Post by: PinayBtc on May 18, 2017, 11:18:39 AM
Hi everyone. I am really not familiar with bitcoin. I just received a payment to my coins.ph wallet. It's been on the "receiving" status since May 15th :(  :( :( :( :( This is really depressing and I don't know what is the problem. Anybody can help me? Thank you in advance.

the person paying you only added a 63 sat/byte fee, while at this moment a 353 sat/byte fee is needed if you want a 95% chance of getting your transaction confirmed in the next 3 blocks.

Since you are the receiver, you have a couple of options (full explanation in the link at the top of my reply)
- asking the sender to double spend the inputs to create a new tx with a higher fee
- i didn't check if the tx was opt-in RBF, if it was, the sender should be able to bump the fee
- you could save the signed transaction, and just wait it out
- you can use viabtc's txaccelerator
- you can do a CPFP
- you can pay a miner to add this tx to the block he/she is currently working on

The transactions fees are way too low. You have two options right now:

1. Using ViaBTC (send your TXID) there, Its a free service but there is an hourly limit and there is a lot of unconfirmed transaction in the network, It could be very hard for you to find a spot because a lot of people are submitting their transactions.

2. Using https://pushtx.btc.com/#/ , Its a paid transaction, It will cost you some money (yours will cost 20$) but It will take less time to confirm and Its guaranteed. If you don't get it confirmed (after 12 hours), they will refund you automatically. https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

If you can't or don't want to use them, then you can wait a few hours/days. If it doesn't get confirmed, the funds will eventually go back to the sender.

Oh :( I really don't have any funds to spend for this :(
How many more days do you think it will confirm?  :( :( :( :(

Once the current backlog gets reduced, there are chances that this transaction may get confirmed. But if that doesn't happen, then the transaction will be dropped and the coins will be returned to the sender.

There are users that can indeed do this for you. But since ViaBTC free accelerator is full now, the only remaining options are not free. And you said that you have no funds.
Read again the list mocacinno has made for you, maybe you can do any of those - although all need bigger fee or some funds in a way or another.
The only remaining option (also in that list) is again ViaBTC. Try your best there until you it accepts your transaction.
Edit: I think that you'll have to wait though until they mine the next block..

You have to try to use their accelerator service exactly at the beginning of a new hour... They only accept 100 transactions each hour, and since loads of people are using their services, these 100 free transactions are usually gone in a couple of minutes.

How much do you think should I pay to have this confirmed?
And is it possible to pay when I already received the funds?

You are the receiver, you shouldn't have payed anything... It should have been the sender that added a sufficiently high fee.
In your case: the transaction is 1109 bytes, my node tells me the optimal fee for a 95% chance of getting a confirmation in ~30 minutes is 353 sat/byte

So => 1109 byte * 353 sat/byte = 391477 satoshi's = 0.00391477. So, the sender *SHOULD* have payed a fee of 0.004 BTC instead of 0.0007 BTC. He cheaped out on the fee, and the end result is that you're in trouble.

Technically, there is no way to pay the fee after the transaction is confirmed. Your only options were listed in my first post.
