Title: Should I be worried about this?
Post by: shakaru on June 19, 2011, 08:23:12 PM
So I just earlier this morning deposited a decent amount of coins to my mt gox account. My bitcoin client says its been sent and confirmed a few times over, but I am not seeing the transaction in blockexplorer. Now block explorer is down and I cant even see where my money is.
Can someone tell me if this is common, or did that account compromise do something somehow? I really just need some piece of mind as that money is my school tuition and if its gone, i need to start working on something to replace it fast.
thankyou

Was your MtGox password under 16 characters long?

As to the password. No, it was not. And as to bitcoin beign done. I doubt it. I am leaving Mt gox as soon as I can get in and withdrawn my coins.

Well atleast that is good. I still have to deal with the fact that I have to try to cashout 16 btc at low prices and still come up with $700 by tuesday now. From what the site says, i cant get in until late monday and even then I dont know if my coins will be there or not.
Well, looks like Im going to back to the cc system

Don't listen to the trolls. It'll be sorted out. Your money still exists somewhere, and if it is mt gox's control they will be able to find it for you.

don't worry durr, you will be ungrounded soon and then you can go play outside again. in the meantime, maybe instead of making up quickly dismissed lies and bs, why not try your hand at making arguments that can at least be misinterpreted at having a logical basis.
