Nice to see but I don't get it, are they closed or not. Up until this week taking bets?

Unfortunately they closed the site without citing any valid reasons other than pursuing other interest despite being a profitable outing.People who made a bet for future events before the shut down will still receive their winnings.

Why are their still pending bets on this site?
They closed all operations to do with their sports book part of the site.
They should have settled any thing that was still outstanding.
That is very unprofessional of them.
And you can still retrieve your funds because they have their casino part of the site still opened.
So they didn't completely do an exit scam so to screw over their customer's completely.
If they don't honor it then you can complain and then put up a scam accusation against their site's side that is still in operation. Good luck to you man! ;)

Because the games or events, he did a bet on have still have to happen. In short, they all are still far in the future when he placed his bet. Unfortunately, directbet closed down even before his games happened. From what I read from their site, is that they will honor every all bets placed before they closed down, it's just that they are not accepting new ones.

The problem I see here though, is what happens if OP wins this bet? If he wins that $9,000 bet, then the casino is already liquidated. I mean what if they don't have cash anymore to pay OP, what do you do? There is really no way anymore for them to pay up and a scam accusation is useless, since there is already no casino that would want to protect their reputation.

Fortunately I don't have any pending bets there and all of my bets got settled just day before they stopped accepting bets. We will never know why they have decided to close one of their successful sportsbook.

@OP thanks for opening this thread this will help many others who still have pending bets there. Hope you will get your wins.

They are not totally closed down hence there are still pending bets that should be done too so that players could able to withraw if they win or not because if directbet will totally shutdown shall we say site is down all funds will gone for sure and they dont really like to do that as they are still building their good reputation to the public still and they dont want it to be destroyed because of those pending bets.

I fail to see that there was any such thing happened. They only mentioned that they are closing site I.e that means they won't be providing their sportsbet services. Bet prior to announcement should be settled without a doubt which DirectBet already cleared. Also DB are clearing it's affiliate payouts.

As for the the OP, what michkhima said is right . Bet event hasn't got an outcome. But since bet was confirmed prior to announcement, there is no doubt bet should go unsettled.

Their reputation will not destroyed in this case i believe and one thing for sure their is they are pretty much busy for answering those inquiry pending withdrawal of affiliates commision or whatsoever stuck balance to their site thats why this thing happens up, And if he could wait this things will be fix by their management and he's so unlucky for still betting while devs of directbet are giving already their announcement that they will end up their gambling lives here.

I think if just a closed those pending still alive they will pay once the game was finish.
Maybe the site will totally closed after the pending bets are done.. but we need to wait for the result and see if they will still pay for the rest of bets

They do give announcement but in a faster way and they decide to close up directly thats why public or bettors are quiet shocked on what happened.If they do tend to close i think its better to make announcement 1 week before they decide to close bets so that public would really be aware and avoid to make such bets already because they know the site will gonna close soon but still no worries as of now they will surely be paid off.

A confirmation too have been given by the directbet authority. Nothing to fear then, even in the closure statement they have perfectly described that all the betting done prior to the closure will stand and will be settled one after the respective game ends.

i've noticed that other bets made prior to closing have been getting paid, even after the closure announcement. this is a good sign.

So this is basically the cut off junction point you expect to payout the majority of bettors who used your site to place their wagers and not being notified well in advance of doing so?

Such a shame they're closing down, not to take any more bets. No real reason has been given but it's nice to see they're leaving the scene honestly. Would have been really easy for them to run with funds.

Everyone feel that it is because of the double spending and late in getting confirmations, some people also speculated that it was because of the match fixings in the Indian Premier Leagues. No one knows the truth but Directbet. Hope they will be back after some days.

IMO reputable companies dont send withdrawal amount with low transaction fee which can result double spend.For prevent double spend try to confirm transaction faster with viabtc transaction accelerator. Just my two cent.

in this case you should contact their support to make sure that you really get your bet. And btw i had some pending withdrawal to on other site, they put so low fee like aroudn 30k or lower and it takes around 48 hours ++ to get my money to my address. After you email them and if your money still not get confirmed, you should wait more less 48 hours. Directbet will never scam people money for sure because they always pays

My pending bets were settled after the announcement they were closing.

It would be nice to see them come back in the future, with better odds. I always felt their odds were low, and I only bet when I saw value.

If they don't come back,  I hope somebody fills the gap they created. It weird as they say they won't be selling. I am hoping for a similar/better gambling site, or someone make them an offer they cannot refuse.

Base on directbet announcement they are close.. just read some post above they are still active but you cant bet. it means they are still active but they are not accepting new bets they are waiting all bets will be settle and i think many bettors are still waiting for the result of their bets..
You may try to bet in nitrogen sports as alternative if you want to bet in cleveland.

I really wish to see Directbet.eu coming back in the future, to be honest, I still can't find a sports betting site that is comparable to Directbet.eu on live betting, Sportsbet.io website can be quite unstable sometimes especially during live betting as the site could hang for a few minutes after you submitted your bets and during this short period of time, if either team score one goal in soccer match, the bets won't be accepted anymore.
