Title: Jumped into Bitcoin trading can i get some advice
Post by: chadchen on May 29, 2017, 04:35:32 AM
So yes, I am greedy and always want to make extra money. Have been knowing of bitcoin for awhile. I use the alphabay, please don't judge me, i have a condition i can only get meds from the darknet. After depositing through coinbase and seeing my deposit jump when they cleared, i invested money that i social engineered, so it was a test. I put in 2000.00 in different times, with ethereum also, right when the boom happend. so Im riding it out, not knowing shit, I buy more 1500$ at 2479, i sell when i see the market really crash so i still made a big profit for not knowing anything, now im worried about what to do with the incoming 1500$, i just saw the market hit 2700$,(then crash) the money hits on friday, any advice.

either if i sell i really dont lose, but i hate losing a dime. would i hodl or sell. or spend on alpha?

edit: i guess the crash, because they sold again in panic, and started a new correction...great...

i can't really decide if you are trolling or high on something.
in any case what you are calling crash is a simple correction in the market because of the rise from $1200 to $2700 and correction to $2000.
you can continue calling it crash and keep your fingers crossed for $1500 but that doesn't change the low possibility of that happening.

and price has been stable above $2000-$2100 for the past few days after the bottom at $1850.

Here you are asking only for own loss of few hundred dollars , you should also see at the price and earner and also to the looser during the investment .
Here I myself made buy 0.1btc and also have already Bitcoin at 2300$/btc rate , and I think I am in loss also but still I have the patience , I will wait until the price get reached to about 5000$/btc , beca this is surity that the price will increase one day , so why we should take tension about this , Just wait and wait until the price increase .
And second thing that I would like to explain you is , you should make wise trade with your Bitcoin with altcoins , in this way you can increase the amount of the Bitcoin that you have .

Isn't this the beginner section and help?? Ask a question get called a troll?? OK...Its no panic i know it's stable at 2200, and really i wouldn't be losing anything, I do have the patience, but is it worth such a big investment for a little return. Also I have never had any experience in investing like this. So making over 1000.00 profit in a week isn't bad, for a noob stoned out his mind, but my other jobs pay more. So this was/is a hobby.

back to business....just curious to how all this works, i do a lot of overseas business and have a feeling when asia wakes up things will change. Though this may be a stupid question, but because of the drop, and people buying into the bitcoin hype. when it goes up will those people dump to recoup and try to get their money back? If that happens, will it make another crash. I do see bitcoin hitting 3000.00 but not for a lonnnng time.

Mate, the more you panic the less you're going to get.  If at every point you're terrified of it dropping and you're monitoring the price too closely, you'll end up panic selling and FOMO buying and you'll probably lose.

Have a look at the Wall Observer thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.341460), which is the main one here for price speculation.  But if you're not either intelligent, good at reading charts or capable of learning to read charts and fundamentals, don't rush in because you're likely to lose.

The closest thing to a certain way to gain from speculation is to completely forget about some Bitcoin for ten years or so and then come back.  After that, you might be pleased...

Noone can aswer you that, because if someone could, he would be billionaire then ;).
Price is widely adjusted by pure chaos and so many factors that you can't predict it. Its best random number that computers ever generated :)

You sound like a gambler just starting out. In such case, there is just one good advice: Stop. Let it lay there for a while and then come down, when your head is cool again.

If you survived correction to 2000, then you will survive its possible finish to 1600 also. In couple of years bitcoin will attack 10k USD per unit, so if you have spare money, youd be doing yourself great disservice by gambling on it.

Even seasoned traders lose money that way, I had to learn the hard way, that I am not better than them. Altough, idea of quick riches is intoxicating. Sure.

if you want survive in trading life, i suggest you to set a stop loss and a teke profit too, before place order.
After place order, if it goes fine, you can do a trailing profit, i mean move your TP highest if you are long or move your TP lowest if you are short...
Respect your rules.
Be disciplined.
If you don't respect this rules you are not a trader but a glumber!

good luck!

I suggest if you have money to spare maybe get a subscription for Gunbot or a similar automated trading program. I'm not quite sure how or if they work, but I've looked into their thread here on BTT and people seem quite pleased with the results.
