No King or Queen, removing central power.

All other pieces remain the same, though maybe name differently, and all move according to the classic game, sans castling, since no King.

I suggest a new move be introduced incorporating the pawns, calling it entoshi (think en passe)

The object of the game is reverse in the sense that the first person to sacrifice all their pieces first is the winner. As in checkers, one's forced to make a capture, otherwise...

  • The player failing to make the capture loses a turn.
  • The piece not captured is removed from the game.
  • The player is allowed to remove another piece of theirs from the game.

Thus, a great penalty is bestowed upon the player not exercising a capture. In fact, we can call this the entoshi.

A point system could be in place, thus enabling a tally of the remaining opponents pieces to coincide with the win, e.g., W5 (where the value of the remaining pieces have a total value of 5). A goal would be to achieve the highest W(?) score of subsequent matches.

As you can imagine, the goal is to try not to be the first one forced to capture, for your subsequent moves could be a series of captures, of which a defence for such would need to be devised (or is it derived?--not looking it up).

Back to the point system, the value of the pieces could look this:

9 8 7 6 5 4
3 2 1 1 2 3


3 2 1 1 2 3
4 5 6 7 8 9

The numbering aspect could be/is open for discussion.

One way to incorporate Bitcoin into the mix is the payoff to the winner via the W(?) value.

As for the design of the pieces, what do you think of the following to represent the pawns?
