Title: ICO - in which one to invest?
Post by: boranes on June 04, 2017, 10:35:52 AM
There are lots of very nice projects lately and some of them are unique and promising.
In your opinion, what is best token/coin to buy during ICO?

None of them, mostly the tokens represented in ICO are bought to get dumped, I would suggest to buy any community made currency like Bytecoin,RaiBlocks,Burst or anything which can be mined.

there are ongoing some very interesting ICO, like radix, tezos and maybe Ignis. However remember, last ICO has a lower ROI

But there are other coins, which should be in every portfolio.. XRP, XEM, ETC, ... and there are some coins with very very good growth campanches, like MNE, QTUM, ...

hope this can be useful for you

I think that investing ICO is the shortest way to double your money in a short time. And therefore, you need to choose wisely before investing your money into a project because it may turn into a real scammer and takes all the money and runaway. IN my opinion, I think buying tokens are the best choice at the moment

I beg to disagree to a Hero Member. The shortest possible way to double your money is to gamble.(perhaps ICO are gambling too but not the shortest way)

I believe most of them are scams and ponzis from HYIP world hiding behind some fake projects facade.
And ETH is becoming their harboring platform, which is herding sheep for them to be sheared :D

yup, it might be profitable, but its sad

I thought tokens were the same as ICO. Can some one explain to me what the difference is?

ICO is Initial Coin Offering - it is kind of crowdfunding done with cryptocurrency, so you are buying tokens to support project which is totally new.
The problem with ICOs is that people behind ICO can fool you pretty easily, lie about the project and show false information.
They also might just turn out to be unfitted to manage the money, project and fail to deliver in the long run.

You should all invest in real cryptocurrencies. Look what happened to DGB.

The problem is people recommend all these different acronymed coins or what ever without giving any criteria as to why they recommend them. How can I tell which ones are scams? Another thing is that with the ICOs I have not found a listing that includes the purpose of the offering without clicking through a bunch of links. What i want is a list of ICOs grouped by status that has descriptions of what they are planning to do. Does anything like that exist?

It would be better to not invest into ICO. It's easy way to loose money. It's hard to decide which coins have good potential and their devs are legit and which coins are mafe only to scam people. It's not big difference like to invest into ponzi scheme. But if you want to say goodbye to your money then invest in ICO, it's your decision.

SunContract is a promising ICO i think. The SunContract is a platform that directly connects energy producers and consumers into an energy pool based on smart contracts. I want to buy some tokens from ICO for a long term investment. Of course, nobody knows they will succeed or not. But i hope they will.

It really is promising, also to see that yahoo is the one managing the campaign. I trust yahoo, so if he trust this project, then it is good as a vouch from him. Good Luck to SunContract.

I will recommend Bancor, Tezos, SONM and Coindash these are looking promising.

For SONM, one of the members repo returns a 404. The others look ok, but not that experienced from the looks of it.

I'm also looking for interesting ICOs, but Price in most cases is too high, and as soon as the coin come to exchanges, you can buy at lower Price. so i agree minereum is a very Special undervalued Project, with a Investment in mne you could gain more than with current ICO
