When google acquires a company it isn't done thru google ventures. So this would be for investment purposes only. Yes he did talk about bitcoins with Second lifer creator, but if you remember he said he reformatted his computer and lost them. He never said if he own any more and at that point. Now I am pretty sure he owns them and is becoming more of a fan getting back into them.
