Title: Pretty sure Kardiz/Coinzy scammed me out of $1700.
Post by: Dishbuyer on June 08, 2017, 12:32:44 AM
I've been using Coinzy/Kardiz for Bitcoin VCC's for about two weeks now and everything ran smooth as butter. I actually recommend it to a few people after putting $500 or so in BTC through their service. Fast forward to 4 days ago when I deposited $1700 into my account. It's a lot of money and I feel stupid now for doing it. Anyways, I deposited the money and put it all on a single card. When I went to use it it had asked me to log back in to see my card. Logged in and my card has disappeared. Nothing. My balance said zero, and says I don't have any cards. It's been 4 days, I've contacted customer service twice now with not a single response. Even though on the site it says "24 hours". I can't get ahold of anyone from this business about my issue. I believe I was scammed by whoever is running this site. Has anyone else had this problem?

Looks like there are several accusations. I've left feedback but it is best if you can follow this format and provide proof:

same problem here.
Card isn't working anymore
And I deposited funds but they don't show.
Dont' use the service until issues aren't resolved

Loaded card with 40$, money got stuck and had to wait about 5 days to get them in form of a gift card, now i cannot spend them anywhere, even 5$ for discord nitro.
The service used to work perfectly until recent name change from coinizy to kardiz. Cryptopay.me is much much better, avoid this scam. Will update if i manage to use the card.

I've always used that service in past and always worked smoothly....now stopped to work, i didi a test with a small amount and still waiting that amount to show.
Wait that the service back to normal before to send money.

UPDATE

I finally received a response from Coinizy/Kardiz about the matter.

They told me to contact their bank for a refund to their account and they will refund me the balance.

I'll make sure to keep this updated.

Fingers crossed 🤞

OP but why has Coinizy/Kardiz given you the task of contacting their bank when they know better that this is there job!
Hope this does not end in verification requirements before you get your funds back, good luck.

Exactly my thoughts as well, it's odd they would have me do it. I'm not even sure what to tell their bank. I tried adding as much information as possible for them. No response yet, I'll keep this thread updated if I make any progress.

I am interested to see how your issue is resolved, since I have some USD stuck on a virtual visa card there ....
That's too bad. It worked great when it was called "Coinizy" !

I finally received a response from Coinizy/Kardiz about the matter.

So how long did it take you to get an answer from Coinizy/Kardiz?

You may add me to the list of their victims.  Four days and no response from their "Support Ticket" system even though it states "24 hours".  Their "Chat with us" link is dead and non-functioning.

Coinizy/Kardiz meets all the criterion for calling this company a SCAM!

My loss does not meet the legal threshold for Felony Theft in my jurisdiction, so I am not wasting my time on them.  Others scammed out of larger sums may want to follow up on this:  Reading through their terms and conditions on www.kardiz.com I found:

"If you need assistance, you can contact the Card Support team at support@mychoicecorporate.com or contact the IVR at +44 113 320 0312."

I have received no answer from that email yet.  The phone number appears to be in the United Kingdom.

Looking at the web site mychoicecorporate.com it might appear that  Coinizy/Kardiz is reselling the services of this  My Choice Corporate, or perhaps mychoicecorporate.com now owns Coinizy/Kardiz.  Your guess is as good as mine.

I'm sorry to hear your in the same boat :/  it took 8 days to receive a response from them. But I messaged around 2 times over that period. Unfortunately I'm having the exact same issue with that so called "my choice corporate" it's been 5 days and I've messaged them, twice, with no response. I have a feeling I'll never see that $1700 again..

When you write that you "messaged" them do you mean you submitted another "Support Ticket" or do you know another channel to communicate with them?

I got an answer from the support.
To everyone located within EU and wondering why the card won't work anymore, it's -simply- because of some new European legislation !

Anyway, for France, it goes like these :

 1st law gibberish  (https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichTexte.do?cidTexte=JORFTEXT000033369651&dateTexte=&categorieLien=id)
 Rest of the nonsense  (https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichTexte.do?cidTexte=JORFTEXT000033623267&dateTexte=&categorieLien=id)

Fight against terrorism financing ... oh govt, silly you ::) ::)
Too bad the war on terror is the only one that can never be "won" ...

So now you have to get verified in order to use the prepaid card, even to pay 1€.

EDIT : Or contact the card emitting company and ask for a refund, this is why they asked to contact their "bank".
They stated they can refund me in BTC, but will it be the same rate as when I deposited ?  :-\

I also received an answer from them 17 days after first writing to them.  The email promised to refund my Bitcoins if I would provide an address.  I did so and now we will see.
