Ethereum and ZEC I have been using AMD cards so far. But I decided to switch to NVIDIA. Could I use Windows os with NVIDIA for mining ? Should I switch to Linux ? My MSI GTX 1080 Gamining X gets 550 H/s on ZEC @ 180W with 70% TDP. The 1080 ti gets ~100 H/s more.

+100 core +200 memory 105% TDP, card stays around 66-67 C at a bit over 70% fan (it's in my gaming rig which IS in an air-conditioned environment). The standardized XUbuntu setup I clone for new rigs costs me ZERO. nvOS and his AMD varient are ALSO free. Anyone charging PER MONTH for a LINUX distribution is a flat out RIPOFF.
