Title: Sapphire 7990 still a good card?
Post by: Gabteb on May 18, 2017, 11:18:46 PM
Hi!
I have seen this on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-radeon-HD7990-X2-Sapphire-deux-cartes-crossfire-Perfect-for-mining-/322520804105?hash=item4b17bceb09:g:Xy0AAOSw1WJZHYnc

It's still a good choice for mining Etherum?

Many thanks!

I think it would be a better fit for mining Zec, it gets hot as far as I know, also if that price is for just 1 7990 then that is way over priced. You're better off getting rx 470/570s at that price.

LOL
What sort of PSU you need for pushing 6 of them? You might encounter all sort of issues with it.
I'd rather split the rig into multiple pieces.

You should mine zcash with that only if you have cheap electricity , this card is a power drawer very low efficiency , but if you don't care about electricity free or cheap then it should make a fast roi with zec.
