SingularDTV's ticker is SNGLS, STEEM, BURST, STRAT all have 5 letters, so I don't see why STORJ can't be done.

Yes, I have only 800 coins because I must invest money to some other projects so I feel regretful when I did not spend more money to this coin.

800 coins is a lot of coins, I don't know what you're talking about. I will wait for the price to reach a low enough level for me to invest in it, there' s a bunch of ICO's and other investments that many of the people here make money on so I am pretty sure that they will try to dump StorJ for those coins causing a temporary drop in price.

Bought some SJCX the other day through Poloniex, surprised to see the current price today, if I am not mistaken it went down 25% or maybe more, but still hoping that price will recover by Monday or Tuesday as during weekends trading is really slow and it may have affected the price of all coins.

True,im not really surprised on whats happening as of now on which altcoin do normally on reds when bitcoins price tends to rise up again. Seeing now on bitcoin its price is climbing up again gradually. Their target was $30 million. And they reached that easily, even pre-sale was $15 million.

People not reading drives me insane on this forum.  All the info you need about storj can be found by using the search function,  and most of it is in this thread here.  There aren't many threads about it and this is the main one.

Not sure if this has been answered yet but it's stated that each Storj costs 0,5 USD. Against which value is this measures? It is at the time of purchased or against some other value? For example, if at the time of purchase BTC was worth $2000 will I get 4000 STORJ for 1 BTC or is it measured against a later exchange rate.

They say distribution should be within 4 weeks of the sale end, they had a lot of support calls and need to get things right, mainly because people not reading instructions before buying.
But it may happen sooner.

The swap should officially happen before July 19th but most probably sooner so long as the distribution gets underway it shouldn't be much longer after that.

I was talked about how this is good opportunity only few posts above, and turns up my call was good high was at 70k and current price of 40k is correction, which means it will be back to 50k in no time. Market cap means nothing and it is not a big deal to see that the rest of the currencies are having a huge market cap and it is not because of promising alt coins but it is simply because we have more alt coins and some have even have unlimited amount of coins.

The older coin won't disappear completely? I think if the incentive is there, people would migrate to new coin. Did I read news that the old coin would disappear... I think it is possible that the exchange would keep it and not delist it. Interesting.

That's why I am saying. I see it takes time, for whatever reason and not the point now, for the exchange and storj to get them listed. I imagine for delist would take some time too, and might be funny to see if people are willing to leave the old asset behind, unsupported as it is, and only on what value remains. I reckon that old coin would get really rare.

We do have the same perspective when it comes to ETH based altcoin and most of them are successful.We cant say that it may surpass bitcoin but seeing on the potential of ETH,theres still a possibility.

This is taken from their official blog and what is says about token migration ,that all existing SJCX Counterparty tokens will convert on a 1:1 basis to the new Ethereum based ERC20 token called “STORJ”. The migration will start no later than July 19th and end October 19th,i think it is going to be a long process and a long term investment.

ETH is not my favorite coin at all but it is favored by market and this is a fact. Everything related to ETH had success already, this showing some new trends, tokens are very popular and easy for trading.

The old token will be replaced by the new token no point for exchanges to keep it listed.

It could get rare yes, but then anyone can setup a token on Counterparty and make 1 coin.

For the token to have value there needs to be something useful behind it.

For the exchanges I think at one point, once the Token contract is released it's up to them to list it when they are ready and when they do they will delist SJCX as there is no point for them to have to mange two tokens for the same thing.

Also I believe exchanges will also have to swap their SJCX to STORJ like anyone else, so if they stick to SJCX they may lose on the momentum the new token may have when listed.

I have a feeling SJCX will be frozen on exchanges at one point and allow users to withdraw. Or there may be a chance they will swap 1:1 on the exchanges themselves but not sure how it will work and if feasible because tokens need to swapped through a web app, send old tokens get new tokens, old tokens get burned.

HOW DO I CONVERT MY TOKENS FROM SJCX TO STORJ?

The Storj conversion application will be located at: https://storj.io/conversion

We will ask for:

1. Your email address

2. Your ERC20-compatible Ethereum wallet address (not an exchange address.

You must hold the private key yourself.
This address does not need to match the address you used during the STORJ Token Sale (if you purchased tokens at that time), but it can be used.
If you are unfamiliar with Ethereum wallets, we recommend MyEtherWallet.

We will give you:

A unique SJCX address to send your SJCX to;

This address is generated specifically for you.
Do not send your SJCX to any address other than the one generated in the web application.
You will need to have a small amount of BTC for miners fees in your SJCX address in order to be able to send the tokens to the web app. This is because SJCX is a Counterparty token and that protocol uses bitcoin transactions to move tokens. Please use https://bitcoinfees.21.co at the time you are ready to send your SJCX to the web app to calculate the appropriate BTC miners fee you need to send your transaction to avoid getting it stuck in the mempool for extended time periods.


EXCHANGES

STORJ tokens will be available on exchanges after the distribution when exchanges decide to list them. We expect Poloniex, Bittrex and ShapeShift to support the new token.


SJCX TO STORJ SWAP

SJCX will be swapped 1:1 to STORJ not later than July 19th, most likely in June at some point, we will provide a web app to allow holders to send SJCX to be swapped for STORJ to a provided ERC20 compatible ETH address.

I am using parity wallet and can not see the StorJ token. There is no STJ token in token registry either. I have checked with ethploer.io and see the balance there. It does not show up. What is the problem?

Distribution is ongoing as far as I know, wait for an announcement for when is complete.

Also paste your token receiving address in etherscan.io and look at the tokens receiving tab to see if your tokens were distributed.

Another parity wallet user, i do the Watch Wallet on my parity account, but i still cant see any STJ anywhere, is a problem from parity i guess right? we just have to wait?

You can use your Parity Keystore in MEW if you need access to your tokens. Easy.

im new on this sir, so please help me a little bit, is my first ICO, so, i already done the watch contract wallet they provide, how do i use my keystore? what u mean with MEW? thanks for reply

When you are in your Parity wallet, go to Accounts then Export and you will download a .json file.

You can then load that file in myetherwallet.com:

UPDATE: my STJ are now visible in my parity wallet, so i assume Parity Devs takes a little more time to include STJ on theyr software. So i can say now Parity is officialy working with STJ

hello, can I already sent my STORJ to poloniex SCJX adress and sell it as SCJX ??

I seen that the token got listed on the liqui.io. But ain't touching that, big brother poloniex and bittrex have something to say.

Any deadlines on SJCX to STORJ conversion?   Part of my SJCX are held hostage by Poloniex,  with no response to the support ticket for almost a month.   It would be very unfortunate to lose them due to Poloniex support #fail.

The devs should have used ETC or Waves, ETH is already congested.

Don't worry... They will make another ico for that too. :)

After 3 months and a half storj is finally on green since crowdsale. What happen, why the shift. Twitter did not show me.

BTER Added STORJ and they have been trading it quite a bit the last few days. Huge volume.

Despite the positive reactions here, I got a negative view of this coin. China banned ICO and slew down on them. This ico might be one of the reason of these news. You simply don't gather 30 million dolar and then have the dev leave with a chunk of the code, or the team not providing news on time. You have to ask yourself, what did they provide to get such an amount of value... did they win the Nobel prize?

Just my 2 cents. Of course this view is biased because of poor performance of the coin, compared to others... but still.

I understand there are some issues with Chinese ICOs, but the reasons are more to do with Chinese scam icos not foreign ICOs.
Also Storj code is open source so the lead dev who left didn't take anything that is not publicly available for anyone else to fork and use.
However Storj doesn't have one dev only but plenty of them, you can simply check the team page and see for yourself.

This subsequent move in market cap will follow for sure when some issues are solved:

a) Consolidation of tokens→Poloniex stops trading (the old) SJCX and starts offering STORJ (ERC20) thus ending the messy situation of having 2 different tokens (and prices) for the same project;

b) Transparency→Storj Labs "summarize the status of SJCX migration and the STORJ crowdsale" and reveals all the numbers related to the recent token sale ("How many SJCX have been converted to STORJ? How many STORJ fall into each of the time-lock tranches, and when do these time locks expire? How many STORJ are in circulation? Disclose a policy regarding how many STORJ Storj Labs will introduce per year.")¹;

c) Disclosing Goals→Storj Labs reveals development roadmap and accounting of used (and yet to be used) raised funds (those $30M);

d) Dream team→Storj Labs hires a CEO (someone to be the leader of the team and also responsible for public/stakeholder relations²), CMO (please someone to handle marketing, for God's sake) and full time developers.

IMHO Storj Labs shoud have solved those issues (a) to (d) before announcing that news. The announcement of FileZilla integration was great but the timing was not. I guess if all those issues were solved before FileZilla's announcement STORJ market cap would be worth tenfold+ by now!

P.S. I think Storj team (what's left of it) is smart. They are able to learn fast from their own past mistakes and will do right next time solving all those issues and making more exciting updates in the right timing...
