Title: Do you take part in casinos' tournaments?
Post by: OshiHugo on May 11, 2017, 07:01:31 PM
Hi guys!
Since there are many tournaments from many many casinos (Oshi.io is one of them with their special tournament since this Monday) I was just wondering whether you take part in them? How often? How do you choose tournament, have you ever won? What do you like about tournaments and do you think they are really helpful or you don't like them?
Do you think there are also some fake tournaments or rigged ones? DO you have any experience with them?

I don't no. Too much competition for me & I always worry that others might be using some kind of bot & cheating some how. That's just me though being paranoid.

Frankly, such tournament ( the one that being held by oshi ) isn't my type of tournament. It is impossible for me to be able to win one of the prizes since I do gamble just for fun only. The tournament that mostly attract my attention is a tournament or competition that based purely on luck. First one to roll specific numbers or first one to win with specific bet amount at specific payouts for example. Those two tournaments are usually being held by dice gambling sites but I guess the idea can be adapted to other type of games as well.

i think i am not trying to take part in casino's tournaments because i know myself that i can not playing gambling with good beside that i don't have any experience that will help to play and win in that tournaments. i think the tournaments can help us to win and reach the prizes but we should have many things to win the games like experience, skills, luck, and others.

I don't know how to play poker or any other tournament game. Maybe if you consider the tipster championship as a tournament?

Yes, but only if the prizes are available to withdraw immediately after the tournament.

Because i saw few tournament in the past where the prizes was with 30-40x turnover requirement. This makes the prizes very hard to withdraw and worthless.

I also don't participate in such tournament, it is not that I don't know how to play, but I think it is because I don't have any confidence inmyself or maybe I just know that I have no chance in  winning in such tournaments. I know that there are a lot of gamblers that have a chance to win there, but not me.

Depends on what kind of gambling type is that and the structure of the tournament on what will it need to become the champion.

Rigged and fake tournaments have chances especially in online that's why Im not an enthusiast of those tournaments. If there is a case about tournament that being done physically, meaning player to player personally, that's the time I will consider joining it. Actually I had joined small tournaments in various games here in real world.

I think i just did this once. It's really hard and you have to be patient in your game because it's just like your are playing with any other bot. Live players dont just make bluffs and go all bet just for luck, sometimes its frustrating because you may have good cards but your enemies keep on folding. And the only action you can see is if both of you have at least trios or even 5 cards to have a sure win.

You are right ,casino tournaments are for professionals who have studied different strategies to get at the  highest level of the game

and i would not want to be the weakling of the tournament. I would rather be the spectator in this scenario and just learn a thing or two from them.

Would provably fair tournament change your mind?
I mean before we started preparing our tournament we reached out the people for their opinion and this (provably fair tournament with no casino employees taking part) was one of the most desired features.

Some participant on the tournament are just dummy of the casino owner, They just use tournament that offers a huge prize just to attract more participants and then they will create dummy account to participate on the game bet to win the tournament, It is very hard to determine if all players are legit or just a dummy of the devs. In able to become probably fair on an event, The casino owner must be transparent on the result of the game.

I sometimes join gambling tournaments as long as these tournaments are not like a wagering tournament where gamblers with the most money always win. Most tournanents i've seen are like wagering contests and imo only helps the high rollers maybe it's like a bonus for them since they're the ones giving profits to the casinos. I haven't experienced rigged/fake tournaments I think that would ruin the casino owners reputation if he/she do so.

i think with the tournaments, many people that wants to join and use many ways to be a winner and even if they created many accounts, as long as they don't have their luck in the tournaments, then its difficult to win the games. and so far, myself is not take a part in casinos tournaments because its too big for me to playing gambling and i am sure that the risk is really high and for me, i think i can not handle the high risk, i prefer with small risk than high risk.

i feel you brother. lol  we have the same perception to this matter. i too worries about the cheating in every tournament.. i have always wanted to try it but this is what that holds me back from doing so.. maybe soon i will try this and see how it goes. maybe if i do that then my worries will be all gone. hopefully.

I tried entering a poker table online that wiuld allow me to join an actual competition if I finish in the final 2 but I think the people who join these competitions and tournaments are highly experienced and skilled already. I was the third guy to be booted out and I didn't try anything like that anymore

If there is some kind of game to hit roll number or bet ID than yes.
If you mean wagering tournaments than no.

Nope I am not really good in card games so I think I can't really join some casino tournaments,
I would just lose and be a stepping stone to other player .

I really like tournaments but I'm not sure about casino tournaments. If casino games are based on luck, and I think we all agree on that, then what can you do on a casino tournament? I'm up for tournaments if they are skill based (poker, sports bet, etc), but purely based on luck or on how much you spent, then no.

And what do you think about a tournament where you get points based on your win ration? For example you bet 10mBTC and win 1000mBTC and an another player bet 1000mBTC and win 2000mBTC - he wagered more but you win

That sounds interesting and will give small players a chance to compete against high rollers.

Watch some free training vids on youtube and play in some freerolls to learn.  Its risk free and can win a little cash.  Even most sites these days offer such low stakes the biggest risk is wasting your time not money.

Most of the tournaments are rigged to make high rollers win lol, that's why i don't participate in such tournaments. but i occasionally participate in tournaments where i think i'll be able to at least even out or win!(something like primedice bingo competition)

Yes... Rigged tournaments are a big problem that need to be removed.
But what do you for example think about tournament where you get points based on your win ration so it doesnt matter how much you wager?

That sounds cool, but again the person with high bankroll  will have more chances at winning. i think the tournament should be categorized like for high rollers, medium rollers and low rollers, everyone will have good chance at winning in whatever category they want compete in.(depending on their bankroll)

That sound so cool. If your liking card games or card gambling then do it. If you want mind game, it will be fit on you. Keep calm, think wisely. Nonetheless, keep your eye on your opponent. Observe them in there expression then you know it if it's a win win look or not and be patience as always.

No it's actually better if you just gamble normally and don't go for the casino tournaments as last time betcoin had done a tournament they ended up scamming all the winners price amount and in past we have seen other casino sites are scamming it users throught these contest. Just gamble for profit or fun or for whatever reason you gamble.

Poker tournament is a popular tournament on casino stuff maybe within 1 week or 1 month you can see at least a tournament held by some gambling sites with big jackpot. If you would like to test out your skill, this is a right chance to prove it.

It's a bit of a luckfest, but I managed to win a few hundred dollars a couple of times. Worth it if you have the time imo.

are you perhaps affiliated with oshi.io? just guessing cause OshiHugo * (>*o*)> - - ☼ ☼ ¥#¥
i don't really get enough wins to be able to win a tournament based off of points won by placing more bets.
it's like the guy who has the most and is willing to spend the most wins by default.
there isn't a level playing field between a broke gambler and a rich gambler.
slots are my favorite form of gamble anyways so there is only luck and no skill to be involved meaning you wont last long enough to take him 1st unless your extremely lucky or have the highest bankroll. good luck on all your gambling adventures though.

Yeah, I also work for Oshi but I am here as myself, as well. And I try to connect things that I am interested in with things that might be helpful for Oshi to deliver the best user experience.
And it's interesting to see how many people just don't belive in tournaments.
I mean Oshi now has the tournament where you get points based on your win ration so it doesn't matter how much do you wager but houw you are lucky. Which seems reasonable to me.

If you are low roller you can bet 1 satoshi or i don't know what minimum bet in oshi is and beat high rollers.
Everyone has the same chance to win and the luckiest player will win no matter if he is high - medium or low roller. It's something completely different from wagering contest where you don't stand a chance against high rollers.

It's usually only poker tournaments, and my poker skill is mediocre at best. So no, I would rather not embarrass myself.
I would like to see other types of tournaments, but it is hard without proper, popular and balanced pvp game other than Poker.

It's not that I don't like tournaments they are fine, and the more tourneys the better.
I have no idea whether tournaments are not manipulated, I guess everything can be, so just don't treat tourneys as your golden chance to win, play as usual.

Id like the idea of joining some tournaments but first I must look at the inner part of it since it will all depend on my own standard if the tournament is worth to join. You mean casino tournaments with all just games with pure luck? If that's the event then it I must see the structure and terms first but not my priority since I want some strategy based tournaments and not like you must be the no.1 that will do a big waiger or something like that.

Yes there are fake tournaments especially online as we don't know if the winner is a real human. About the experience, yes I had been in some gambling tournaments but all was done in real world and not on online world.

Yup, I will also get many messages from different sites to participate in their tournaments, but I never tried this. I am not a pro gambler to play a tournament I just play this for time pass. and I know if I try this tournament I will lose my games. So I don't like to risk my money on this tournaments.

Slot tournaments? Then no one would really join up unless if theres a big prize pool in the end of the tournament.Knowing that slots games do have slim chance of winning and reaching out a certain goal will consume money and would really worth if the prize would be only small. :D. Im interested on joining some tournaments but depending on what game because i do have my own expertise.

For example have you seen Oshi's new tournamnt? What do you think about it?

Yes i ever joined tournament, but it is too much trouble, I need to wait for the player to complete then I can start to played and due to the different timezone sometimes I need to wait for the player, the idea of the tournament is great the prize is also great, but it takes a long time to be the winner, it is suitable for the professional gambler, not for amateur gambler like me
in fact i have still no idea about that how to be part of a tournament. actually  have recently start using online gambling therefore i do not have any such idea, but still  can mange how to invest and hope to play gambling one. i really want to be a part of a tournament, as i like to compete with other. hope very soon i will able to play in a tournament.

Well most tournaments (or maybe promotions, not sure if we're all talking about the same thing), are usually catered for the high rollers. It's practically hard to give away stuff to people who are just betting small amounts. Casinos want high rollers, so most of these are more advantageous to them.

Obviously there will be an instruction that will take placed prior to the tournament.

The questioned here now is, if we can able to get those requirements needed in able to take part of the competition or if it's really possible to achieved the target. Online tournament is kinda difficult for me so I preferred only to participate in real and live tournament at real world.

Slots tournament is good, there are many casinos offers this kind of tournament but most of them are just like wagering tournament where big bankroll players will dominate the tournament. If you can offer something different that it would be great.

If only the Casino have selections for ESports tournaments, if they did then they would make a bunch of money because I know a bunch of people that would want to have a part in that type of thing.

I haven't participated in any gambling tournament other than playing Texas Hold 'Em for fun instead of with fake money, since it was with fake money I am pretty sure that it wouldn't count as a real gambling tournament.

LOLi kinda find it fun though as long as you're nit playing with bots. I think there are a lot of online poker tables that allow you to play with other players without depositing any amount. it only becomes boring if you play with bots as there wouldn't be sny sense in playing poker thst way at all

The only tournament that I went so far is in a land based casino. Its a slot tournament actually. I was picked because that time I won a big jackpot in a slot so I was automatically enrolled in it. I totally forgot if their is a entry fee or not. But I take part of the tournament where in we played a certain slot machine and we are given like 30 minutes and the winner will be with the most amount of bankroll when the timer is up. Unfortunately, my bankroll is swept at around the 20 minute mark because I always used max bet 30 lines x 20. I got a few jackpots but I wasn't able to really put my bankroll to x3 or x4. I guess I wasn't lucky that day.

Just once. In a small time poker tournament where the buy in is at a very minimum. I thought initially that I'm capable to at least beat out a couple of players since it's a small time tournament but I ended up being booted out first.

Well that is if the tournament is a free one. If you play in paid tournaments most of them start quickly as there are limited number of seats, I love playing Rummy and there are a few sites which I often visit and play.

Though I always wonder if the site is cheating with me but I again start playing the next day, actually games where the cards can't be disclosed for the opponent before game there is a cheating possible by the house ( the site ).
I am not sure if there are any BTC based rummy games out there.

I was join in a tournament before but not in oshi but never win in poker since i am not a pro player of poker sometimes i am just gamble for fun not for making any profit.
Playing online poker tournament is hard because you can't even know or analyze their faces if the opponents are holding  a worst cards.
But its more entertainment because its tournament but never got to be won before.

I played in a poker tournament once, because it was really worth it. The entry fee was much smaller than the credit you were getting to play with and you didn't have to win it all to get a prize, just beat the guys at your table. It takes more time, but if you're decent and everyone at your table happen to be bad you'll win some cash.

Tournaments are good opportunity for high rollers to be active and win part of prize. But i cant remember my last tournament event on bitcoin gambling sites. Cheating issues, non-fair countings on this kind of events force me to think twice before joining. Mostly join to slots tournament  and my bigges win was on 5dimes poker tournament.I wagered more than 3 bitcoin on that poker tournament.

You mean the contests and tournaments especially designed to further more take your money from you? I wouldn't trust those casinos because one of them promised to give me 100 free spins if I did participate in their so called tournament only to find out that they let you have 100 free spins if you deposited 1BTC. I'd rather die to deposit that much just for a stupid game which I know I'll eventually lose.

The same is the case with me, all the tournament and the talk of gambling around me going on is based on poker and sometimes blackjack which both I am not quite sure how they work.

If someone is actually good at playing poker game and believe they can win easily, I can give you links to tournaments with like no entry fee and the prize is a big one, approximately 0.25 BTC worth. Never bad to try your hand but remember a lot of experts play there. If you win some, maybe tip me then.

I took part in a few tournaments where the entry fees was either zero or just negligible because we are just testing our luck.

I remember playing in some poker tournaments at some dogecoin based site where I won a quite too. Then I never saw any such site and seriously guys don't just deny tournaments because there are a lot of participants, remember a winner is chosen among us all and we might be the lucky one today.

well no, i don't participate in tournament because of some reasons:

1. in tournaments like poker, you will meet players that is more skilled than me/you so, the chances to win is low

2. tournament is a time eater it consumes a lot of time. it will be boring to me wait for my turn to play.

What you should expect? If theres a tournament then expect you will surely encounter those good players and if you saw yourself not skilled enough then dont bother to join because you will eventually lose up on the first try out for sure but if you do have trust on your skills then its not really bad to try it out. It does consumes time but nothing would be wasted since you can do other stuffs when its not your turn yet.

Not all, only poker tournament which is a time eater. Other tournaments such as wagering tournament, slots tournament, or lucky roll on dice sites is not consuming to much time as you can manage your own time as you wish.

I don't no. Too much competition for me & I always worry that others might be using some kind of bot & cheating some how. That's just me though being paranoid.
You cannot use bots and software in all games, if you are not winning does not mean that the opponent is cheating. I have not participated in any BTC or altcoin based tournament but I have won significant amount via bet365's free lotto games.

It's hard to hit the jackpot but there are always little gifts in the middle of lotto like the single line and all, you can deposit to bet 365 via neteller which can be funded by BTC ;)

Not all tournaments are wasting time, actually you can manage your own time in any kinds of tournament. But I have to agree that most tournaments requires us to spend big amount of btc in order to win on the tournaments. But there are some tournaments that does not require big balance, something like bounty rolls at bitsler, primedice, and the last one was tournament at Coinroyale where you can win with low balance because the winners are based on the win rate (not wagering amount).

Wagering tournaments are evil! There is no doubt about that. The wealthiest ones always wins them. But wagering isn't the only possibility for slots tournaments. For example we have just launched special win-ration based tournaments at Oshi.io  (http://Oshi.io). All points are given on how much you win relative to your bet size. I.e. : You Bet 1mBTC, win 1000mBTC, Player2: Bets 1000mBTC, wins 3000mBTC. You have a bigger win as compared to your bet, you're the winner!
Anyway, about wasting time. Now those tournaments last for a week. Would you like shorter tournaments? For example flash 2-4 hours lasting tournaments?

spreading more than 50 tables of action simultaneously in a Las Vegas-style room. Various buy-ins of tournaments are offered in combination with a full selection of cash games in limit hold’em, no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, split-pot games, and much more. It seems fitting for to enjoy such competitive action.
it seems that 100% honest, I also won it, with the ability trick

I do it once a month in offline gambling, and do it every week in online gambling, tournaments are very effective to neutralize our greedy levels as well as get to know the professional gamblers, this is not a waste of time because we consciously choose to engage in it, the large entry fee is also a challenge to get great prizes as well.

If you are playing in a tournament, you would want to last longer compared to other people because you want to win the highest prize and that could make you a disciplined gambler. It's fun to participate in tournaments because there would be a lot of players that would be better than you and you could improve yourself with that. More opportunities to grow and be better.

Yes, I do take part in some of the casino tournament before, sometimes I do win some nice prizes from the tournament, my advice to everyone would be to read all the terms and conditions well before joining any tournament, as there would always be some terms and conditions to fulfill for winning the prizes  :)

most of the people who are addicted to gambling they are really play in casinos with different formats, they must also play in government. i think there s more entertainment when you play in tournament, but in tournaments there are more chances that you will lose your own money. therefore  if you should try to play your normal games. now i personally like to play gambling online where i even do not need to visit a casino and can play gambling from my bedroom.

There might be entertainment but I believe  your purpose in joining a tournament is to win and not to have fun.  This is the truth and even if the participants deny it, deep inside their goal is to win the pot prize.  Though I always avoid joining the tournament because I am not good at gambling.

I do take a part in poker tournament with tickets given betcoin.ag for free every month. From my experience there are many players who have high skills who follow the tournament so it's very difficult for me to win.

lol yeah especially for poker. there are times when I thought that i'm already good enough but then the experinced players throw me right back to the ground. if you're a casual poker player, might as well just play witj your friends.

And what do you think about tournaments like those from Oshi.io (https://oshi.io/tournaments) where all that matters is win ration and NOT wagered money? so it's equal. This is kinda a new kind of tournaments so I'd like to know what do you think about that :))
This sounds very interesting, much better than regular wagering contest where "fight" is going on only between whales.
What is minimum bet requirement for tournament and what games are in it?

Open the link to tournament(https://oshi.io/tournaments), there's all the info you need. it doesn't matters how much you bet in this tournament, the smaller you bet and the bigger you win counts the most.

I tried opening their tournaments section, but when I searched for the particular game that had the tournament, I couldn't find it in their game list. Not sure why this was. Maybe I needed an account with them to be able to see the game. Anyway, will try again later with an actual account.

Share your ideas .))

I choose i tournament where i think i have a chance to win, for example there is a poker tournament since i am playing poker all most everyday and i am good with it then i have a chance in the tournament, I've won a lot of poker tournament in most top poker gambling sites. Tournaments are helpful for me in a way that i can play with many poker pros by playing with them i can get more experience.

Sorry, let me rephrase my question.
I don't have time to search trough hundreds of slot games, which slot has lowest bet limit and how low is it?

?
to me i am  good in sports betting, although some time i also visit casino but most of the time i play dice game just for fun and enjoyment. and most try not to invest a big amount of money there. because i mostly like to invest money on sports betting from where i have more chances to make money, because i have already a good experience in sports gambling. recently ICC champion trophy started, hopefully i will show good result in this champion trophy.

I don't like casino tournaments, since they based on luck. If I go for a casino promotion I just prefer a cashback offer.
I do like tournaments though, but only those that offer me a real chance of winning, so I only participate on poker and sports betting tournaments.

Haven't tried tournaments before. The ones I usually see are for card games, specifically Poker, and I'm not much of a fan, I admit. So I don't really bother reading adverts/announcements on that.

I'd like to try out Slots tournaments though, it's just that most slots games have very high minimum bets! (especially with Bitcoin's fiat value as it is now)
2.5 , or 1 mbtc per spin is NOT something I could call fun.

And yeah, how do I know a tournament isn't rigged by the way? Any way for me to check? Thanks.
