This really takes the cake. Although 5% gain in 24 hours is nothing uncommon for Bitcoin, this increase has come on the back of a very strong rally.
Plus it has come when everybody was expecting a pull back.
The hodlers have reasons to cheer.  :)

I can soon start digging out my old threads to smear that shit in the faces of all those duckfucking non-believers. It's a shame the Core devs have gone rogue at the current times when BTC is entering into the next adoption cycle.

The BlockStream bankster funded Core quasi dev team refuses to increase the block size limit which would decrease TX fees dramatically. They don't do it because they don't want BTC to scale on chain. They have patents that would only be profitable if the Bitcoin network switched to their SegWit pseudo-solution. Total corruption in action. Mike Hearn and Gavin were visionaries who foresaw this issue long time ago, it's a pity that people (me included) fell for the troll army and censorship back in the day when Bitcoin XT was proposed as the solution for Bitcoin's on chain scaling. The reason shitcoins like Ethereum, Ripple and Litecoin are in a crazy bubble right now is the high TX fees of Bitcoin. You give BTC bigger blocks and all of sudden all those worthless alts will be worthless again. We don't need Ethereum to have smart contracts for Christ sake. Ethereum is like pets.com during the dot-com bubble.

Nope, again price is came down to 2010$ in chart. This is little fluctuation I know but seeing bitcoin 100$ plus will not be realistic in the bitcoin. As Segwit completes and activated on litecoin. Bitcoin price is moving higher. Can we see the bitcoin value as 2500$ in this year Christmas.

Of course, today we perceive such growth of bitcoin as holiday gifts for Christmas. With this I completely agree with you, but we must understand that during the same hours, Everything can change in another direction.

i though you mean reaching it in the next 12 hours, and reading the comments gave me the same idea. but looking at the charts price reached $2101 @coinbase and 2099 @bitfinex (and fuck bitstamp i no longer check it LOL)

what do we think about the dump that came after it though, that seemed to be crazy! it was dumped down to $1993; didn't last though.

I didnt have that prediction but I did believe it can grow more. With the amount of bitcoin to be mined getting lower and lower it will become rare.
As far as I know rare items are supposed to be valuable. Bitcoin did soar that high amount and keeps on doing it.
I guess there are still many investors coming even with a high price.

You say hodl like us poor people holding to our few Bitcoins is gonna change anything, only people having 1K plus should hodl hard and never sell below $5000 under any circumstances for us to see the impact otherwise it wont make any difference, and when you buy if you put it in your address/wallet and forget it that as well should have an impact on price, currently I'm hodling my 4.5BTC on an exchange with a price of $3150. :)

If Bitcoin didn't have these kinds of fluctuations I believe %70 of all the community weren't here at all, they are here to earn from the same surprises.

 

I've predicted 5k and 17k. 5k is probably going to be the next bottom after we reach 17k

I know for a fact that there are days in bitcoin price where it fluctuates from $1600-$1700 in just 24 hours. I was quite shock about it really seeing the price jump. So there is a possibility to jump the price to $2100 in matter of hours. There maybe a few dumps, its inevitable, but seeing how the general public has fully trusted in bitcoin, the price could rise and possible make a move to $2500 in a matter of days or weeks.

LOL... it came down pretty fast as well. Zoomed from $2,000 to $2,100 in one hour. And after that it came down to $2,000 in the next one hour period. A lot of profit booking seems to be going on.

It's amazing to see bitcoin value recently, I'm wondering if this escalation is being manipulated by whale trader or not ...
I'm kindda afraid if next wave will be massive dump for bitcoin

these little price corrections are amazing.
you can see market is so active and healthy, it is eliminating any chance of this being a bubble when each time we are seeing yet another dip after the big rise in correction and then continue on upward.

I completely agree with you and I see that not only I alone think that after active growth we will observe a sharp collapse. Still, the Bitcoin post will even after a large-scale loss. Of course it will be a pity to watch the loss especially for those who saw growth this month and invested in Bitcoin, although this justice will bring profit by the end of the year to 100%

I think the speculators are having a ball, and who knows where this will end? Bull markets climb a wall of worry.

It is good to hear that the price would peak again,but i would like to see some changes in transaction delays and transaction fees .The only hurdle that would hurt the growth now is the delays we are facing right now and i am not sure what the future holds for bitcoin if it is not adaptable for the mass audience because you simply cannot keep on increasing the transaction fees every day for a confirmation,it has to stop somewhere. 

Guess I missed the entire rally,  because I didn't see it hit $2100.  Must've been asleep, and now we're at $1999 roughly.  These are strange days we're living in,  boys.

It feels incredibly well that my wealth in Bitcoin has gone through the roof. Even to such a level, that I have more wealth sitting in Bitcoin (due to the increased price), than I have in savings.

I haven't sold anything yet, and I am not planning to do so any time soon. Even though we have gone up in such a quick fashion, I still consider current prices to be peanuts as my focus is solely long term.

It's a shame that we have such a great rally in price but in development we are on a stalemate since no one wants to start doing what is needed for bitcoin's future growth. Everyone just seem to accept bitcoin such as the Japs, Koreans and Aussies but apparently we still have the shitty tx conf times on top of it all.

The bitcoin price reflects its power for the future of online monetary transactions. The issues bitcoin has now won't last forever, at some point it must be fixed to have more adoption and positive feedbacks from its users.
Bitcoin is dumping a bit now, I think it have already reached to the maximum price for this moment, a stable price must be found to start increasing again.

At the beginning of the month we were passing Bitcoins previous all time high at $1600 a coin now a few weeks later we are seeing it pass $2100 a coin of course we have a good reason to cheer got to love the cryptocurrency market ^^.

I haven't seen it did pumped to $2,100 either. And I don't know that the price went back to $1,999 either. The price right now is at $2,011. I saw the price went to $2,054 and I thought it will be a continuous process. The same thing will happen again, the price will fall shortly and after falling it will pump again and will reach new ATH.

It is more okay because more people valued bitcoin recently. It's enjoyable that others speculation is like that. Price correction is an okay. If the price going to be like that? Then at some point, you must ready yourself because the price may decrease then. It's the truth that slapping you in the face.

It's testing the bottom support near the 2K range if it trends to far below that price it will collapse otherwise it probably will just continue onwards on its upward price spiral. Although we are already treading new ground with all the ATH's being passed ^^.

Always a the same move of bitcoin's price, fluctuating to high and low price. Many are speculating that this year we'll be reaching new ATH. And I don't know what will be that price before the end of the year. But it's going to be a good price if it can be stable at $2k and we will make it as the new floor price of bitcoin.

Yeah. Especially those ones who cashed out their bitcoins a month ago. I am one of them. I lost 800$!!! >:( If I would just be more calm... But what to do?!

It bumped up but then there was a correction back down. I'm amazing to see how ... ok stable isn't the right word, but how the price is holding up. I thought we'd have a major correction a long time ago. Good thing I just HODL on for dear life either way.

This is good. People who are satisfied with the current price will book profits. We do need sellers; we can't have bitcoin trades taking place if there are only buyers. Once profit booking abates, we will be ready for the next rally.
