2 bobs worth via a reply.

the ROI on that kinda stuff is pretty high, if you brought this out when GPU mining first started it would be worthwhile, but now with the advent of ASICs which run off low watts, its not all that valuable of a service.

The amount of electricity it generates doesn't change based on what it's running. Watts are watts, be they ASIC or GPU or FPGA.

I'm not in Australia, but I think it is a great idea.

Whats your cost per watt ??   60 cents per watt ??

I am in oz and would be keen on payment by btc\ltc etc

There is a world outside of ASIC & BTC etc  8)

I'm not interested as I'm both not in Au, nor do I own a house, BUT I'm a big supporter of the idea. Especially AU needs to get on it, sunny ass country, with super low population density, high areas of land with little to no cover, etc. A solar country if there ever should be one.

Come on ozzies, you know you want it!

This has got to be the most thought deficient statement I've read in a while.

Think this is a great idea even though I live in the UK.

There appears to be enough interest to take this to the next level.

I will get back to the boards shortly with BTC per Watt for both stand alone or grid connect kits for self installation.

Given prices for elec in Aus are typically ~30cents kWh, there should be some interest for self installs.
