Alza accepting bitcoin as a payment method is a good sign of adoption that is happening in Czech Republic and maybe like Japan, they will accept bitcoin too and make it legal. Bitcoin being accepted in the largest online retailer in their country might make those who are leading Czech Republic know that bitcoin can be used for good and not only for bad reason and I think this might boost price.

I never heard of them because I never used a Czech provider but I am happy to hear another retailer accepts Bitcoin.
Sort of niche but not really as that is a market that targets a whole country and is their biggest online presence so it's good to focus on them and not just the big nations.

I am not a big holder, but I really happy to heard this news. Day by day the ecosystem of bitcoin will grow and attract more people to use, invest, trade it or just spend it.
When a big company start accepting bitcoin as it payment, a big day will come for bitcoin.

2017 is really the year of bitcoin. There are many good events that gives off a positive vibe to the industry. Alzas move to accept bitcoin is just a sign that bitcoins merit was already exposed to big companies and enterprise in the world. Sooner or later we can already buy even one candy using bitcoin . Hope with possible activation of segwit on september the miner fee will drop so that we can make small transactions without handling a large fee.

Never heard of the company before but as usual any organisation or company that begin to incorporate bitcoin into their payment systems can only be a good thing, every little helps.

Basically every year has been the year of Bitcoin as the demand has been growing exponentially throughout the years.

Other than that, activation of SegWit will have some sort of an impact, but the problem of network spamming will remain an obstacle that will continue to result in high overall fees.

Entities spamming the network will up their game in order to achieve the same result as they do now. It will be more cost intensive, but I am sure that they will continue with spamming.

It makes me think that bitcoin might be adopted faster in eastern Europe rather than western Europe and USA/Canada.
The btc record price level draws attention and some companies start to follow the trends.

I am from Russia and I know Ulmart and I have made couple orders there, but I didn't know that they accept bitcoin. I've just checked the site and didn't found any information about it. Are you sure that your information is correct?

Great news. Always when some big and popular companies starts to accept bitcoin, it have only posifive affect to bitcoin development.
Some time ago one very popular retailer in my country also started accept bitcoins on their onlinse store. But I'm sure that so far they don't have many customers who paying with bitcoins. I hope that in future they will start to accept bitcoins in their physical shops, not only online.

First Japan came on board, now the Czech Republic and also Russia < in a way, with them you never know > I hope this positive trend will spill over into other countries like India. People should just remember to support these businesses, when they do this. If you do not buy with bitcoins, they will stop supporting it.

Use the ATM's, convert the fiat you would have spend into bitcoins and rather pay with that. Keep 80% of your bitcoins in cold storage and spend 20% to support the Bitcoin merchants and services who are supporting us. ^smile^

Another win for the crypto industry. I think this is really a positive news for bitcoin specially in Czech Republic. They can easily purchase product online and used bitcoin as mode of payment. For sure, they will definitely get a lot of customers because neighboring Russia is also planning to embrace if not regulate bitcoin used as well.

This is another good news on the wings of Bitcoin. However, we should not expect Bitcoin holders to be splurging on them since most of us are holding into the currency due to its appreciating value. Bitcoin is now becoming a speculative medium and this is quite true in Japan right now pushing the value to astronomical heights.

Wow that's amazing. And awesome news for bitcoin - new merchants accepting bitcoin will always generate positive media coverage for bitcoin and increase the usage of bitcoin outside of pure speculation and potentially making the price of bitcoin more stable as well.

Agreed. If bitcoin was used for purely speculation purposes then there isn't really a reason for anyone else outside of the day traders and speculators to be using bitcoin. But now more and more retailers are accepting bitcoin the trend is changing.

However it's taking a lot to spend a single transaction now, hopefully transaction fees can go down some time soon. Otherwise real life retailers will never be able to accept bitcoin because of confirmation times.

Same here, never heard of it. But again like you said the more people use the currency the better. I honestly don’t see how they think it is stable enough to use in a big platform like that but I am glad they are using it because it helps bitcoin become more popular and well known. I hope stores like Amazon will do this too. That would be really good.

Great stuff, I hope Amazon and the likes will follow suit because Bitcoin has come to stay and the earlier they all accept the better for the world and their business.
