This is a surprise to nobody but him - it has always been clear that he is naive in the extreme.

Perhaps he will step down early if he finds it too much  ;)

The worst thing he could say right now is that he doesn't like the job or that he preferred his life before this job.

This guy is the most controversial person ever to be a US President, and for him to hint at the fact that he's not really into it or that he wishes he hadn't been President is an insult to the entire country. This guy embarrasses the office and the Presidency weekly.

The only word of truth which I heard from him is that being President was harder than he had imagined. It says that all of his campaign promises were empty. He will not be able to comply with them.

What Trump gives the impression of a smart person? I believe that Trump had imagined the work of the President very differently. He thought 4 years will be God, but it turned out all wrong.

Trump you be trolling, then again he probably enjoyed the rallies more than the President duties.
Or maybe it is like well I was a CEO and chill but now I am an the Top Employee and their is so much to do either way he is improving the learning curve for him was steep. Still it has been more than a century - of days - for Mr Trump. We aren't done for a while yet :P

Truth it's a Status object that costs Billions to get into or not, for a $400,000 honorary salary that tends to get donated ha-ha.

Do not be surprised at all. All presidential candidates promise a lot and never do anything from their promises.

Trump must understand that being the president of the United States is not an easy job. There is always the option of being a puppet of someone, and playing golf instead of doing the job (just like what Obama did during his term). But if you have your own independent ideas, then please spend some time implementing them.

Well he asked for it and considering all the things that had been said and done to put him in that seat, I don't think he has any right to complain unless he's proven himself worthy of the position he holds. Can't believe he's already into that considering he hasn't even been a year there

Though he might not expect what he is facing concerning both local and international policies,but he no the job and with time he will be used to international politics. Many first time presidents find it as a surprise most of the issue the meet after taking orth of office but at the end see different things. What he just needs to do is focus and determination for good government.

Trump is an example of a President who doesn't want to be a puppet, but to break out of control he can't. His every move is limited. Obama is much easier and more confident feel in the seat of the President.

Well there is nothing like being the president of the united states. Too bad i will never know how it feels :(

This is something you keep to yourself, given the circumstances. This is akin to a pilot saying 'hope we get her down, this is tough!' while landing. Might be the truth, but dammit,  it doesn't make anyone feel any better.

Our president has zero chill.

It's hard to believe how he treats being the president.  He doesn't take it serious or put in the time or effort that should be put into it.  He wants everything to be handed to him and now he is upset that it hasn't been.  Upsetting...

Trump thought the President is like the Queen in chess is the main figure and goes as he pleases. In fact, he was a pawn. It goes only to those corridors where it is allowed. He is not much like it.

I think he is not too much serious with it or some kind of joke .But if he meant well he better steps down on his position as president rather than not doing his full job as US president .Expectations on him is too high before he got his position so he needs to accept and do his job .

He needs support from the establishment dominated senate and the house. So he has watered down some of his policies, and abandoned some other. But still, far better than Obama who didn't had any polices of his own.

"I always have a concern when members of the family who was never elected, suddenly become the official state representatives, and they are treated almost as members of the Royal family," concluded Gabriel. Such statements say that Trump is not popular neither in the US nor abroad.

I can understand the frustration of these Germans such as Sigmar Gabriel and Angela Merkel. They were hoping that Hillary Clinton would win the presidential elections. They would have been more than happy to give royal treatment to Chelsea Clinton. But Ivanka? Oh.. that is a strict no no.

It's just another proof that Trump wasn't prepared for this position and did not understand the enormous responsibility that he will have as US president.
He never was politician and didn't know what to expect.
It seems to me that he saw the presidential campaign just as another reality show (and very good personal promotion) and on the end he was surprised and unprepared with the final result :)
Now, he have to learn quickly political reality or everything will collapse before the start.

I think no matter who Trump or Clinton. Europeans are concerned about further cooperation with the United States. In addition, Trump really is behaving inappropriately. Since it is impossible to deal with. Say this not only in Germany but throughout the world.

Being a president no matter for which country is not an easy task, literally millions of people are looking at you nonstop, however it has it's own especial perks but still I wouldn't accept such a great and heavy responsibility.
Constantly you need to decide between life and death and every single decision you make has a huge impact either you know it or not.
I hope that he comes to his senses and steps down before does something to kill us all.

I don't know why he's making these statements, most of his decisions are being taken by his baby sitters or Ivanka or Jared.
We know that he's a businessman but running a country is not like a business. He might be saying this to show that he's working really hard. ::)

People like Trump do not voluntarily abandon his post. To refuse him is to admit defeat. He's not going. Only chance is impeachment. Now its bellicose rhetoric, Trump is trying to distract attention from the investigation in Congress. View.

Wow, I can finally agree with Trump on something.

I too miss the life before he became US president.

And I also miss the time when Twitter was cool, and nobody thought that a damn line on that site could start a world war.
And the times when there wasn't a constant flip flopping like it is nowadays.

It's possible that he will decide to quit before his term runs out to go back to his old life. I'm sure he has lost a lot of freedom after becoming president.

Not funny argument for any president at all. I dont like Vladimir Putin but i respect his patriotism about his public service.

People don't seem to notice that this is Trump being truthful, yes I too and everyone else on here would miss the life of just being a billonaire with a real estate empire when you're now put into power into the top spot (President) in the most influential and hardworking country in the world where you're being paid a normal mans salary.

I'd be more surprised if he came out and said he didn't miss his life before this, because then you'd know he was lying. He's being honest and people have to respect that.


He'd be a laughing stock if he did that and that's the last thing he wants, he wont resign.

There are a lot of similarities between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. Putin became the president of Russia, when the economy was in deep recession. Similarly, Trump became the president when the federal debt increased to more than 100% of the national GDP.
