How to analyze or predict an altcoin? And how do we know the coins will rise or fall ?? Sorry i am a newbie

Only by closely watching you may get those information. No one could analyze better than you for your trading. So do not expect someone will be listing all your required data. You need to generate them for your own use. When you will be continuously watching market you will get ideas to generate them.

You need to check the initial price of the coin which should be below $1 per coin during the ICO and then the minimum amount raised, market volume and number of investors. Depending on that, we can predict whether the coin's price would fall or rise. More number of traders means the price would either be stable or would keep rising. Other coins depend only on market volume and number of traders and their price starts from $0.01 which can then grow like bitcoins (example Ether and Dash).

Altcoin is a highly predictable digital currency price movement. Because altcoin depends on the vision and mission of the developer. Besides the small number of people who have wealth can easily do pump and dump. If you want to see the movement then you should always see the market in exchange, you will be able to do trading like that. If you use bot i am not sure you will be able to get the best result. Try to do the analysis and also see the graph at any time. That is the most important thing in trading altcoin.

although the prediction of altcoin is just like prediciton of bitcoin. you need to study about the coin where you want to invest you money. you can use ICO from where you can also get good information about the coin.

Prediction is hard to make whether it will rise or fall especially on altcoin prices. Just study some information about their Announcement thread if there are any development from the developers. This update is very significant in making decisions. Do not rely on trollbox, there are whales who are in the business of pump and dump just to profit. You may lose your bitcoins here.

Prediction means it's not a 100% sure. Just like everybody here says, be updated and always read every pages of the thread to see how things are working. Every updates is important and the ICO or how the ICO progress through time is one of the factors. Also when you go into trading you will learn along the way. Build up some knowledge and you'll see that when you have experience you wont have a difficulty if the alt is good or not.

No way to know with certain the future of an alt coin, but you can see some aspects, like if the developer team is professional and trustworthy, if the alt coin offers features which are interesting for investors, if there is a movement behind the altcoin to pump it...

there is no way to know for sure.
you can always use some technical and fundamental analysis on each of the altcoins, specially on the big ones and it may give you some good ideas.
but for the most part, altcoins move based on hype. when a news comes out about them that attracts attention in the community they usually get pumped. so watch out for news. but it is not 100%.

Just visit the coinmarketcap.com so that you may have some little info upon coins pump since the listed coins above their are potential coins at stake, And also Aside from your inquiries I don't think theirs a way to predict those movements since altcoins flactuation are pretty much mysterious and even expert traders cannot tell the exact prediction on its movement in 24hours time.

Here I am much experienced in the trading of altcoin now .
Since it is simple for a altcoin that the news , and viarl news about any altcoin at the international level made the altcoin much famouse .
But still these are for small time .
Here I have a some simple ideas about the altcoins trading and prediction .
If any coin get rises fast and then get dropped to few thousand dollars then make buy again because it will again rise ( my 6 months experience )  .
Always buy those altcoins which have price around 1-2 thousands doller with the 400-500btc trade volume , because future of such types of altcoin never goes down because of the demand .
Last prediction is depend upon the segwit launch , I mean to make a particular altcoin more secure , so that no one can attract at that altcoin , so more and more people will attract toward that coin .

It is so hard to established a certain formula for altcoin trading that will work all the time. Those new coins that recently got a successful ICOs will most likely go up in value once they are already in the exchange. Another factor to consider are nice reviews and good news related to the coin most especially if there would be linkages with reputable establishments.

You should analyze the various information about the coin on various sites and especially do a statistical analysis on the graphs of the preferred coin.

It is very difficult to predict coins unless they are familiar with coins. I only know one way to predict a coin, which is to wait for the latest update or follow the latest updates from the official web or from social media. Like twitter. I've learned to read the charts and studying the candle makes me dizzy ...

For me i think you will search for the coin that you want to buy, their background and if they have a good projects then you can decide if you want to invest or not, and look if they have a potential to increase its value that is the important thing to see or to know in altcoin

I don't think that anyone can predict the movement of altcoin accurately as its never will be in our controls and you just need to go with an flow as there are many coins that disappears even with an blink of an eye so you need to be very careful before investing and you research will only help you in taking a next move.

Yes we must have different analysis before choosing an altcoin for trading. It's recent high and low levels kind of all statistical information will ve very helpful to decide it's potential. There are many trading tools are available to make our job easy but we need to have proper knowledge so that we can interpret them effectively.

Pivot point analysis is one of this kind will be more effective in determining how prices will move. But we need to know how to use pivot point analysis for one particular altcoin trading.

and that's the problem. why do you think so many people call trading as gambling, that is why. altcoins are extremely unpredictable. it is simply because of the manipulations. there are too many whales with a lot of money in the market and altcoins are too small, and sometimes they even have a large part of the coin itself like etherum and they can dump and crush the price at any moment.

this is why i am always surprised when someone says "i want to invest in altcoins for long term"!

 :-XNo one really knows on when an altcoin would pump or dump but if you are already a professional trader you will surely seek up on the most slight piece of information roaming around about news or developments of a certain coin which can cause for it to increase its price later on together with technical analysis you can somehow increase the possibilities that you can able to set-up a good trade with alts.

Its not at all easy to identify the price of altcoin due to mainly couple of reasons:

1) Not many people are interested in this altcoin considering there is not much volume and no surety about its future.
2) Generally this are being bought and sold in groups due to which mainly price is manipulated.
3) Altcoin main purpose if for the profit of owner rather than making it stabilized and survives for long is not the main motto.

Analyze altcoin can be doing with using chart price ( long period time ) and fundamental ( news ). With chart price, we can use indicator to predict an altcoin will rise, fall or even sideways. News is just like big bang on the real market, surprised everyone and give them profit/ loss in short time. Chart price and news is only tools that we can use to predict but actually, no one of us knows when the coins will rise or down. We only can predict, about when is the different story. Prepare our strategy with stop loss and use only 20% from our fund, more practice will develop our skill. Good luck.

 You can't really predict exactly when an altcoin may have a pump or dump but you can generally make a good trade by observation and research. Although it may take time, i usually stare at the altcoin movements and basey trades there. Then read threads about the altcoins in forums as these also will have a lot of information hat would be useful

After I read all the quote I assume that no one knows for sure when an altcoin will experience a price increase (pump)

though prediction of any alt coin is not easy it is so deficult but by research and learnig it is posible.but not sure 100%..You need to research about the coin which you buy.check the chart about 2-3 month before to present. after checking autoimetically you understand what is the future of thit coin.

Now surely there is no way on earth you can predict the price of every single altcoin , if you can then mostly it wrong or idk. Now i can only help you with ethereum and dash. For dash the price mostly reaches 150$ and then drops to 100$ or something around it from last 4 times. So best would be you purchase at 100$ and hold till 130$ to be on safe side. For ethereum on the other hand price falls till 170$ and then rises again , i can't assure you weather this time price will fall as market cap has increased a lot

Some traders are claiming that they are predicting future prices of altcoin by following their road map. But I am not finding any big advantage of following a project just for trading purposes. I use few technical tools which are giving me accurate price levels.

You cannot predict altcoins or any sort of market. If you want to predict it, you would have to factor all the information out there and be able to calculate how the price moves based on that information. That includes not just bitcoin news but other peoples thoughts and emotions, because those are also factors that affect price. What if a whale was in a good mood one day and decides to go all in on bitcoin and pumps prices up by 20%? you wouldnt be able to predict that.

Look at and analysis coins for supply, volume and coin technology, this is like a brief discussion. And to do that requires persistence and experience.

We recommend that traders ask seniors to inquire about the coins we will buy. Also read info from senior traders on social media.

You can predict an altcoin if you will do both technical and also fundamental analysis because those two are very helpful for a trader and mostly for investors because they can find out if the altcoin is a good investment or good price to jump in and do some trades. If you master those two then you can easily make money with the altcoins around the market.

The top 25 altcoins aren't necessarily the best picks for big gains, but the lower you go on coinmarketcap.com the more risk you're taking of investing in a shitcoin. How do you predict where the price will go? It's all luck. Coins get pumped and dumped everyday. Choose a few you like and hold on for the wild ride.

Learn to read charts.  Charts don't lie.

Yes you should learn to read charts especially the candlestick pattern which shows the overbought and oversold signal. Buy altcoins has no different from buying goods for resell! When you buy a laptop at the wholesale price you sell it at the retail price to make profit. You need to bring this conventional idea into trading.

Pumps and dumps are very common in altcoins. They can be figured out through charts. You should know how to read charts. It is a very important step to altcoin trading.

You can get a lot of information and knowledge about altcoun in btt, so often asking and reading is the key ;) ;)

The simple answer to that question is you can predict price if you have some knowledge of that currency. The coins that have low ico price grow faster.

Everything here is predictable, but it need some time for learning some basics, till then just follow the leads, from members with better experiences. Threads like this can be misdirections, especily when you have bunch of new accounts hyping their own coins or promoting their investments, in order to gain better profit..There is no definition how to..You must build your own senses for this job!

Its simple,  You have to Make sure About thouse coin Which you wanted to buy or something,  and Watch the way where it can rich. moral of the story  you have to gain knowledge about currency.
