It based on ethereum platform with a lot of demand and massive supporters. They has done fastest crowfunding just in less than 6 hours and collected 10k btc.
Try to consider and visiting the announcement thread to get further information about the development of the project. This is really promising to be your portofolio dude.

The coins which have potential to do stomp the maerket:

- Maid safe coin - if developers deliver what they promised it will be easy top 5 altocoin.

- Decred - highly advanced coin, but it comes with rather experimental way stuff is handled there, worth checking out

- Dash - as much as I hate Dash and I think it is a shady coin, it is growing rapidly

If you are really interested on which is the best altcoin for this year then its not bad to look at always on the chart specially on coinmarketcap you would able to see for yourself which coins are placed on the top which means they are all good and do have potential. ETH can be considered as one of the most coins who do really have a good future.

Blocknet could also fill the last missing piece of the crypto puzzle for us to have an end to end trustless arena - again do your own research.

You should take a look at the trust, gnosis, iexec and matchpool. They all have a lot of demand and take over a lot of the volume.

With their popularity,  It will be growing a lot in the future, Some of them just take less than 12 hours to completing his crowdfunding.

only good thing about clam as many you want if you have old wallet form doge and bitcoin laying around that were used for transaction, it work with litecoin too, i don't know why the value is so good when everyone is claiming those coins for free and can dump easily

I think XEM is doing good in the past few days, as already they have developed their own Apple app where people can store their coin in that store.
Even today in Polo may be soon this coin will cross the volume of XRP for sure.

I think that the best altcoin in 2017 is eth and zcash for mining . By mining eth and zcash you can get lot of profit monthly .
Also in near future will be added minexcoin , i think that will be great for mining it:)

XRP has the potential to grow more during 2017 with the new adoptions and partnerships they have.
I would also recommend ICN as it introduces new thing in the crypto sector, although several projects have copied their idea.

IMO, you should keep an eye on LTC, BOSCoin and ETH. As many already said, start to dig the news, Twitter, this forum, everywhere... for new information about the altcoins that looked attractive to you. This is the best way to know if its price is correct, over or undervalued.

You can't ignore LTC.

Asset tokens, I think BitBay has the greatest potential for crazy geometric gains.

Slightly longer shots are settlement coins like XEM, XRP, XLM.

I would own pieces of all of these. Good diversification and upside potential.

Bearing in mind the fact many alt-coins are increasing in value right now make sure that you pick the right one for the long term.

My DogeCoin is increasing daily and is close to being at a new all time high. LiteCoin is starting to gain buzz again, which may make it a more stable alternative. In terms of risk the likelihood is best diversified no matter the volume (saying alt-coins are inexpensive.)

I think that Dash has huge upside potential. IIRC the development team gets 10% of the mining reward, so as Dash increases in price, the development funds increase as well. At the beginning of the year Dash was around $12. Today it is $72. So the development funds have gone up 600%. The logic is the more development funds the more development and a faster, more stable, easier to use cryptocurrency.

Monero is the one I'm hoping to go more higher this year, as more darknet markets are accepting it and it is getting the same attention as bitcoin was getting in its initial days.

Here in my mind there are two altcoins Only .
First is BTM ( available at Poloniex and Nova ) , if you will see the trading in the  BTM coin then you will find that BTM is really in good position Currently , it is because it's trading volume in 50-60btc per day . And also in my opinion it's price will increase from 28k Satoshi to 65k satishi , so it is more better to hold this coin .
Second coin is posw coin this coin is available in many  exchage , the reason for the future of the posw is that , this coin has own wallet and exchage for trading .
Poswallet.com is official wallet for this coin and it price increases from 20 satoshi to 1900satishi , so here now more chance to increase .

For me the best altcoin for 2017 is Expanse. You can see that it is becoming more successful this year and it gives a lot of benefits to the people.

A lot of good altcoin this year, all altcoins of decent quality have a significant rise, one of them is ethereum, the price is still fiat 49 ~ 55 $, possibly eth price in September or Oktober will have a price 80 ~ 100 $. Some new coins like qtum and gnosis will have a pretty good price, the use of smartcontrac from handphone with cryptocurrency bitcoin and eth, project qtum will make eth and bitcoin high price, And qtum altcoin 20x after entering market, and possibly after 2 year will be 1000 x from crowdsale price .

For me the best altcoin base on my analysis was maid, bay, xem, and dgb I think are those potentials in the market this year
2017, So I will buy them little by little then hold in a long term.
