It's just a block reorg, not a big issue!

bigredmachine explained it best! (found Here (https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/3o21b5/what_does_block_added_as_alternative_on_some/cvtfz4e/) )

Quote
Reorgs happen when there is temporarily a disagreement about what the longest chain is. It happens in every Cryptocurrency, and the shorter the block time, the more frequent it happens. Basically, picture a guy in the Philippines and a guy in Spain each mining what they say is block 780000 at almost exactly the same time. Half the network sees the one guys block first and accepts it, while rejecting the other guys block. The other half the network does the opposite. It's actually not that uncommon for this to happen, but usually someone mining on one of those two chains finds another block and adds it on, and then everyone goes "oh look, that chain is longer" and ditches the other one. BUT, sometimes, the near tie in finding blocks can happen two or three or four times in a row. Eventually, one side wins out, and anyone on the wrong chain has to reorganize. This is why merchants are recommended to wait for a few confirmations before fully crediting a payment for big ticket items. The more confirmations (or the more blocks that get added on top of the one your transaction is in), the harder it is to happen on a reorg. The whole problem is caused by a slight delay in sending signals to all corners of the earth that a miner found a block. The total lag is pretty much ~15 seconds or so. The shorter the block time, the larger an effect that lag has. i.e. for a 1 minute block, that lag is 1/4th the block time, but for a 2 minute block, it is 1/8th the block time.

I recently dont have the time for mining better to say that i have been very busy, i will like to buy some of this coin and hope for the best.

Anybody willing to sell some should send me PM, consider a fact that i will not go first unless you are a DT member, you may as well choose escrow as an option.

Send me pm only if you have more than 100 coin for sale as i am not buying less per transaction.

Some pool would be nice...

For now the only way to mine that I know of is to solo mine with the executable given on the github (daemon.exe). This is enough for the time being since solo mining lets you  mine quite a few blocks per hour with just a simple PC.
Hate to mine in solo with the forknote, better will wait the pool 8)

just frustrating that I can mine monero at 965H/s (on pool) but this new coin only at 75H/s... Guess I'll wait till a pool is sorted.

but of course!
There are no set prices to bounties ATM since its all dependent on how many donations we receive! I have donated 1,000 PC from my personal mining to the bounty to get it started however!

If you have a skill that will better the community, post it with an asking price and I will negotiate until the price is fair for both the community and the contributor!
we currently do not have a set price for anything!

Just an update, the wallet works fine and the synchro was very fast, you do not need any node to get the wallet working.

The problem is from my personal laptop.

Please send your offer prices for PC, i want to buy much.

Dev, could you fix Linux wallet? It fails to compile on multiple machines for me. On Arch Linux with latest everything, I get a whole bunch of errors like this (just different line numbers):

Code:
/home/markasoftware/Downloads/palladium/src/Common/Base58.cpp:89:32: error: this statement may fall through [-Werror=implicit-fallthrough=]
         case 3: res <<= 8; res |= *data++;

And, on my Fedora machine with slightly older versions of some packages, I get this:

Code:
/home/markasoftware/downloads/palladium/src/crypto/crypto.cpp: In function ‘size_t Crypto::rs_comm_size(size_t)’:
/home/markasoftware/downloads/palladium/src/crypto/crypto.cpp:336:56: error: value-initialization of incomplete type ‘Crypto::rs_comm::<anonymous struct> []’
   return sizeof(rs_comm) + pubs_count * sizeof(rs_comm().ab[0]);

Guys. Rapidly approaching my first 100 coins. I'm mostly mining this coin to give me some solid data for some wallet software I am writing. Once I get to 100 coins, I want some more unique transactions in my wallet (I know I could go test net, but why not have fun with it?) so I'm offering a fun game:

PM me your Palladium address and I shall add it to a pool of addresses.
Every time I mine a block, I'll pick an address at random and send them 1 coin and remove them from list.
If you return some of the coins to me - a random amount between 25% and 75% - Ill add you back to the list.
All the time you keep returning coins, you stay in the list.

This should give me a decent level of transactions to play with and it gives others some coins to play with. Sound fun?

"ERROR Failed to resolve host name 'seed.greyblockgames.com': Ipv4Resolver::resolve, getaddrinfo failed, result=11001, No such host is known."

"WARNING Exception in connectionHandler: TcpConnection::read, WSAGetOverlappedResult failed, result=10060, A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond."

Some debug messages that I got while mining, still mine well though.

Guys asking how to mine. here is a quick guide even tho it is already noted in the readme.

1. download the executables.zip and gui.wallet.zip - https://github.com/PalladiumCo1n/palladium/releases
      Extract both.

2. First we need to create a wallet address so launch the gui wallet and create a new wallet
go to the Receive tab and copy the address you will need it for the miner.
After you have done this CLOSE THE WALLET as you have to start the miner first before the wallet for the mining to take place.

3. Now go to the executables folder and run the daemon executable.
After the daemon has synced up ( at this point only takes a min ) you are ready to mine.

4. To start mining simply type
     start_mining WalletAddress 4

walletaddress obliviously being the one you just created and where the number 4 is you can replace this with however many threads you would like to use. ( CPU ONLY atm )

            donations welcome hehe ;) - PLDMYpqVXsfcS8QK6szNkeSmAzHi95c2mTF6zNh4hyMW7rQEYJKX2pT9sMBPHKQ1LmGAysZZVpfC1AQ HjDjnfLdsZ3r31nDzAyo

One of my friend was also interested in mining and his daemon is closing while clicking.

If by "clicking" you mean he's left clicking on the console, that's normal as left clicks pause the console. The screenshot looks normal, his client is just syncing with the blockchain.

I'm however having an issue whenever I'm trying to make a transaction from my mining wallet, it shows this:
https://puu.sh/w9who/b04f3fcbb4.png

Any idea about what's happening there?

has this issue been resolved yet? If not try re-downloading the executables and clearing the cache to resync with the network! Cache is found in windows at
Code:
%appdata%/palladiumcoin
Ensure that you do not delete any files with the file extension
Code:
.wallet
that may be present in that directory!

forum advertisement i guess would be the one that use or serve as a signature campaign unless OP have other ways to advertise this here
in our forum aside from creating signature campaign and if elaborate it more much possible that it will also carry social media campaign I'm not sure yet  but let us wait for OP's clear answer.

It was easy to mine back when PC was announced on reddit but not on bitcointalk, I myself have about 2500PC mined with a regular laptop.

When you open simplewallet, do not type in your address but your wallet file. In the same folder as the simplewallet there should be a .wallet file. If it's called "john.wallet", just type john in the simplewallet.

Okay i will check and do as you instructed and i hope it works fine, is there any news as to when palladium will hit an exchange ?

I will like to know it value and worth.

what hashrates we getting ( My Results )

3 threads i5 - 3570k  = 72hs
7 threads i7 - 6700k  = 98hs

   Both are stock speed atm
using one less thread as the rigs are gpu mining and using all threads drops gpu hash a little  ;)

To see your hash rate use
show_hr

To get rid of the log msg and clean it up i use
set_log 1

Do you have the daemon running ?
is the wallet file in the same directory as the simplewallet ?

Delete your log file and start over and paste it again in here after following these steps

1.Load simplewallet
2.Press o
3.Type name of wallet.   no need for the .wallet at the end as it will add it automatically
4.If you dont have password just push enter

Hi I'm mining it on windows. I believe it doesn't use GPU cause I don't see GPU fires up when I run daemon, cpu is all it use at the moment. Btw, this coin use cryptonight hash algorithm, which better mine by cpu.

Of Course! There is currently a bounty running, send me a PM!
What bounties are currently running and why not post the information here instead of going through secretive pm way?
Let everyone get benefited with your bounty and help grow the community.
I'm sure this project will go according to plan and will be very successful

Did that means there will be no Signature or social media bounty available?

Signature falls under the forum ad bounty! If you come up with a good signature and let me officialise it,  Il also pay you some coin out of my personal wallet!

Bounty is purely based upon donations by the community!

How someone can advertise it at forum to qualify for bounty if there is no proper information or such campaign in this regard. I will watch the thread to catch up more about this.

I've noticed the daemon doesn't accept getbalance (only getBalance) - which is what the pools send, so pools look like they aren't paying anyone (this issue is part of what stopped me making my pool public when I set it up)

Do you plan to get listed on some exchange some time soon?

PS. Good luck :)

Important message about PCPool

Due to an incorrect value in a config file, I had to completely restart the pool, and it looks like I lost all data from today, which might mean some of you might have a lost small amount of PC (<10). If that happened to any of you, PM me the address of your miner and how much you lost.

I apologize sincerely for the trouble and wish you a happy mining.

that's unfortunate, hopefully it wont happen again! :)

1. I had to pay for the server and setting up the pool was more than tiresome, so I put 4.6 as a reference to the atomic number of palladium, wasn't expecting people to actually use it. Also, the difficulty used to be much lower. Anyway, I set it to 2%, it seems fairer that way.
2. It's written on the website, there's an automatic payout at 10PC, yours should arrive within hours as soon as you reach a pending balance of 10PC.
3. The blocks you mined with the daemon are probably orphans, that is why you didn't receive fees - someone else mined the same block at the same time and their block was chosen over yours, sorry :/
4. I am not developing the coin, though I can ask questions to Lukas on the discord which I invite you to join if you have suggestions about anything related to PC: https://discord.gg/xg3D8g

That was a very satisfactory answers. Now I like 4.6 better lol. Btw I suggest using time based payout instead of quantity, that will play consistency for people with different hash rate. Thanks.

Thank you so much. I saw they were written in lowercase on the first page. But now I have another problem. Clemor's Miner makes mistakes ... someone if he's put it on an AMD card to share his command line. Thank you again

Please ask this question in the official discord server to ensure a quicker response! I have no affiliation with the current pools running!

Dev, I would like to mine this coin, is there any pool available? Regarding this wallet, you can not customize it? How will the exchanges add Palladium? Or is it just momentary?

That works out at 15,000,000Sat/1000 shares equals 15,000 sat per share. That is very expensive
Do you have any idea what good companies I can buy at that price?

It's kind of, but look at the amount of coins and how difficult to mine cryptonight coins, price is ok. Dev is working hard, i think it's ok for long time investment.

The are lots of cryptonight coins. Number one is Monero. The rest are way below your price and they have been around and established.
Think about that! Good luck!

How many coins does Monero have? 14.xM coins at the moment. This coin only has 2M and I don't think there are large amount of coins at the moment.
Even Sumokoin has 80M (0.5M atm) and it reached 0.00011226BTC/coin now.
I don't see any problem with that price. If someone is interested for long time investment, this is considered cheap, else I'll keep it for myself then :D

Cool coin idea! I like the algo and the (relatively) low coin amount. If you can keep it a CPU-only mining coin I think that will give it a lot of value as well.

Dev you should post a roadmap or something, also this coin need an exchange, even a not famous one,or it won't raise.
If it's possibile, you should switch to cryptonight-light,and/or add a pos feature. Those things would make you coin unique and different from others.

This project has been abandoned, why is not dev more active? Unfortunately they do not answer my question... So I'll do another, is it feasible to mine soil yet or is the difficulty already high?

Where did you post your question?

and if you have a beefy setup you could probably solomine, but I personally use a pool....

Coin has not been abandoned, the coin is being attacked by another coin so I have been working on a fix!

Update is currently being tested rn and should be released in a few hours!

Hi if you're mining, then use this pool http://84.200.105.175/, as Lukas said it was updated with new fork. Or update the daemon itself from github if you're doing solo https://github.com/PalladiumCo1n/palladium/releases

Yup! We are currently negotiating with around 4 exchanges to try to get the coin on an exchange! For the most part, we are waiting for the attack to subside, we have already released an update to stop them from receiving any coin and to allow for the network to quickly adapt in difficulty to fix itself after they get bored!
