What is the good altcoins to buy now?

Hi there,

I'm new in this world but I would say it depends on your goals.

You can either:
- Put your money on an ICO

• Do a lot of research and reading in order to assess if the project is worth it and has a good future
• Some of them have good ideas but I don't know if they will/can succeed (Crypviser [Cybersecurity], SunContract [power contracts]...)

- Buy some new coins that make you enthusiast (I bought some coins that offer a good idea like Humaniq [Unbanked people], SingularDTV [Netflix like], Ardor [Nxt 2.0], GameCredits [Gaming platform - New project "MobileGo" on the launch])
- Buy some coins that already are on the spotlight (Stratis, Lisk, Waves, Eth, Nxt...)

We can never know but in my opinion (and it's only mine), when I invest I try to seek something disruptive !

The best altcoin to buy now if you have a long term view is litecoin! Few months from now, you will see litecoin moving towards $100. But if you need to make quick money from altcoins market then I will advise you to buy lisk and ripple.

Never invest in altcoins to make money in one night, You cant predict anything in the crypto currencies world. Its better to invest little by little and see the growth over time or Invest everything in BTC. Seeing the popularity of Bitcoin, you will be in profit in the future for sure.

Ripple or NEM

digibyte is skyrocketing now, it offer a wider range of good feature, i would invest now before it's too late, still very cheap aunder 1000 satoshi, DGB is also backed by chinese, you have also the stable option such as zcash and ETH, you can also try to invest in ARK and startis, they have nice roadmap, other ico i don't like them they have to much copy paste with nice face and nothing substantial

for me you need to found out first on which coin do will you get a profit whether for a long term trading or it is for a short term trading its up to you, for me for a long term trading you may also try eth,it has  a good market value and it is there for almost a years, and you may also try a new coins like our new coins in exscudo, it will be soon be published right in the market, it is eon. I thing EON will be one of the most successful coin in the market i think you may also try it, try to invest in the coin that you think you will get a profit.

ETH and ripple that i pick but in bittrex i choose on humaniq ,  RLC because the spread is a little far and 5-10% profit we can get

I would say XtraBytes(they are growing good), Ripple, NEM as a small amount investments and ETH,STRATS, Waves, are a little bit more expensive, but seems to have a good future.

I think Bytecoin has a good future and is good to buy a few now that they are cheap. Even if it doesn't go up in value after sometime, your investment will be small as the price of 1 Bytecoin is 137 satoshi. This coin can be also mined through a good CPU like G4400 dual core or an old i5 of old generation quad core. It doesn't cost you nothing in energy as many processors now at least intel has max TDP of 65 watt. Worth trying.

I think you should buy Nem or ethereum classic. They are awesome coin which will surely give you profit in the future

If you are planning to make money,look for new ICO ,go to their slack channel and have a discussion with them ,make sure you really understand what they say and they are transparent and then make an investment ,i think it is one of the most profitable way to earn money here,i would prefer litecoin because i think we will see a rally in that in the future and look for other coins which are near their ICO amount and make a wise decision.

I think you should buy Altcoin Ark and Gup, because both of them I think look very good, I'm sure in the next few weeks the price will go up, so if you want to buy better from now on.

most of them are new coins and I always believe that new coin can become a revolution in this field. Buy Gup and hold for more than 2 months and you will be very succeed

WBB on  Bittrex of course. It is rebranding to DLS, digital ledger systems, soon with version 5 coming out. The dev has been very dilligent over the last few years and  now has something really different in the works with an actual swiss registered company and real world businesses already lined up to use it when it drops. With less than 2.7m wbb the upside is astronomical.

I am supporting Viacoin because the developer is keeping folks updated on these boards.

DASH / ETH / XRP / LTC

Are the ones I would be backing at the moment. All have done well in the past few weeks with ETH being outstanding, The jump in value for ETH was fantastic!

Dash and NEM are a good choice now a days. You must know that the altcoins market are very volatile and you must know when to ride the trend. But if you are going to buy altcoins and hold for a long time as your investment, I think it is too risky if you are only going to buy one or two altcoins. You must spread your investments or better yet, just buy btc as it is the safest.

Yes I have heard Nem (XEM) is a good bet.

For the long term, Zcoin, ethereum, ZEN / Zclassic

LTC definitely now looks like abandoned puppy, but this will last till someone do not finishes his accumulation, the we can see LTC in the top again. My choice is not based on what i love, only facts are important, and LTC has it.
Cloak expectations are high due to Code opening.
ETC, DASH are so quite so  this is perfect moment to invest.
XMR definitely, but this time will is going to be for real!

RLC in the Bittrex market, its advantages are felt, it has been purchased several times and its sales are very fast. Although with a capital of 0.2 BTC with BTC current prices I feel very lucky. :)

I also do it in RLC, 0.0002 is a good price to buy and sell at price 0.00022-0.00023. the movement is very fast.

I suggest to buy this altcoin this coin is promising and give you profit in the future. This coin is for longterm. Ethereum is my number altcoin I think this is the next bitcoin if the bitcoin die my opinion only. You can buy also this dash this coin pump again , also monero , litecoin and zcash have potential. This coin have big big future base on my own research. It depends to you if you bug this or not. Goodluck I hope you can choose good coin .

I think Ark and Waves could be very big this year, of course there are many other altcoins could be very big this year but not mention. There are so many big fishes in the pond.

Good altcoins to buy I would like to invest now for the long term is XEM and Ripple. Also, ltc and eth though the price is expensive now. Still I beleive these altcoins will become profitable as long term.

New coins have potential to grow in price faster, than the coins we usually use. But there are too many coins and most of them are worthless. Don't you think it is too risky to invest in unknown coins? Otherwise one has to study new coins on the market throughroughly just to know whether one is worth to invest in. That is why I think it is better to invest in old and stable coins about which one can read a lot and which are at least not likely to become absolutely worthless.

Buy Stratis. Been going up this past few days Or buy Golem, it currently down but showing strong signs of recovery. Golem or Stratis or both

Dont buy dgb, i lost many btc because i hold to long for this coin.. :'(

I bought Ark, Nxt and Golem yesterday which I am planning on holding for a long time.

For now I buy only xmr ( monero ), eth and ripple not recommended. Eth still up but too high for me and ripple is lower than my analyze ( no future ). " Good " because price not too high and just like my analyze, make me happy of course. Use your 20% to buy monero and watch next week. If you still confuse which one to buy I suggest you not buy altcoin, exchange your money become bitcoin or currency itself. Save your money and wait until sure which altcoin to buy. Good luck.

I also liquidated almost all my altcoins and put everything into ARK. I think it can be very big. Market cap is still very low and even if it just goes up to 100b, it increases almost 5x.

Well for me based on the situation right now, id rather to buy some stratis,,stratis now is on the rising stage so better to buy now and try scalping in the trading but if you want long term, good altcoin for that is ethereum,,ethereum is the one of the best coin right now and they also have the highest volume in almost all of the exchangers try to visit bittrex you'll see in that page.

Xtrabytes .. proof of signature blockchain, active development, they are close to creating the genesis block for their new static chain which will replace the old chain, after which they are going to open up allowing more static nodes along with getting it on Bittrex.

pascalcoin... blockchain tech allows the blockchain to achieve a maximum size of about 6GB beyond which the blockchain can be "trimmed" ... active development that just released version 2 whitepaper outlining their future plans to work on a highly scalable proof of work coin, which is not common. Trades on Poloniex.  Made from scratch.  It's literally one of the only sub $10M market cap coins left with interesting technology and active developers not just developing the same old crap.

Viacoin... litecoin clone with active development that trades on poloniex that's working on segwit. More of a way to play on the popularity of litecoin and segwit than a groundbreaking tech of it's own.

Ark... I need to do more research on this one.. this was the first altcoin I bought with my NEM stake and since then I've subsequently learned quite a bit. :)

I'm doing research of coins above a 20M market cap today and tonight, so by tomorrow I'll likely have a couple more I like.  

if anyone has coins under $10M market cap with active development and interesting tech that I missed, please post them. If it had a silly name I didn't like I might have passed it over when I was digging. Thanks!  Also I did not search the "low vol" coins.

Ethereum classic is good for long term Investment it will be $150 in one year later
if you will invest in altcoins for short term Investment, you can buy ETH,xem and other altcoins
that has high daily fluctuation of price, invest in them will get profit daily.
I just recomended invest in ETH for short term Investment the fluctuation is good for takes profit daily.

I think ARK could have an amazing year, backed by a good team, it has begun its ascent over the last few days.

Im also looking at LBRY. I really like that they have  been focusing on the product prior to hype. I follow lots of content creators on youtube
and have been hearing about huge shakeups in the way they are being compensated for their views. I think the platform is beginning to suffer. People have already begun looking for ways to share their content.

I think ETH is a great investment since it's beat LTC existense especially when Russia decide to legalize bitcoin.
ETH usually adjust with bitcoin so it will increase more than other altcoin

Would rather you to go for SEC (SafeExchangeCoin), I just bought coins yesterday for 180€ or so, and made within less than 24 hours a profit of 153€.
When they will release the new Chilli Blockchain/ Wallet the price will hit the moon, trust me.

Because the new coin in Bittrex is a very good coin and still good to invest in it. So I suggest him to buy a coin recently like Gup, Ark or Edg is also very good to invest it, so your Btc does not stop there and will not wait long.

Many alts are over valuated just now,stratis for example was a good option weeks ago,Eth is  the same situation.

Coins in bittrex are more likely to succeed and generate high profits, so it would not hurt if you want to buy a coin through bittrex. Higher price increases will benefit the coin owner

It's better to choose altcoins that has a platoform such as Eth, nem, waves, and monero. However, if you are really a risk taker, it's better to buy a coin when it's on ICO as it's the cheapest price opportunity to buy them.

Keeping in mind the current value of the coins (checked now at poloniex) I think Nem, Ripple and Maid are the best coins to buy at the moment. Price is low, and will increase soon, so good chance of big profit.
DGB is also going great, but the price has already pumped quite a bit, but still its a good short term investment, invest now and cash in, in a weeks time.

I don't know about ETH but in Stratis success i'm sure. And if you look at the price now, hardly you'll ever see cheaper this is best opportunity currently.
And many coins are undervalued also. BlackCoin, CloakCoin, ZCL, ZEN they should be at least 5x better in price.
Stratis have potency to jump ahead 0.1BTC in long term.

i would recommend waves coin. Just went up to 6 dollars from 2 in a couple of days, and there are very promising news about the platform. Right now it is around 200k satoshi

It would not be an error buying Ethereum, ripple, stratis, waves and NEM...
but this coins are growed extremely... if you would have bigger margins of improvement, you should buy minereum and qtum

minereum, based on ethereum, with unique features and next for adding on bigger exchanges, is extremely undervalued at the moment and has the biggest margins of improvement IMO

Qtum is the asian response to ethereum, and has crazy volumes on asian exchanges...

SC and DGB is one of the first altcoins I bought when I started trading and I already profited from this coin especially with DGB but I'm not saying you buy those coins too. A piece of advise if you really want to earn from trading you need to do your research and learn at least the basic in reading charts so that if something bad will happen on your portfolio you won't be blaming someone because he/she advised you to buy that coin.

I think the best altcoins to buy now are DGB, SC and probably XEM if you intend to keep them long term.

DGB feels like hype but it keeps going and going, lets see for how long.

I think you can assign your investment like this,rather than all buy one coin:
1)About 50% to buy BTC or ETH since they are the basic coins accepted widely.
2)About 25% to participate the ICO with some deep reading and investigation.
3)About 25% cash for buy undervalued coins in your opinion and keep it for a long time.

That right I think also waves is very promissing coin. I bought waves coin last few days and im very happy because when I sell it today I earned profit. But i decided to hold it for few months because maybe the price of wave coin reach $20 each if this happen I earn a lot of money for sure. I hope waves coin will become more popular to the crypto world and I hope many investor will invesf in waves coin.

Very more altcoins is good for buy, you should know project from altcoin you want buy and hold it, example: XRP, STR (Lumens) for replacing interbank payments; DGB, Game Credit  for gaming exchange; XMR for trade in deep web ...

I'd say ETH is the best bet right now, since its still quite profitable to mine and has already a high exchange rate

Here many friends told about the best best stable altcoins but here my thinking is saying something more unique and also I am seeing that those altcoin that I bought are growing constantly .
Here I will say to buy waves coin , dgb coin , Sia coin , bcn coin , bad coin , NAV coin , stratis coin , eth and dash are high so try to make some  profit with the daily increasing price .
I invested only in the Sia , eth , dgb and made about 1000$ profit in two weeks , that is my life's first jackpot earning in the altcoin trading .
But here I made big research for every altcoin in which I invested for about 15 days , so always made research and experiment before buy any coin because non-sense descion to buy any altcoin will always results into loss .

BTC is main force i agree, but with BTC you just can't earn in such ways no matter how good you are and how many BTCs you are holding for trade. Alts are best way for this, this requires to pick  a winner, and this year is so good, blind man can pick one at lest.

I am also convinced with DGB. DGB will have server Minecraft. then on the 9th of June, 2017, DigiByte Holdings LTD will make a presentation called “DiguSign” for Citibank.
and I am sure prices will increase rapidly in the next few weeks :)
 

Yes ETH is best choice to investing short term on exchangers, ETH is good altcoins to be traded,
ETH has much capitalization be compared with another altcoins.
But i don't like ETH for long term investing into it, i choose ETC for long term investing because
ETC is original blockchain of ethereum.

First of all , you need to clear about your strategy and ask some question  ie.
 - Are you a long term guy or short term guy ?
 - Do you know how to trade ? If not learn basics
 - Do you like doing your own reach on make your own decision or would like to follow the crowd.
After that  you will have a clear picture about yourself and your approach.

Ether sounds to be cool now a days. It is taking leap like bitcoin itself and you know the story of bitcoin already it is growing faster. You can look around for ICO coins also. Checkout the sign campaign section and ANN threads for the best coins in the market currently. ICO are taken very seriously and invested heavily. They are very profitable in terms of investment and you can buy them at the start of launches. When the price of token is very low.

I agree on ETH and XRP. But I always hated chinese coin like DGB. Not a fan of them.

Good altcoins are those which are stable as well as show high rates of growth. Some altcoins which fulfill these requirements are monero, ethereum, iconomics and litecoins. These are best altcoins in market right now

Yeah, I am also waiting for June 9 too :) and still holding some of my DGB. I am very confident that DGB will go moon in the next few weeks.

I would say ethereum and monero as these 2 have been performing the best during the past few weeks. There is a steady incline and slight decline in price at appropriate times which is just the correction that occurs in a healthy market. I plan on heavily investing in ethereum soon because bitcoin is way too expensive for me right now and you should look into investing as well.

I will suggest ethereum, zcash, monero, litecoins and maybe Qtum. These are just the ones I trust to be successful Altcoins apart from Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency world.

I must say its the best advice.

I think there are some good project that is currently under Initial Coin Offering.  I won't recommend one since I think you need to do a research on each project personally.  Aside from that, I think it is still good to buy MYR, Maidsafe, BitShares, Bitbay and other coin that have been around for some year with active dev but has not been pumped for a long time.

If I were you I choose the Ethereum, because their price in the market were not stop growing up. Their potential as a coins were limitless. However, there were a times that their value in the market were going down but it's just a little bit.

if its for gains, i think going the pointy end of whats really up already is a tad risky., try ones that are lagging eg old school coins like feathercoin and goldcoin looking well down the rankings yet volumes starting to grow.

Yes, we could divide good altcoins to buy based on the idea and how market react to this coin.
Agree, SunContract is a good project for long term, so its coin should be increase in the future.
Or you can invest on some altcoins which has been famous and has high exchange rate from $20-$700, visit coinmarketcap.com
If your plan to doubled your money, than invest in ico maybe better to start as long as that is a good project and the devs team are trusted person.

Maybe altcoin purchases are a good move right now, whether to invest or trade.
But of course must be selective in buying coins that have good potential in the market, I am currently more likely to choose XRP, STRAT, DOGE as an investment in future as well as in terms of trade

don't forget DGB was also very nice, they have a big news a couple of days in the future about having a server in minecraft.

Dash might be the best coin to buy at the moment. It's actually one of the best coins to invest in.

why does nobody mention factom and ark as worth buying?

I think all altcoins that have good potential are worthy and worth buying, both for investment and for future trading. But I am more interested in ETH and XRP because I think this coin has good potential in the market.

- Strong name: looks like bitcoin and litecoin.
- Still cheap to buy.
- 4 times faster transaction speed then bitcoin.
- Can be mined with a decent CPU, making it more accessible to the general population.
- Good supply of coins (190 billion), making amounts more like we are used too (3.5 or 1.6) and not like bitcoin (0.00000453) or (0.00000067), making it more recognizable to the general population.
- bytecoin will hit a billion dollar market cap very soon

hype coins,

scam coins

legaly socially and culturally enforced coins

and backed coins

scamcoins are the most risky and u will lose with them almost always because the people that released him did that only in order to get more commonly used tokens, hypecoins are bitcoin and ethereum, here u have chances to have speculative wins, legaly and socially enforced coins will come and backed coins are secure and reliable if their backup is reliable

so what u buy depends on what u want to achieve with it

If there's an altcoins I want to buy this the ethereum, even there's a lot of issue in ethereum I believe that they can resolve it. In addition ethereum value were still fighting up, that's why I still support ethereum.

My opinion is only Ethereum for some years holding.

Ethereum is gonna be $1.000 in following years. I think. Because it has a huge potential for doing more.

Waves is also extremely good. But its price was pumped.

The best advice it actually do your own research. You will get so many conflicting opinions here. This is life. Even more so when your precious bitcoins are concerned.

+1 This coin can still double, but now it will take patience and time, my top 3 coins to store for years:

1) Bitcoin (5000$ in a year, 10 000$ eventually)

2) ETH (will be #1 crypto eventually)

3) WAVES (next candidate to 1B marketcap)

Coming from an old timer who doesn't keep anything in alts except for quick high momentum day trades currently, and been in and out of half of the now dead alts over the years - stick with alts that have a use case that no other alt can fill, or is best of its class, or have far reaching markets.  These are the alts that will last and rise, at least for a few years.  If they can establish their markets well and maintain their development, they will stay on top regardless of clones due to brand.  If not, they will be superseded by a clone that will penetrate the market better.  If you're in for just a day, just watch the trends, volumes, and momentum.

ETH XRP are probably the best for long term.

ETC or nothing....

SIA Coin is a really good long term investment and has a lot of potential.

Everyone will have different opinions about the good altcoin right now and deserve to be bought as a long-term investment, I prefer ETH and XRP which is a future coin according to my knowledge of the coin

It would be better to hold in bitcoin itself as the price is increasing steadily.If still you want to buy,you could invest in decred as i think it as the most under valued coin.

Siacoin, Bitshares, Digibytes and Bytecoin are great for investment.

for a Maximum ROI i suggest to buy MNE. It is a new, undervalued ethereum based token.. actually you can bough him on livecoin only, but as soon as it will hit bigger exchanges (adding on big exchanges is imminent), value will increase significant

I think the altcoin worth buying is ARK and Ethereum because the ARK has recently increased and I think it will get better from now on.

Here are the obvious strengths of Minereum:

First coin to self-mine
   Releases in predictable way
   Does not require energy

First to create easy token creation service
   This will include tokens that use the same innovative self-mining process
   Will make Ethereum token use-cases accessible to the masses

Potential world-wide lottery service
   Paid into only with Minereum
   Increases rate at which Minereum is taken out of circulation

Tokens received from services will be destroyed
   Taking them out of circulation and increasing scarcity/value

Bitcoin is the safe option but it won't see the same multiplicative gains it has done in the past, altcoins are the only ones still offering big gains. I don't see that decred as a coin offers much, I would rather go for something like Aragon or Stratis or better yet ICOs. Bancor and Monaco are good ICOs for this month.

What is the good altcoins to buy ?
My observation,( not the research) tells me that when the mother btc rise towards north , alt coins follow the opposite direction i.e. south !!
                 But one should not forget that if there is a rise , there is a fall also ! There would be a profit taking and it would follow a correction. Then would be the time for the upliftment of the alt coins !! The time gonna to start  within a short time.
                 I would like to recommend blitzcash for great and quick returns!! Try your luck.. It's not a forecast but a suggestion my friends..

There are a lot of good coins around, how much profit you want to make depends also on the risk you want to take.
Most top 20 coins are save bets which will increase overtime but not that much anymore (relative).

If you want to take a risk than buy something that is still very low and has not risen that much yet.
I just stepped in Zeitcoin, which is a coin with a high circulating supply and has not risen that much.
The devs are active and i think it can be pumped any moment...just a matter of time since almost all coins with high supply have risen or pumped any time

I'm currently buying off ETH and storing them. Waiting for the prices to increase and will then sell it off.

Also, recently LiteCoin has started gaining a lot of importance too. The pricing is climbing but not as fast as Etherum.

i have all of this coins and i hope i can see digibytes to jump like before. for siacoin and bitshares, i am waiting to increase too because this coins is not yet reach the highest price at the moment. for bytecoin, i think this coins can reach another high price soon so i still have the coins in my wallet. let see what is happen in next week and i hope its getting up.

I think the concept of Ethereum in general has several flaws, but if I had to choose one of them to invest, it would probably be ETC, since it's more decentralized, and it's not going to Proof-of-Stake

I would not invest in ETH. When the change to PoS is coming, all miners would change to an other coin. It would make no sense for the guys with the big hardware centers to shutdown their hardware and forget investments. So no one would mine ETH and the time for approved transactions would rise from seconds to hours! This would kill ETH. Without the possibility to mine a coin, there is only a chance to wait for an artificial pump, otherwise the coin would catch dust.

I bought Xem (nem) for long term other than that is i just do short trades, Usually i trade with high volumes i just scalp for everyday income. At the moment i trade with Sia. I like actually those altcoins with 1sat most of them are at yobit. 

Tokes has the chance to do a 1000x profit IF they actually deliver. If you have some spare change it wouldn't hurt to throw something at them on the off-chance they're successful IMO.

DNotes is another project that's undervalued and has a chance for a high profit (I'd guess it's possible for them to hit 90x if they deliver).

Plutus is another undervalued project. If their PlutusDEX takes off you could easily achieve a 75x return IMO. Upcoming projects (like Bancor) will make it much easier to liquidate the token as well (since Plutus currently lacks presence on the big exchanges).

As far as projects that are nearly guaranteed to turn a profit (however small), there are plenty. Iconomi come to mind (Waves as well, although I'm not sure I like their NXT roots). Bancor and Status have a bright future I think, hopefully they don't become too overvalued from their ICOs or profit will be limited. I have my eye on CoinDash as well (since they have a feature similar to Iconomi, where you can copy someone else's investments).

In my opinion Fastcoin has a lot of potential. The coin has a clear use (12 sec block time which is useful for any application which needs speed), has been solid for 4+ years and has a good and responsive dev team.

It seems to me that the only reason that it only recently started to gain traction is that the old website didn't look good. They've recently updated that. On the positive side, it means the coin is still very cheap.

I am not that expert in trading and in altcoins but I believe on these altcoins and their projects. These are waves, salt, deeponion, minereum, storj, ethereum and bitcoin. For the same, we assume that average transaction fee will be 1/108 th of a TIM.
